This man is what steph is to the warriors except he had a clutch gene and his game was closer to that of Demar Derozan. The man used a super team to bully lecturers and financial analysts. He's in the borderline between star and superstar, let's leave it at that. Like I said, anybody with working eyes will not look at Nikola Jokic and call him a pretend superstar. hensben: It seem you didn’t read my comments well. I said his inclusion to this Liverpool improved their chances of winning trophies and I went further to made mentioned of Arnold, Robertson and Klopp as a way to tell you that football is a team sport and not lawn tennis. So how come you are saying I commended Van solely? E clear say you like twisting too like raumdeuter. hensben: How do you guys even see football generally? So before you commend Van he has to win a trophy first, like football is lawn tennis. Why can’t you see the improvement he brought to this Liverpool side since his signing, knowing that Liverpool hasn’t won epl for decades now. The last time they won ucl was in 2005, that’s 14 years ago. Since VDD signing they are on course to two ucl finals and challenging for epl titles. The team is still on rebuilding process. Although, they are formidable but still klopp need a reliable squad depth and they will be competing for every major trophies out there. Currently, Klop is my favorite coach because of how he set up his team and groom players to be quality(e.g, in Dortmund and now Liverpool; Robertson and Arnold). Can you see the bolded? Was Van Dijk their only addition? Robertson, Allison? You implied this with this statement |

You have eyes but won't still see the best performer in the defence.
You have brain but you won't still understand the meaning of BEST when used.
You should be loaned from your Bayern Munich back to your old team, Arsenal. You don't belong to the 'champions' league. What did Cannavaro win before he was awarded World Best? Shey you see your life for outside? Ogbeni stop making noise in my mentions and at me when Van Dijk wins trophies like Cannavaro did. Nobody is arguing on the merits or demerits of Van Dijk winning this award. I have never cared for a player winning or losing one so I don't know why you are spamming my mentions ad nauseum. Some of the players you have been hyping are now playing in Russia. Do you see me dancing in your mentions. |

Roland17: I am going to keep it 100 with this issue like I said yesterday.
Here is my position, the referees set a bad precedence in the 1st half when they failed to call those fouls on the Warriors for invading the space of the shooters and it only degenerated in the 2nd half when everyone got involved and was getting away with it. This is the same foul that took Kawhi out,l which resulted in stronger enforcement of the rule.
I think the referees got stuck after the 2nd half and lost control of the game. I think at least two of the Klay closeouts were 100% fouls at the very least. The Draymond one though was absolutely not a foul The refs all round did a terrible job, I also recall Harden himself encroaching Steph's landing area but the Rockets anger was a righteous one tbvh |

You keep repeating this tiresome line. It's very inconsistent and contradictory with your argument. So you know football is not lawn tennis yet you're giving Van Dijk sole credit for the work of Roberson, TAA and Allison Let's ignore what Allison has done, ignore Roberson, TAA for providing 20 assists from the back and still keeping clean sheets and give all the credit to Van Dijk So you know Football is not lawn tennis but you're quick to give Van Dijk sole credit for improving Liverpool even with glaring contribution from others. |

Chelseafan1: Winning a trophy is more than what a player u of all people should understand. Otamendi isn't better than VVD but he's on course to win the EPL. On his own defensive part, he has been exceptional. For a defender to win the PFA ahead of goals scorers and attackers, It tells a lot.
You should be here hailing him and not waiting on him to win a trophy b4 u give him props. I don't owe him any hailing. Trophies matter because nobody argues with trophies. How many pages did you guys come here to wail about Hazard not making the Team of the Year. Why didn't you accept the decision of the voters? Otamendi is not even a starter for City so I don't know why you would use such an example |

The refs were a crying disgrace but it could be argued both sides suffered non-calls. Overall the Rockets need to look at themselves especially Harden. He went to the line 14 times but his inefficiency is too much. Shooting 9/28 FFS |

Van Dijk
The best in the land.
The Dutch centre-back landed the prestigious award ahead of Reds teammate Sadio Mane, Manchester City trio Sergio Aguero, Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling, plus Chelsea's Eden Hazard.
Van Dijk has featured in every Premier League match of Liverpool's title-challenging campaign and has been a mainstay of the team during their progression to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
The 27-year-old is only the sixth defender to be crowned the PFA Players' Player of the Year in the award's history, emulating Norman Hunter, Colin Todd, Gary Pallister, Paul McGrath and John Terry.
Here's a look at some of the LFC No.4's impressive facts and figures from the 2018-19 season so far...
4,015 - Minutes played for Liverpool in all competitions this season - more than any other outfield player in the squad.
3,262 - Touches in the Premier League. Only Chelsea pair Jorginho (3,398) and Cesar Azpilicueta (3,276) have more.
3,205 - Minutes played in the Premier League this season, out of a maximum of 3,240.
2,847 - Passes made in the top flight. Only Jorginho has attempted more.
240 - Clearances made across all competitions - the most of any LFC player and more than double his nearest rival, Joel Matip (92).
193 - Clearances made in the Premier League - a top 10 ranking.
170 - Aerial battles won in the top flight - a top five ranking.
108 - Headed clearances in the league - a top five ranking.
88 - Total shots on target faced by Liverpool in the Premier League - only Manchester City are more miserly, with 79.
76.23 - per cent of aerial battles won by Van Dijk - the best in the Premier League (minimum of 150 aerials).
45 - Appearances for Liverpool this term from a possible 48 games.
34 - Games won across all competitions.
23 - Clean sheets in all competitions.
20 - Premier League goals conceded by Liverpool this season - fewer than any other team in the top flight.
5 - Number of outfield players in the Premier League with more minutes this season.
5 - Goals scored.
4 - Assists provided.
1 - Substitution.
0.56 - Average goals conceded by Liverpool per Premier League match - the best record in the top flight.
