It started from his last season at Barca, and all I can say is that pep guardiola always feels too confident going into any fixtures with the return leg in his home. He feels he can always score the much needed goals to advance to the next stage and keep his opponent at bay provided the scoreline doesn't exceed a single goal in the away fixtures.The disappointment of loosing is not entirely his as you would like to paint it.

His role in this narrative is under rated and rarely spoken about in my opinion. He changed the perspective about color and that position. The QB used to be exclusively for Whites even when they were horrible. Today we have C. Newton, D. Watson, P. Mahomes, D. Prescott, J. Winston, J. Brissett, L. Jackson, K. Murray and they are all starting QB’s in the NFL. This is unprecedented and atoms can be traced to the success of Wilson.

We have had quite a few black QBs in the past. I won't necessarily say he solely opened the doors but that the black QBs simply got much much better and more skilled as passers.

Guys like Kordell Stewart, Cunningham, Culpepper were starting QBs that came around before Vick but neither of them were prolific pocket passers and never got the respect the white QBs got because of their passing deficiencies. The only black QBs that got any real credit were guys like McNair who was MVP once and Donovan McNabb.

Though we also had some spectacular black QB flops (Jamarcus Russell) who didn't just lack talent but the work ethic as well that strongly hurt how black QBs were perceived. And then Mike Vick lol

I will not put this revolution solely on Russell but he definitely played an important role especially due to his squeaky clean persona and abilities too

Dak is a game manager and like Max said that term is not a crime. He will be making an egregious mistake trying to pull off passing stunts and trying to do beyond his level just to look good. I don't know if Deshaun is quite Mahomes level. Mahomes is the most naturally gifted QB I've ever seen. I do think Watson is already a top tier QB though and might be even better with a half decent O-LINE (he holds on to the ball a little too long at times) but he's definitely the 3rd best black QB after Mahomes and Russell Wilson

you cant use this game alone as a way to judge his skills. Remember, Aaron Rogers had similar "struggles" last season - but simple things like O-line and offensive schemes can make a very good QB look ordinary. Dak is good, max contract good, and he will get paid wether its Dalls or elsewhere

The reason why Dak will get paid is really due to the inflated QB market and the genuine scarcity of quality QBs in today's league.

While I think Aaron Rodgers is overhyped if you give him Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper he would do much much better than Dak is doing now.

If anyone is being held back by O-LINE struggles it should be someone like Deshaun Watson not dink and dunk Dak

Whittaker is a pure striker and so for me the most straightforward opponent for Izzy. It would basically come down to who's the quicker to draw and who has the sturdier chin. I also don't think Whittaker has fought a guy as unpredictable and can improv quite like Izzy.

I was split on the fight before but i obviously knew unlike you, gastellum was never going to be KO'd hes never been ko'd in the ufc and his short stocky neck wont allow that easily. Honestly, gastellum is more of a welterweight than a middleweight. IMO this fight demystified him more than added to his talk but i'll leave at that. dont want it to sound as if im hating so i guess we'll wait until the reaper gets back.
