KarnBarlow: I wonder what part of that 64% are kobtards who notoriously dont like LeBron or maybe those who think Kareem is the GOAT. I see a lot of the younger generation who have never seen jordan play who think hes the GOAT out of hatred for LeBron or just because they are in awe of Jordans status as a cultural icon. In the end it wont matter, I'm glad you understand the trend. An MVP trophy and a couple of rings later we will have enough to bury your "goat" in the history books where he belongs. Who do you think is going to run this world in the future? Thats right the dreaded younger generation and trust me, LeBum will reign supreme. Its the cycle of life, so he should be alarmed. You and your goat are outdated. Theres a new GOAT in town and his name is GOAT James.
Nobody hates your LeNomad. They just know he's the faux GOAT mimicking and copying MJ both on and off the court and are appalled by that
If LeNomad was deserving of the title there wouldn't be need for the younger generation to take over. It's not even about ageism. When Tom Brady surpassed Joe Montana in the GOAT conversation nobody waited for no younger generation to give him his title.
MJ did two 3peats! Why do you think he was crowned the GOAT. Do you know how difficult that is to do in any level of Sports?
KarnBarlow: A while ago many will not even entertain the thought. And then a few brave souls dared utter the words. Slowly the gospel began to spread like a wild fire. What started as a minority is now very close to 40% . Now hes consensus number 2 and hes not even done. What do you think is going to happen by the time he retires? Like I said, our victory is inevitable. Your man had a good run, now its time he takes a backseat to the real GOAT.
Actually you should be worried LeNomad is way behind the curve. In the NFL for instance most people already consider Tom Brady the unanimous GOAT. In football it's Messi and Ronaldo. And they are still active
Recency bias isn't even enough to rank him over MJ as we speak
The fact that even in a mostly Generation Z dominated internet an almost 2/3rd majority still consider MJ the GOAT is remarkable. Especially considering that the number flies to over 70% among his basketball peers.
By the time Kawhi and PG deliver a crushing blow to your guy come playoffs this whole charade will be extinguished
Giannis dropping 22-15-15. We're really taking this ninja for granted with the way he's dragging that Bucks team to a 12-3 record without his second best player
Roland17: Don’t be alarmed, the bulk of the 36% represent the younger generation who for the most part have to rely on YouTube and other sources to watch the GOAT. If anything, this is a testament of the GOAT’s dominance considering he still beats everyone in that conversation despite retiring 16 years ago, which ironically is the number of years LeBum has been playing in the league.
Lol you make a good point. Still too close to 50% for comfort
It's still a remarkable feat to have as many as 64% especially in this new social media age and with fewer people who saw the GOAT play active on social media
KarnBarlow: Our victory is inevitable. You'll see.
Mehhh. Two decades since the GOAT really retired and 2/3rd still consider him the GOAT. Could be better but a lot of other oldies in different fields have it worse
Please note that I'm just stating my opinion which Ferrari would never hear not to talk of act on it as they've never listened to me in the past!
Max?? Did people talk when Hamilton ran into Albon and ruined his race? I don't like double standards. What is good for the Jews should be good for Uganda
budaatum: I don't agree with that! Leclerc actually did very well indeed! He would have been 3rd overall behind the two mercs if not for Vettel's red mist moment.
Your opinion. If I recall correctly Vettel was actually past Leclerc in that accident and if we're being objective that accident was not entirely Seb's fault either
MrBrownJay1: bro come on...it doesnt worlk like that. you fully well know who the Vettel haters are on this thread (its been years we are against the Vet), and every time he is going to fukc up, we will rejoice about it.... just like you rejoice and celebrate each and every single time Alonso (or any other driver you dont particularly like) was fukcing up.
Exactly which is why I expect people to own the hate instead of trying to be faux objective with their analysis. Nothing wrong with a little schadenfreude
MrBrownJay1: i certainly dont think he should be fired, far from it.... but you have to admit that Ferrari/Vettel this year are quite a "joke".
They have been a massive disappointment this year no doubt about it. We have Vettel who has driven poorly quite often, a Ferrari team that shoots itself on the foot and a Leclerc who shines in qualifying but flatters to deceive on race day. Enough blame to go round
MrBrownJay1: every time there has been teammate crashes, we have talked about it extensively here on this thread.... the fact that you would expect us to "suddenly" be quiet about it, just because its Ferrari/Vettel is really funny.
when Ricciardo and Verstappen crashed last year, you had no problem with it.... same with Magnussen and Grosjean this year...or better yet, when Hamilton crashed with Rosberg a few yrs back, we all talked about it, and there was no issues whatsoever..... but suddenly you have a problem with us talking about it now because its AGAIN Vettel crashing into his teammate?! these are the juicy bits of Formula one.... lol!
btw...same as always, it is Vettel crashing into his teammate once again.....
chic2pimp: If only the Mavs had someone like Giannis instead of Kristaps, we would be talking about them being a Top 3 favourite for the Title.
I want to believe Kristaps is still rounding into form and give him the benefit of doubt. Maybe my expectations were too high ab initio. I just feel Luka is carrying too much load right now and certain players (Hardaway Jr, Steph's bro etc) are underperforming badly thus far
thorrvik55: I was of the opinion that Gomez was at fault initially and Sterling should not have been sent home, but having seen this I think sending him home is notenough. He should have been fined or something. How petty of Sterling, fighting like a girl scratching someone's face...
He runs like he's holding a handbag. Zero surprises there lol
Roland17: I agree, I think everyone worries about it. The hit he took during the last play before he was subbed on Sunday buttresses that point. I would say he is more elusive than RG3 and a better passer and as he matures I hope he picks his battle. One thing I would say though is that no one should turn him into a pocket passer because he would regress tremendously. Next season would be interesting because DC would have enough tapes to game plan for him, how he adapts to the changes would determine his long term success.
Better passer ke? RG 3 had like 25 TDs and 2 picks his rookie season with the highest ever QB rating for a rook.
Lamar is electric no doubt but RG3's rookie season was spectacular. He might not have been as elusive a runner but he was just as quick and a much better passer than Lamar Jackson is even now. I honestly don't know how he regressed so terribly unlike Lamar who has done the exact opposite
yomi96: make una let us hear word. Most of you guys are prisoners of the moment. The season still long. Lets see if he can keep it up, before we start crowning rubbish
Prisoners of what moment? What megedefegede are you even chatting? This boy is not even 21 yet and he's been balling at an elite level since last season. Prisoner of the moment my ass
Just the eye test alone tells you this boy on the court is like KDB on the pitch. He is seeing things 2 seconds before everybody else
Roland17: I just need him to remain hungry and not allow the noise from outside overwhelm him. If he remains humble and hungry, man!!!! He would be one for Canton..
He should. My worry for him is not getting hurt with his playing style. RG3 is a good example.
Roland17: L. Jackson!!!!!The man is not only beating teams with his legs, he is slinging them out of the stadium.
To think he was the 32nd pick while a guy like Mitch Trubisky was a 2nd pick that a GM traded picks to get makes you wonder how the GM got that job to begin with
