Donlittle:I don't think DeAndre deserves a max contract. He relies a lot on his athleticism and the brilliance of Chris Paul. He has no post moves and is a well-known liability on the line. They badly need to upgrade their bench as they can't keep relying on Jamal who is already way past 30 He deserves a raise but if they want to compete in the West handing DeAndre max money without upgrading their bench will be fatal |
Debroslink:Brazzers.com has more credibility than goal when it comes to football |
bigkesh:Wetin we wan take your local champion do? We will bid for him when he scores more than 5 goals and 3 assists in 3 seasons of Elite European competition |
Roland17:Very interesting suggestion. They are just like the Bulls theiir anemic offense would never let them get to the promise land. I don't know if he would be willing to leave the bright lights of LA for a relatively smaller market town like Naptown. I don't know if Harden and Paul can co-exist |
nonsoroyalty:Reaction of Madrid fans when Mou left
|
Yesterday marked the 10th year anniversary of the opening of the World's most fabulous arena. Its brought us a lot of highs and a few lows as well but 6 BuLis 4 Pokals 1 UCL 1 Club World Cup 1 Uefa Supercup Not a shabby return
|
Nice game from Wolfsburg. Dooming Klopp and Kehl to a crushing defeat in their last match for Dortmund put a big smile on my face. Would also be nice to see us face a different team for a change They have work to do in the summer though, I was quite disappointed at how easily they were taken apart by Napoli. They need to upgrade that backline of Vierinha, Naldo and Klose. Perisic and Caliguri might not cut it in the wings either and Schuerrle who was supposed to help seems to have been infected with EPL mediocrity. They also have to upgrade on Bas Dost and Lord Bendtner |
nonsoroyalty:Its only in a small time team like Chelsea and a small time footballing nation like England that a court jester like Mourinho will be granted audience. When he went to Italy and Spain (respectable football nations) his antics where always frowned upon. Little wonder he ran back to England after failing so woefully at Madrid The reaction of Madrid fans and players after Carlo left compared to after Mourinho left says it all |
Where do you suggest he goes? |
FBS:Michel-e lacks the balls to challenge Blatter. He won't do zilch |
FBS:1 Copa Del Rey 1 La Liga In 3 years out of 9 possible trophies he only won two. That is FAILURE! Lol emotional ninja said he wanted to go back to where he is loved Don't worry about Pep. He is finishing his contract at Bayern |
Just last year I was telling yall Mueller is 10 times better than Rooney. Some were arguing Time is a beautiful thing |
Krasid:No mind that loquacious elenu that was disgraced out of Spain |
OohMpa:My point exactly. I don't think Lebron can actually guard Steph. Maybe a guy like Shumpert can but Steph's style is difficult to guard. He shoots the 3, you can't foul him cos he would kill you on the free throw line, he's quick and elusive It all depends on how much help Lebron can get from guys like J.R, Kyrie and co. Klay Thompson also had a concussion. He should be ready by June 4 anyway. Lots of X-Factor guys as well like Barnes, Dellavedova, Draymond Green, Thompson, Mozgov and even Iguodala off the bench you have to wonder if he can slow down Lebron Mynd44:I don't think they need to shut down Lebron. What they need to do is limit his efficiency. He usually gets his numbers but if he needs 6 TO's to get 9 assists and 27 shots to score 35pts then it plays into the Warriors hands |
James Harden. 13 turnovers. Lolololololol that's a playoff record The Rockets did start well but once the Warriors picked up on offense the Rockets couldn't cope. They really need to work on their defence if they want to contend for anything. James Harden can't keep yoyo-ing from great to awful either needs to be a bit more consistent Overall GSW were simply the better team, no shame in that Steph Curry: 26pts 8rebs 6asts 5stls If you are still asking why he's MVP then you need your head examined. birdman:Kyrie can't stop a nosebleed. I suspect they would switch Lebron on Curry and try to see if his size would throw him off balance. Not sure that's going to work anyway I'm leaning towards the Warriors but stranger things have happened |
omar22:You make a good point. I still feel the Mercs made a honest mistake. Hamilton's tires were losing grip and they probably felt they could get away with that stop |
Ribery-Griezmann-Robben Griezmann-Lewandowski-Robben Griezmann-Mueller-Robben Griezmann-Lewandowski-Mueller That attack go bloody gaan We can even go retro and play a 3-4-1-2 |
Biko nyem Griezmann They can have Dante. For free sef |
birdman:Whoaa! And there I was thinking you liked Lebron. Anyway you have to wonder if the Cavs are so good or the Hawks are so bad. I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Whatever happens if the Cavs keep getting solid contributions from guys like Smith, Thompson, Dellavedova and Mozgov they definitely have a chance The Warriors would do well to finish off the Rockets tonight. The last thing they need is to drag this series longer than necessary and having to deal with a Cavs team riding high on confidence |

raumdeuter:When you play against deep-seating teams sometimes you need someone to simply put the ball in the back of the net. Its when your strikers fail to do that that people hail the brilliance of your defense (example 2012 CL Final) I think whatever system you choose to deploy its essential to have some balance. No one kind of player guarantees you success all the time Even Barca now rely on quick counters and long balls and not just tiki taka these days. You would struggle with deep seated defenses from time to time even with Messi in your fold. You have to bait and switch at some point and find another way. Last year vs Madrid even with Robbery you saw how static and predictable we looked. We really need to be a bit more tactically flexible not just with lineups and formations but with simple things like how we transition from defence to attack, especially in the big games raumdeuter:I really think Madrid's problem goes beyond Bale. Too much blame is being heaped on the lad and they are ignoring their real problems, of course he was the biggest culprit in their loss to Juve for instance but it was his finishing and not dribbling that let them down. And then our friend was giving his usual sideways pass and pregnant woman back pass to the keeper instead of trying to actually unlock the defence raumdeuter:I don't know if we can afford to gamble on prospects right now. I don't see much difference between Sterling and the likes of Walcott, Chamberlain, Barkley, Lennon, Zaha etc If not for his young age and the faint hope that he might improve by playing under Pep I would have been 100% against the transfer I would even prefer we take a risk on Draxler if not that injury wan finish him life raumdeuter:2 years ago Goetze was the best u-21 player in all of Europe. Who knows what might have happened had he played that Final. Suarez would have cost almost double what Goetze did and with his idiosyncracies who knows? While Goetze can do much better than he is doing now I'm massively disappointed at the lack of belief Guardiola has shown in Goetze. If he could move Alaba and Lahm the best fullbacks in the world at the time out of position to accommodate average to ok players like Rafinha and Bernat in the Starting XI then I wonder what it would cost him to play Goetze at AM and try to play to his strengths instead of yanking him off the pitch at the first sign of trouble |
raumdeuter:Hopefully someone that can strike and play on the wings and not just a target man, Lewandowski needs competition and that competition isn't Mueller Brahimi isn't Bayern quality and I don't see any upside in him. Sterling I'd take if he won't cost more than £25m but he probably will so I'd pass. We have to extend Weiser, he is 100 times better than Rafinha going forward Bring back Hojbjerg Verratti fouls a lot and his passing range is suspect. If Thiago and Javi (assuming Pep still sees him as a mid) are healthy we have absolutely zero use for him |
I don't know what Pep has planned but I'd like for us to offload Dante and Pizarro, extend Weiser perhaps steal Rudiger from whoever wants to buy him and recall Hojbjerg from loan. Anything but the nightmare of Alonso-Schweini and Lahm midfield Speaking of Schweini its been awfully quiet from his side. I know he is injury prone lately and he's racked up a lot of mileage but he isn't even 31 yet. We ought to give him a two year deal at the very minimum There's talk of Guendogan but I don't know if I want us to pick up another Dortmund player. Plus the midfield really looks crowded IMO, we had no backup for Robbery and it cost us big time Personally I'd rather we go for Griezmann I don't quite get the infatuation with getting a Ribery prototype but we need to appreciate players for their individuality. There would never be another Robbery same way as there was never another Effe, Scholl, Toni, Elber, Sami or Makaay Emphasis should be on who gets the job done and not whose style closely mirrors Robbery the most |
That was quite the shootout! 37 3-pts made from both sides Good to see Steph Curry was able to recover from that nasty fall. Statement game by James Harden. His shot selection was much better and he made the 3pters too If the Rockets can shoot 17 3's every night maybe they would have a shot at making history but going back to the Bay they need to find another way to beat the Warriors. The crowd at Oracle Arena alone would make the task daunting I see the Cavs completing the sweep tonight. That Game 3 loss was just too crushing a blow |
birdman:Well the Hawks have arguably been worse! Its really not rocket science. The Cavs have been the better team thus far, they are getting more contributions from their role players and for the first two games at least shot the ball better than they ever did the entire playoffs Of course no one saw the Cavs going 3-0 up but since the Hawks have failed to play like a #1 seed you can't blame the Cavs for handling bidness |
Roland17:Lool haba e go dey top 10 nau. I do think he has benefited massively from playing in a weaker conference hence why he's played in so many Finals |
Birdman just winding us. How can you say the Cavs were going to drop this series after going 2-up on the road |
birdman:He's had Kyrie for the first two series. Love has zero playoff experience no biggie about that The koko is can Lebron beat the Spurs, Clippers, Grizzlies, Rockets or Warriors without Kyrie and Love? If he beats the Warriors in the NBA Finals then we can talk about his greatness Korver is out, Demare Carroll isn't a 100% I'd advice you don't put money on a Hawks revival |
birdman:He is winning because his conference is WEAK!! There's a reason he is 2-3 vs the West in the Finals. Even with 3 HOF as teammates he suffered a gentleman sweep. |
birdman:Lol the Clippers would have made it a tougher series. The Rockets are 0-7 vs the Warriors and its not by accident Credit to Alvin Gentry too he is the mastermind behind that offense. Enough is also not said about their defense. Its rare to see a team where the entire starting 5 are capable defenders birdman:No disrespect to Lebron but atm Steph Curry is the best player in the game. Best ever not even close but then again you have a right to your opinion The Hawks barely squeaked past the Wizards who were missing their best player and struggled horribly vs the Nets, even the Bulls flattered to deceive I know it sounds like we are salty and you can only beat what's in front of you but you and I know these Cavs are not getting past the 2nd round in the West. They won a series with Lebron shooting below 40% against the 3rd seed! Not happening with the West |
omar22:Well nothing wrong with Ham requesting for a strategist for himself. With Vettel on their tails I don't think the Mercs stand to gain anything from sabotaging Hamilton. These things happen |

Funny thing is how Lebron is feeling bold because there is no pressure
. Im rooting for the warriors next round - i dont want thomas and vallevadova getting a ring. dudes are already feeling too cocky
