Ok. So why I've often felt Steve Kerr is a tad overrated I strongly believe if these Warriors don't make the play in then questions need to be asked. Jorginho dictates the tempo of the game. And to be fair to him, he has done this well since Tuchel came on board. He has this understanding with Kovacic which helps our midfield lately.

I've been meaning to ask. Besides scoring awoof penalties what does Jorginho actually do on a football pitch? He's basically a Brazilian Mikel with no defensive nous. With mids like Jorginho and Kovacic I don't see how Chelsea ever get to compete against truly good teams

This Denver Nuggets team look really good together. I used to worry they were guard heavy but all that has changed with the trades they completed during the deadline.
A. Gordon looks like a different players especially on defense. I don’t think I have ever seen him move his feet as much as he has done since he joined the Nuggets. He is guarding one through five positions..

Welcome to the 2021/2022 MLB season! I am excited about this season especially because of the young players who will electrify us and look to change the direction of the game. I am talking about players like J. Soto (Nationals), F. Tatis Jr (Padres), V. Guerrero (Blue Jays). This is an very important season for the MLB because viewership and interest is dropping tremendously and MLB understands they have to let go of some of the old unwritten rules and allow players become more expressive.

As for my Cubs? Dem start the season with a loss. I saw the first 5 innings. I don't expect much from us this season. It almost feels like a total rebuild at this point.

That baseball na one sport I never understood till date but I heard it's a punters delight so I'm curious

The one problem the Nets have is that there is only one ball. This is the same issue the Lakers had with Kobe, Shaq, GP and Karl Malone vs Pistons 2004. If the Nets run into a team like the Detroit Pistons of 2004, they could be in trouble. That team had a world class coach (Larry Brown), world class defense (all 5 starters were stingy), a savvy floor general (Billups) and everybody bought in. Ben Wallace didnt have to get the rock. You didnt have to draw up plays for Tayshaun Prince. Rip Hamilton was fine getting 15 or 30 points.

Three teams in the league right now that could have that identity by end of the season: Heat, Utah, Lakers*. I put asterisk on Lakers because their star players have missed too much time to gel. The Heat fit the bill 100%, so its possible the Nets might not come out of the East

The Nets have figured out who runs their ship already. So long as Harden plays the point and KD and Kyrie stick to scoring they would be fine

Forget Heat they are not sneaking up on anybody this year. I really think the only team that poses any real threat to Brooklyn in the East are the Bucks. Ben Simmons and his refusal to be anything other than a 6'10 Rondo will likely doom the Sixers

Styles make fights. In terms of skill Jones is a far better grappler and kicker than Stipe. And Jones IQ is legendary. Ngannou will have to defend multiple takedowns disguised as kicks or punches and multiple kicks disguised as takedowns or punches.

I agree that styles make fights but I believe there is something to be said about Jones taking this long to make this leap. In a sports like MMA power is a very real equalizer especially in the heavyweights. Jon simply has no room for error

Are you sure Jones will want to shoot multiple takedowns on a guy like Francis? This is a guy that couldn't take Dom Reyes down and keep him there. I struggle to believe that he does that with Ngannou who is improving his wrestling game.

You do understand too that the reach and size advantage Jon has enjoyed against majority of his opponents also flies out the window

Unlike Stipe who lost all hope when Ngannou defended the takedown Jones will try and try again each time with a different disguise and technique. And if Jones gets Ngannou down 1 or 2 times it will take a lot of Ngannou’s gas tank to survive as Jones ground game is better than Stipe’s.

To be perfectly honest Ngannou's never been a horrible wrestler. The only way you get Ngannou down is if he lunges wildly and misses or he's gassed. If you shoot at Ngannou just once while he is still fresh you're going to get starched. Just ask Cain Velasquez. Never mind multiple times

Now all the above depends on whether Jones is actually in decline or whether his recent struggles at LHW can be attributed to disinterest. If he is able to go back to an approximation of prime Jones then Ngannou’s skill level and ring IQ has to improve even further.

I don't believe Jones has the power to hurt Ngannou standing. He is going to have to be on his bike circling around the ring (he needs to pray it's a bigger ring)

I don't know if it's a loss of interest or decline though we can't rule out a decline just because Jones has been in the game so long but I believe size matters and getting hit by LHW (most of them blown up MWs) is significantly different from getting hit by a heavyweight never mind a freak like Ngannou. Jones could fight the perfect fight and just one mistake can end it for him. Jones never had to worry about that at LHW because he never had to face such size and power.

Remember that Lewis beat Francis in that boring match in which both of them strangely refused to attack.

Some said that Francis was still trying to recover mentally from his earlier Stipe loss which is why he was tentative. Others said both Francis and Lewis were just too scared of each other’s power.

Whichever way you see it Francis lost to Lewis and with Lewis being highest ranked contender it is only logical that Francis avenge that loss before facing Jones for an all time great fight.

Jones is the money fight. If I'm Ngannou I'd definitely want Jones next. Lewis can wait
