Nzogbia started his career as a central midfielder.

He covered left-back a few games.

Now he plays left wing and right wing.

That's the reason the boy has developed good touches, and knows how to protect the ball like a central midfielder.
Walcott is more of an impact sub. A bit hit and miss. He can't protect the ball, nor pass well. He can either be very great or totally non-existent. The only reason not to write Walcott off is that PACE AND FINISHING ALONE CAN TAKE YOU A LONG WAY!!!
But this season he has only scored once off the bench! It would shock you to realize that most of the games Theo ends up scoring in are games he actually starts in! It is this wrong notion and cliche that is stunting this boy's growth and is making Wenger erroneously rely on him as an impact sub. He is better when he starts! And all the facts are there to back it up! He cant protect the ball and cant pass well yet he provided 6 chances in one game for Bendtner and Bendtner wasted them all! He also did the same for England and Lampard singlehandedly squandered 3

mystikal:
Na wa for this N Zogbia headache o. That Guy is a decent player and I think he gives his team more than what Walcott gives us, and Walcott is pretty effective too.
Not all players have the ''luck'' of playing in big teams, Just as some average Players are lucky enough to play in bigger teams [Diarra~Madrid, Mascherano~Barca, Valencia~Utd  grin].

Meanwhile, heard Nordtveit has been sold to Borussia Moenchengladbach, I was hoping it'll be a loan deal instead.
That is because more is expected from him at Wigan! Its not rocket science. Nzogbia would be a role player at Arsenal at best

That is one of the pitfalls of Wenger's policy! This guy has been at Arsenal for 4 seasons now and never even made a senior team appearance

@Dr Kit
Ol boy Rosicky has been a boss since way back when! Both for club and country I don't see what this has to do with Nzogbia's case. Arshavin more or less had 2 good seasons or thereabout but those cats have nothing to do with the argument. He was playing in Russia and not an exposed league like England and still experts had their doubts and wondered why he was leaving Russia so late

A top winger at some point should be on the wishlist of a top club and for someone who has been featuring week in week out for about 3-4 seasons to not be in that reckoning must mean something is fundamentally wrong somewhere! If you don't agree that a 24 going on 25 year old winger who you rate so highly is not been rated by other clubs then we are better off pounding yam with syringes

I used Sagna's move to Arsenal as an example of a player joining a big club and blossoming I never said Arsenal is the only big club! Tottenham is miles apart from Wigan. Samba is hardly an elite defender! Don't let his height and screwface deceive you
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (R.I.P Bawomolo). by A40(m): 2:40am On Dec 31, 2010
@Dr Kit
Sagna till 07-08 was a non entity in world football! If he didn't move to Arsenal he woulda remained one! Besides defenders peak late on the average. Clichy mscheww that one na player? Let Nzogbia move to a decent club first. By the way what is so star-studded about this present french national team? The joke's on you maynne
He is versatile at a position or he sucked at it and had to be moved forward Walcott does not justify the hype around him but he has been relied upon and has actually bailed us out in important games in the past. Only an imbec!le would play Nzogbia ahead of Walcott

Rodallega is an average Joe! Carroll is 21 and still on the come up! The rest you listed are average players
A 24 year old winger that is not at a top club or getting serious look-ins from top clubs is a joke! Considering an average winger's lifespan is short

Come off it bruv! Who doesn't know Nzogbia started at LB with Newcastle?

@Eldee
Me I am not blind to his weaknesses I do agree he could do with a better first touch. I am just pained at his under-utilization!
Don't mind these guys! They prefer Diaby's drimbles and Denilson's 'make e no spoil for my hand' passes

That is the million euro question! Why is the nucca still at Wigan? In a shyte team like Wigan who else would shoulder the creative burden? This does not in anyway make him better than Walcott! How can a nucca that got his 1st intl cap at 24 be better than Walcott? This is absolutely absurd! Nzogbia ko why not Awilo Longomba

@Dr Kit
I agree he adds a dimension to our game! A very slow dimension! How many goals and assists does he create in a season? His highest tally all through last season was 8! Abeg he is one player we can do without! Duduspace even went as far as listing him in our top three performers of last season! I laugh in Old Testament
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only (R.I.P Bawomolo). by A40(m): 11:00pm On Dec 30, 2010
@Dr Kit
Diaby's foolishness forced Koscielny to make that error! If you don't agree with that then there is nothing left to argue! As for Nzogbia no way is he better than Walcott! On what basis? All Walcott needs to sort out is his ball control which would improve as he gets more playing time once that is sorted out we have a guaranteed 15-25 goals a season player! And he would not even need to play central to match that tally
Back to Nzogbia can you please tell me why no serious club has made any substantial bid for him? Is he going to die at Wigan

@Ibime
Please remind me how many international caps Nzogbia has again. Which international should we call him? French? D.R Congo? I doubt he would even make their national team with the way T.P Mazembe is balling
Why is a player so fantastic still at a club like Wigan? Abeg go and rest
As for Diaby he is nothing more than a luxury player who is just an inch above average! Wilshere has already showed more promise in half a season than Diaby has done in his Arsenal career infact it would take Diaby another two seasons to play with the intelligence Wilshere is doing now

@ A-40,

Nucca stop hyperventilating. I'm sure Diaby did not spend up to 20 mins on d pitch last night.
Which butt-cheek do you watch footie games with? The left or the right? If you paid attention to these Arsenal vs Chelsea games at all you would observe that sometimes all Drogba does is score and not much else

Diaby was only on the pitch 20 mins and was able to cost us a goal! i wonder what woulda happened if he spent all 90! It was his Pentium I Windows 95 brain that made Kosileyin try in vain to clean up his mess! i heard he aggravated his injury! i hope its long-term

Ol' boy no be fight nah. . . . . its simple --- apparently the team has regained form is on a high at the moment & the slip-up against Wigan could have been as a result of the 8 changes bah!?

So, i am banking on the fact that buoyed by the very impressive, total domination & eventual white-wash of perennial nemesis Chelsea, that the next time the "preferred first team" plays again, we'll see more of the sterling performance that was dished out to Chelsea a few nights back. . . . .if they do it repeatedly over the next 3-4 matches, i guess we can all safely agree that the Chelsea win was no fluke!?
Bros apply brain nau. We where on a low before that game having lost to a title contender in Utd never mind how the media kept drumming it in our ears that we where yet to beat Chelsea with Drogba and Essien and then the three straight game without scoring too. You would need to be high to think we where on a high! There is no rule that says our first 11 would have beaten Wigan but the team out there was good enough to beat Wigan and nearly did
Whether we beat Chelsea when next we meet them is immaterial it does not take the gloss out of this win! Milan had been whooping your ass in the UCL! Prior to last season so can we say your 4-0 victory over them in the 2nd round last time out was a fluke?? So as i said before apply brain

Back in the day you could be hardcore and still sell but these days you just have to dumb down your music to survive. Methinks pop culture has switched their attention from rap to other genres of music and the main players nowadays have followed suit. But i think music as a whole has gone down south not just rap. Listening to mid-late 90's rap and early 2000's you dont need rocket science to tell you Rap is Dead

What is this nucca saying?? Are you telling me they could not have regained their form against Arsenal. We out-played them from start to finish and deserved the win! As a matter of fact the scoreline flattered them! This does not mean we cant go on to lose 10000-0 to Birmingham but as far as that match was concerned it was a mismatch!

Looking at the bench, I'd have taken Bendtner off since Chamakh is better at retaining possession than he is, replaced Bendtner (who was playing on the wing) with Nasri who can hold on to possession. I would NOT have played Walcott because he's taken too long to cause an impact on games from the bench this season.

Secondly, I'd switch Sagna back to his natural position and bring on Clichy, pushing Eboue up the field to provide additional protection on that wing.

What we needed was one ball holding substitution (Nasri) and one defensive one (Clichy).
How long did it take him to make an impact against Partizan?? There is no sub that can make an impact in all games but introducing Walcott earlier would have provided an outlet for attack much earlier and would have probably given us a 3rd goal (You know with Arsenal these days even two goal leads are not enough) Even at the late hour he was brought in i could count 3 different occasions where Walcott was clear and a quicker pass would have released him (i guess this is what he needs to learn from Cesc! Sometimes he can also be a bit of a ball hog)
Lets move on to the Birmingham game tho. There is no time for all this it wont change shyte

RuuDie:

Even Gran' Papa Song complete with his Santa Claus outfit woulda conveniently completed one hundred and twenty minutes of that game marking DD without hassles. . . .why!? DD just didn't show up for that game and it was not because the Arsenal defence did anything special - the whole Chelsea team were just off color that night!
This is opaks in black and white! I would like to believe you are at the African Shrine this minute taking some skunk. Who was that nucca raving about Diaby's importance to the team? Gekko abi wetin u call urself? Was ur head between Susan Boyle's thighs?
Diaby is crap! I would argue that one anywhere on God's green earth

Why is Wenger such a biased nucca? After Djourou's heroics the least he shoulda gotten was a start against Wigan its not like Kosileyin and Squilla have outperformed so far this season. All in all we became complacent midway in the 2nd half and Mr Wenger for the umpteenth time chose to be reactive than proactive. Fabianski's poor positional sense was to blame for the 2nd goal tho

@Duduspace
You are having a laugh! Of course everything at Wigan goes through Nzogbia so its easy to get the impression that he is a fantastic player! Truth is Nzogbia would be nothing more than a role player at Arsenal. Walcott's finishing,pace and off the ball movement sets him miles apart of both Johnson and Nzogbia. Not that I expect you to agree since Theo can do no right in your eyes
I hope u saw ur Diaby in action as well

Let's not over elaborate on this game! We can remedy it on Saturday by going all out and doing the right thing against Birmingham! We had every opportunity to beat Wigan but Wenger's tactical deficiencies showed again
