Politics › Re: Dapo Abiodun Has Sold Ogun State To Christians: Muslim Group Complains by a4cube: 8:32pm On Aug 06, 2020 |
LegendHero: Nope, you are committing a fallacy of hasty generalization.
Firstly on Amotekun, the rejection by MURIC is strictly based on his personal conviction and not a reflection of the SW Muslims. We have countless Muslims that supported Amotekun and even lot of their foot soldiers are Muslims. So how exactly do you think Muslims oppose Amotekun?
Per the issue of politics and religion, you will be a hypocrite if you think Christians also don’t most times scream marginalization is a certain government is perceived to be skewed to a certain religion (Islam).
It’s really disturbing that you could think MURIC agitation is a representation of the SW Muslims. When have you heard of Muslims making noise even when 5 out of the 6 SW governors are Christians?
Please brother, we should all condemn MURIC as an organization and not try to see the Muslims in Prof. Akintola’s image.
I have always condemn Prof. Akintola on issue such as this on Nairaland.
See the below: here is where CAN accuses Aregbesola of Islamization in Osun! Most of those things sometimes are more politically motivated than religious principles. Always in denial, am not surprised it's a Nigerian thing. Remember when Boko Haram started, they started with Christians and migrated to anybody in their sight. Muric is just starting, b4 this administration nobody know Muric but now they are the megaphone of SW muslims though not official yet. The earlier you guys remove the monkey hand from the soup the better you and Nigeria in general. Was it the same Muric that took one SW state to court on issue of Hijab? Muric is being sponsored I can bet my last kobo for that. |

Even YOU will have to show your papers to be anywhere in Nigeria like Lagos, Abuja, Kaduna, Jos, Benin etc, because you WILL be deported en masse to the east if you secede. Good luck dealing with Nigerian police in showing your residency permits. Scaremongering |

Ritchiee: If you want to disprove, disprove this or keep mum..
Clustering in a location of largely one ethnic group before you can do business does not make for a good business trait but it does help when you are not as astute and business savvy as the Yorubas.
Igbos too are very good but Yorubas are better in business.
I have given a lot of examples... You can disprove me wrong sha if it is not true.
Yorubas are the only business people who have managed businesses sucessfully for more than 60,70 years and still counting.
Yorubas are the business people who have gone abroad with nothing and built multi billion dollars and multi billion pound sterling businesses.
Yorubas are the ones who have the largest number of verified business people in Nigeria.
Yorubas are the biggest importers in Nigeria.
Yorubas have the 2nd largest foreign exchange earner for Nigeria...after oil...for a long time now.
Yorubas have the largest indigenous industries in Nigeria.
Yoruba business people have shown resilience and great business acumen even in the face of bad policies when they were in opposition and they still survived more than the favoured businesses.
Yorubas were the earliest rich and famous Nigerian business people. No people were before them.
Yorubas are the only people who have posted 114 business people both home and abroad who have attained the billionaire state. Some in Naira and some in Dollar. We are not talking about ghost billionaires but people that can be verified with a click on your phone. I say kudos to Igbos but better and louder kudos to the Yorubas because of their great business exploits at home and abroad. I really dont understand what you meant by clustering. Should the electronic dealer leave the market for electronics and go open electronics shop at a building material market? Biz doesn't work like that bro. They are where the type business they doing is done. Even in the same market somebody selling TV can never go to the Radio section to open a tv shop. And nobody is saying Yorubas or Hausas dont know business. The fact is Igbos are the masters and no argument about that. How many Yorubas are business men/women in Sokoto, Jo's, Maiduguri, Kano, Kaduna not to talk of SE and SS states. Even in SW states Igbos match pound to pounds or even more to Yorubas. All those names you listed are not upto one LINE at Alaba or New Market Onitcha. So bro, nothing to disprove or approve only that you leave in denial of a simple fact know to all even other african countries know it. How many non Igbo Nogerians have a commercial biz in Ghana, Angola, Ivory Coast, Mauritius, Senegal, Togo, Cameroon, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, Zimbabwe? |

Ritchiee: lol
Says a gala hawker. A scan through my handle will say otherwise but nevertheless gala sellers are not less human. There is dignity in labour. I still maintain, the only recognized market far and near in Lagos are Alaba, Tradefair, Balogun, Ladipo, Computer Village. Any other one is what we refer as Eke market, Orie Market, Nkwo Market and Afor Market. Where u buy foodstuffs and some home DIY tools. |
Politics › Re: IGBO BUSSINESS MEN: Sudden Wealth And Their Rituals -timothy Anietie by a4cube: 11:27am On Jul 07, 2020 |
Ritchiee: Research has shown that Igbos, because they are visitors especially to SW,always cluster in a location thereby making the place a trading base with mostly Igbo people whereas Yorubas do not do this because they are mostly the hosts.
Below are some major markets in Lagos. Some that you know are dominated by Hausas and Igbos but most are dominated by Yorubas but not in very large cluster like Alaba,Mile 12,,Computer Village etc.
You Igbos just move from your houses to your shops everyday. Most of you do not know Lagos well except some who hawk.
Move out of your shell, old man.
Coker market Owode Onirin market Alaba international market Ajah Market Balogun Market, Lagos Island Bar Beach Market Computer Village Ebute Ero Market, Lagos Island Ekpe Fish Market Ikotun Market Idumota Market Ita Faji Market Isale Eko Market, Lagos Island Jankarra Market, Lagos Island Ladipo Market Lekki Market Agboju Market Daleko Market Morocco I and II markets Mushin market Oyingbo Market Mile 12 Market Oniru New Market Fespar market Oshodi Market Rauf Aregbesola Market Téjúoshó Market Sangotedo Market Ajuwe Market Jakande Market Akodo Market, Epe Boundary Seafood Market Apongbo Market (household and souvenirs) Minus few known markets in ur list others are mushroom markets for peasants. |

Ritchiee: I was at Owode Onirin and I found out that it was 98% dominated by the Yorubas. We have a few Igbos though. That is a mushroom market. The only internationally recognized market in Lagos Alaba, Tradefair, computer village, Ladipo, and those once in Lagos Island are all Igbo dominated. Owode Onirin where is that located pls and what trade goes on there? |
Politics › Re: IGBO BUSSINESS MEN: Sudden Wealth And Their Rituals -timothy Anietie by a4cube: 9:54am On Jul 07, 2020 |
Ritchiee: Why don't you travel too? The largest number of plastic manufacturing companies and glass manufacturing companies are in the SW... mostly owned by Foreigners and a few Yorubas. The largest markets for glasses and plastics are in the SW. Yorubas control the markets for these 2 especially in the SW which has the biggest market for them.
https://www.nigeriagalleria.com/Manufacturing_and_Production/Plastics_s.html
Go all over Lagos and the SW,vehicle businesses are controlled by Yorubas with a sprinkle of other tribes.Elizade only imports and deals with Toyota, the most popular brand of vehicles in Nigera. We also have Lanre Shittu motors who also assembles vehicles,Oluwalgbon motors is another very big player,Skymit motors is also very big and also Tejude motors etc All of these auto entities can be located in other areas in Nigeria.
These are big players in the league if choscharis who happens to be the only big Igbo fish in vehicle Biz You never hear of Globe Motors? |
