MitrikDenholm: But by your argument it means being in the west would have been better for his legacy. Say he played in the west and made four finals, won four finals, is 4-0. Would that not be better for him than his current record in the east? Not even a subscriber of the whole final losses bull sh it (because it's the most re tarded argument in sports and the only reason it exists is because American sports analysts are imbe ciles).
And BTW heats were the best team in the league, but stop saying far away like there weren't other contenders at the time. Not even close to what golden state was in 2016 let alone 2017.
Well we would never know this for sure, but the main point here is the fact that being in the easier conference to a large extent explains the 7 straight Finals he was able to get to.
You can't choose when to accept or ignore the level of competition when making this argument. If you insist LeNomad played against stronger teams then you have to also accept that playing in a weaker conference aided his ability to get to that number of Finals
In 2016, Golden State had just two players averaging more than 15pts per game. Just two
Funny enough a lot of you Cavs fans don't even rate Steph! same people who think Westbrook is better than Curry and Klay Thompson who can only catch and shoot would still tell you the Warriors are the best team that ever existed
lolawilliams: Rockets would be a good place but I don't think that will be possible. Philly has tons of cap spaces expiring this year. I think he would go to Philly
I doubt it too especially if they are able to beat Golden State this year otherwise it would be a realistic possibility
Philly is better in the long run but would Lebron have the patience for a talented but young team
lolawilliams: Not a new thing that the WCF Is tough but if LBJ played in the west, he would have even gotten more titles. would have been on a great franchise and great management. Imagine if he played in teams like Lakers,Mavs,Spurs,Suns or Rocket and not Cavs were he single handedly carried the team for years. And c'mon, Celtics, Pacers and the bulls were legitimate threat in playoffs when he played with the Heats
Have you forgotten the heat had a competitive series against Pacers and Celtics compared to what they played with OKC.
But if I'm to be honest, if LBJ played in the west, he wouldnt have made that much final appearances because you have to play a competitive game during regular season games to make the playoffs and that's more wear and tear
The Bulls had 0 titles and were in the NBA basement when MJ joined. Tim Duncan also albeit to a lesser degree since they still had Robinson at the time..
The Lakers were not always a great team either. Have you forgotten what happened after Shaq left? However since LeNomad came to the league the West had the Lakers , Spurs, Mavericks, Warriors, Thunder , Suns. Play at least two WCF.
That's not even mentioning guys like one-time finalists like Houston, Denver. Jazz and also rans like the Clippers. The gulf in class is not close.
The Heat were far and away the best team in the league and beat an OKC team of babies
etidy: The point is he was given away too early and too cheaply. If randle who started slowly is now looking like a stud what makes you think Russell couldn't do the same. Harden was a big defensive minus early in his career but he has improved. The NBA has evolved is such that a team looking to win a title can't depend on a point guard who can't shoot. D angelo surely can't do worse than KCP right now. Imagine a core of Kuzma, Randle, Ingram, D Angelo and lonzo all on cheap contracts playing together for one or ywo years with max contract spots opening up for free agents, that's an ideal rebuild. Trying to huryy won't work especially if we don't get Paul George or keep randle. The purpose of a rebuild is not to build a good team that makes the playoff but a team that can contend.
Cheaply? They got an all-star center in Brook Lopez. The issue is all Russell gave the Lakers was scoring. Inefficient scoring
If Russell could do the same we would be seeing the signs in Brooklyn. This is his 3rd year in the league
Harden is still a mediocre defender but helps his team in many more ways. Can you tell me what Russell can do when he is not scoring?
Kuzma. Randle. Ingram already provide enough scoring not forgetting IT and even Brook Lopez when he's in the mood. The presence of a serial shot-jacker like Russell would surely eat up their shot attempts
raumdeuter: Thiago left injured in the first half. I dunno how bad it is. I actually have him and James rotating. If we have Martinez and Vidal then that is good Any of James and Thiago would do but we need Coman back in attack
He's out for a few games for sure.
When is Coman due back? Surely he must return at some point
lolawilliams: I said that cause of Jeffrey fans, they bring that up a lot and fail to compare them to their contemporaries
Yes, it would be embarrassing to see LBJ lose earlier in playoffs but I think it would be more embarrassing to see him in another finals and end up losing again, at this moment whenever i think of an nba finals, all i think of is Lebron battling and carrying his team against the more talented team from the west cause I have this feeling the Cavs team haven't completely found their groove yet but like you said, let's see what K.love would bring to the table when he's back
Loool not this argument again. We keep telling you guys Lebron plays in a weak-a$$ East which is why he was able to make that many NBA Finals in a row in the first place. He wouldn't make that many in the West so the argument is moot.
And it's not like he's not faced less talented teams from the West and still lost
Decale: But Russell is still a better shot than Lonzo.
Magic wanted a pass first PG who thank God can play defense plus the whole saga didn't help matters.
Besides, there are enough shooters on that roster. Even the center shoots better than the PGs. Shooting no be the problem...
Well I have seen Russell play enough to know no serious team would build their roster around him because he gives you next to nothing when his shots are not falling. Lonzo has his limitations but as a floor general has a much higher ceiling
Russell would eat into the shots of these shooters and he's not even a great 3pt guy, his bread and butter is long 2's (which is a no-no for any would be efficient scorer)
lolawilliams: They've been a great team in playoffs for the past 3years but this year is what I can't really say. I have this feeling they won't go to the finals, I don't even want him in the finals, we LeBron fans can't stand a 3-6 jokes
He's definitely leaving, eve the Cavs organization knows this.
There's a reason we've never had 4 straight NBA Finals featuring the same teams. It's incredibly difficult to do. I'm even worried about Golden State because the injuries are piling up
I think if they don't get Love back they are definitely not getting to the Finals unless something weird happens to Toronto.
etidy: He had better. I believe magic Johnson dropped the ball by trading a potentially great shoot first guard Russell because of lonzo. Just look at how Good randle has become with time, the same would have happened with Russell.
Russell is more of a shooting guard. A very inefficient one at that! He was not leading the Lakers anywhere.
Once Lonzo sorts out his shooting form he could be good.
I think Juup should bring Sule and Rudy in. We dont want a suspension for the next game
We picked up a lot of stewpid yellows today. I hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the arse. In a dead rubber game like this it can be rather annoying.
I really don't know how much more of Ribery I can take. I understand at 35 he might not have the pace he once had but one would have thought he would be a bit more cerebral. The kind of dumb decisions he kept making makes it hard to justify why he's in the team. Hopefully we don't have to rely on him against elite opposition
lolawilliams: The Cavs will definitely make the playoffs that's very certain but how far they would go is what I can't tell. I've said it before, this Cavs team isn't a championship team. The team is becoming a boring team to watch.
We need more billboards from top teams, LeBron should leave, he has gotten a ring for them already.
Was just messing around. Who would stop them in that watery East?
I'd wait to see how Kevin Love is when he returns because thus far only the Raptors look like a real threat to keep Cleveland from the finals.
Lebron would leave. He don't need no billboards! We all know this
Mourinho: “I don't want to make a drama of it. That’s football, it is not the end of the world. I sit in this chair twice in the CL and knocked Man United out with Porto and Real Madrid so it is not something new for the club
Mourinho na real Baby Walakolombo. E ma gbo oro were! What a megalomaniac
