WHich credible opponent was Alli still fighting at 40? Pray tell? Who did he beat at age 40

Alli won his last Boxing bout at age 36 while Tyson won his last at age 37.

Tyson's prime was between 1985 and 1991 when he went to jail and who tell us his record in that time.

Before Tyson went to jail his record was 41-1. Before Douglas Tyson was at 37-0 Show us Allis records.

Tyson had 6 losses in his career 5 of which were after he spent 4yrs in jail. Which Sportman goes to jail for 4yrs and would still be at his peak
I said almost 40 abi you no dey understand English for night?? In the annals of boxing who are more likely to be remembered Trevor Berbick and Larry Holmes or Clifford Etienne?

And who where the decent fighters Mike Tyson fought within his supposed prime?? Ali only ever lost 5 times fighting some of the best boxers in the history of boxing more than once! yet only once was he ever knocked down even when he was clearly past his peak. Whose business if Tyson went to jail? Did i send him there. Why was Tyson able to beat an assortment of duds all through his career but always got his a$$ whooped after meeting a decent fighter

Did Mohammed Ali also fight at close to 70?

That must mean Foreman is greater than Mohammed Ali.

If Roger Milla can score a world cup goal at 42 then whats Peles excuse? That must mean Milla is greater than Pele
Dont be a simpleton! Obviously the statement was tongue in cheek but he was still almost 50 before he retired. Ali was still fighting credible opponents at almost 40. Did Pele come back to the game and play?? Why did a Tyson who was supposedly in his prime get beatdown by his first formidable opponent "Holyfield" when someone who was way older was able to hang with him. If at 30 he still got beatdown like a punk by the same nucca that couldnt knock down a 42 year old man then yall dont even have a clue

Mario will walk straight into any team. Can you say the same about Wil-minini? wil-who?

So I ask, who is wheelkeke?
[/quote]On what basis?? An overhyped nucca who gives occasional flashes of brilliance at best he should join the MMA since he thinks he is Van Damme on the pitch. It was so nice to see him binsh-slapped by Materazzi

Mario for all we know is a winner and with trophies (important trophies oo, not emirates cup) to show for it.
And how important was he to that triumph?? Wesley Sneijder's girlfriend was more important to Inter last season than he was

You Tyson fans ought to be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves for comparing that blob to the Great Muhammad Ali! After watching a George Foreman at almost 70 years old fight Evander Holyfield to a stand-still on Classic Fights. What is Mike Tyson's excuse?? Or was Foreman in his prime?

I swear I almost did the same thing . . . a still small voice spoke to me and said, leave it on, you never know smiley. What a comeback - and anytime the giants are thrashed is always a good watch. I'm so happy for Vick. If the Pats end up in the SB vs him, I will not feel an iota of bad if he wins it all. What a great story. PETA lovers eat your hearts out suckers  tongue

As a side note, I wonder how McNabb feels watching from Washington at how much success Vick is having with Eagles team.

@Bawo,
I cannot watch a Bears/bulls game without thoughts of you being evoked. I hope you're smiling wherever you are . . . and enjoying the schooling Brady dished on Cutler last week too.  kiss miss ya dude.
Especially since he has been nothing but a tumor since joining the Skins! It seems that franchise is just cursed

Thanks to the Panthers for actually making my Steelers look good! Y'all where an embarrasment yesterday! The Panthers that is

The games to watch out for this weekend are definitely
Packers vs Giants (More or less win or bust for the G-Men)
Saints vs Falcons (More or less for who runs the NFC)

@Jesoul
Is Brady auditioning for Passion of the Christ Part 2?? Just curious

Ok. I'm done with work this year, so I can now concentrate on this NBA.
I just cannot see who will stop Derick Rose and Carlos Boozer this night and the Bulls can win it even with double-digit margin. Furthermore, the starting 5 of Chicago played no more than 30 minutes and they should not be tired. Wizards are still without John Wall who will be out until at least January and they are expecting the debut of Rashard Lewis but I think that this will be more negative for them than positive.
The Magic really have a conundrum on their hands with who to start at the point. Jameer Nelson or Agent One lol. Arenas is not a point guard and with his previous jobs at Golden State and Washington it would be a disaster to build a team around him but i see no reason why he cant start at backcourt with Jameer Nelson! They can even play small ball and run the floor with him,Nelson and J-Rich (Defending and rebounding might be a problem if all three stay on the floor too long) Time will tell if they can challenge though

As for the Bulls its still so sad their No1 fan is no longer with us i hope he is cheering em on wherever he is. The Bulls are in good shape they might be the dark horses this season cos guys like Kyle Korver and Ronny Brewer have been utter steals and their new coach is working magic with that team

For the Mavs they have been excellent this season its almost too good to be true! They have beaten Boston,S.A,Heat and Orlando on the road. You cant complain about that

Looking forward to the Christmas special! Heat vs Lakers. Merry Christmas people! Stay safe

@Dr Kit
I nor share your sentiments on the Barca tip ooh! It would be a miracle of Lazarian proportions for us to beat Barca. Make we no deceive ourself for here! I am a diehard Gunner and would still support my team that day hoping for the best but expecting the worst because it would take divine intervention for a team with lower quality and a tactically inferior coach to play and win Barca! We go most likely wan follow them taka unto who sabi knock ball pass and that may be our biggest undoing!
Me I don't know where you get your confidence from oh as I don turn to Femi wonder wonder for here as to why a team that thrashed JM's Madrid by 5 goals shouldn't be feared! As to how our assemblage of chokers would fare against the winners at Barca! I know you cant stand em but IMO we got the worst possible draw

As for Song. Wenger just wan spoil that boy career! I look no further than Eboue when I remember the pitfalls of his so-called experiment! With a shaky goalie a central back pairing of Kosileyin and Squilla and the erratic Clichy I don't know why Wenger would still insist on Song bombing forward! It makes no sense in heaven and on earth
With the attacking options we have Song should be more of an auxiliary CB to add some steel to our porous backline. Wilshere and Denilson lack the defensive abilities to man that position when Song bombs forward

That was how he wrecked Eboue's career! Mr Meddle! Why not focus on making him a better defensive midfielder! Claude Makalele did not score up to 5 goals in his career but he is still revered worldwide. His primary constituency is shielding our back 4! We have more than enough attacking options

You just knew it was shaping up towards this, if na here the UCL tory end for this year, the team only have themselves to blame for not being better in the group stage, yet another hard lesson learnt. We would have met them at some point anyway to win the cup. The team can only go and try their best, if we get knocked out, so be it, lets focus on winning the CC first of all.

I'm however not throwin in the white towel cos they still have to beat us on the pitch, but if you get beaten by Barca there is no shame in that abeg, go ask Mourinho's backside.  grin

debosky:
I don’t know - the issue is, this isn’t some ‘beating big teams’ issue as lazily presented - it appears to be something more fundamental with the team at the moment.
What is the issue then? And why is it so mysterious that you cant seem to place a finger on it? Perhaps you need some haitian voodoo and headless chickens. We could go to Okija shrine and find out who Arsenal has offended then

debosky:
So we make mistakes because of ‘mentality’ alone? huh Seriously dude - stop feeding on lazy analysis. Looking through key parts of the team, especially in defence, we are obviously weaker than Utd.
Mentality is the biggest problem!! This is the 3rd straight season we are throwing away two goal leads do you ascribe that to the poor quality of players we have??
Wigan came from behind to beat us last season Tottenham did the same this season? Are weaker than those ones too?

debosky:
Instead of inventing things like inferiority complex, why not look at the quality of the side instead?
Because the gap in quality is not much! I dont think Man Utd are so ahead of us in quality that we could only create 1 chance in all 90 mins! I dont think they are so better that we would lose 5 straight games to them

debosky:
Arguably our two best players weren’t match fit/ready, and our best defender’s been out all season. Yet we’re two points off the top. Now that is what perspective is, not claiming we can end up like Liverpool because we lost to Utd.
Their presence there does not guarantee anything! Referring to Liverpool might have been a stretch though

debosky:
I have concerns like anyone else, but a lot of fans take the slightest opportunity to go off the deep end, and I don’t accept that.
Is the team dead and buried? No! Did we put out arguably our worst performance this season? Yes! Shikena
Besides some of us fans are tired of singing the "Same Song" like Digital Underground

debosky:
Dunno - but last I checked, Utd’s league title in the year they lost almost all the ‘top 4’ games isn’t any less than the others they’ve won.

If we have such an issue beating the top teams, then focus on beating the others.
Utd where not losing at home to Newcastle and West Brom and throwing away large leads that season where they?? We are not beating the top teams and are struggling with the smaller teams as well so what gives??

Una wey dey ask for Barca i hope yall are happy now? You have gotten your collective wishes

^A-40 has come again . . . lol.

Both the LA and Boston teams from last years finals were pretty much evenly matched - which is why it went all the way to 7 games in the first place. It all comes down to who can execute the game-plan better at crunch time and it happened to be the Lakers (courtesy of being at home) as indeed the Celtics were up earlier in the game and let it slip away.

So 40-dude, it is by no means a given that a healthy Gasol and Bynum renders the Lakers unbeatable - for whia? smiley

Now slowly able to think about Bball on NL again since Bawo. Anytime I hear Bulls or Bears or Chicago the thing just pain me too much. Mehn I miss that Rose groupie cry
They where evenly matched because the other team's center was playing on one knee!! Simple! A healthy Bynum would not have allowed that series last 7 games. It is damn near impossible for arguably the best frontcourt in basketball to get beat! They are too long and too skilled to be beaten in a 7 game series that is if the series even lasts 7 games
