Stupid imam. You collected the cheque knowing full well risky sleeps with men but now turn around to call him gay after discovering the cheque was fake. Screw you!!! |
budaatum:With a handful of comments of yours I have come upon on here in the past, I have always deemed you to be just about the only genuine Nairaland's atheist Those terrorists and the masterminds of all these attacks will know no peace in life and in death |
Guest007:That guy is full of shiit-load of hate. A bloody hate-filled contemptible bigot he is. |
true2god:No one's won nothing. Amend your ways |
true2god:Humans of your ilk are the reasons the world is what is. Your botched attempts at trivialising the weight the word "invasion" holds in such context have shown to everyone the deviousness and devilry of your abjectly dark mind. One doesn't have to be a grammar fusspot to know intervention and invasion are not synonymous. I don't have problems with your polemical comments but your proclivity to dissimulation on islamic subjects. After all, atheists slate Islam all the time and give me a good laugh in doing so. Even the holy bible says: speak the truth, and the truth shall set you free. |
louiskay:You've learnt nothing. Does that look like a guardrail? |
1stCitizen:Thank goodness I'm not alone in this. If it's possible at the moment, can you gimme the name of the book? |
handsomeyinka:E be like say you no dey naija |
true2god:Retorting the ad hominen drivel could not even camouflage your usually conflagrant insincerity and shenanigans. You always strike me as a dodgy fella, as far as your Islam section persona is concerned, that is, and your word play a few comments back just killed off the unreserved reservations I might have harboured as regards your honesty on islamic matters. Empiree might not have raised an eyebrow over your mischievous use of "intervention" in place of invasion just so you could gloss away the insensitivity and cruelty of your all-loving America and her stooges but not everyone is so forgiving. Your loving former President Bush intervened, whatever that nonsense connotes, in the state of affairs of sovereign Iraq but came out to say he was sorry. Ain't it an irony, mate. He should rather have shoved his bloody penitence up his filthy arse. Though this platform is a faceless forum, but always be in the knowledge that not everyone here is a dodo. |
true2god:Your comments in the Islam section invariably smack of mischief, deception, dissimulation, hypocrisy, and much worse dispositions. I'm definitely not on the cudgel here, certainly not. But can you tell me you honestly and truthfully mistook invasion for intervention? Honest world-politics enthusiasts would cringe at the level of unabashed dishonesty you have just demonstrated. |
YouareaBITCH:What about you ladies who look down on a guy if he's not demanding for sex in a relationship. |
Empiree:Now you can I see why I earlier wrote that you and movado19 are blessed. The brother exudes knowledge and wisdom in all of his comments. |
Lordave:I know that thread. The guy made one of the useless comparisons in modern times. |
Britishcoins:You can take the lead. |
Empiree, awon alfa nla ti lo faa. My father used to tell us about one alfa in Ebira land. He was called "Alfa oni tira". According to him, if you go to the alfa for prayer, his only prayers were Fatiha & Solatu Fatih. For example, if you went to him to complain about failing business he would say: you have told Allah your problem not him, may Allah bless your business Fatiha, Solatu fatih. And will bring baraka into that business. No matter the problem you took to him, even if it is village people, na Fatiha, Solatu fatih be the prayer and, in sha Allah, that problem would be over. The likes of this alfa are difficult to come by these days, and the few ones left are old and will leave us soon enough. One imam said, "awon alfa wonyi aba aye je. Won ani ko si nkan ti onje batini, gbogbo nkan ni sohir." LOL ... The next generation go suffer ehn. At least, most of us were born when sheikh Adam, Sambo and other alfa nla in Lagos were alive. But the coming generations go meet awon alfa who would give more weight to ahadith than the holy Quran. Even those ahadith would be approached superficially by them.. E don dey happen small small self. |
Empiree:I was a wee shocked when a boy, who had only spent a few months in ilorin, said there are a handful of churches there. Not that I expected it to be church-free but I didn't think it would be so easy y to locate one. I spent a year in Dutse, Jigawa and I knew only 2 churches then. They were probably more then, but were the obvious ones. I was discussing with my brother about two years ago, about what awon alfa aweri (alfa zumura) used to do and how we miss them. The ones I known all my life in Lagos are old now. Those alfas were the reasons Islam was able to spread its tentacles in South Western Nigeria, but their legacies are being besmirched by us. Do you know that back in the days Christians used to fear Muslims, so much that you'd hardly find a church near a masjid. All that was by virtue of what the aweri did to them and their churches. Recently, one imam even moaned about how the nasarah are now so ballsy as to build their churches close to masaajid in Lagos 'cos one was being built adjacent to his masjid. Its a common sight in Lagos these days And with sectarianism so entrenched in our religion, it will be an utterly onerous, if not impossible, task to go back to our root. May Allah bless those babas. |
movado19:If we don't kill sectarianism, it will kill our faith. |
Empiree:Exactly. Pot calling kettle black. |
Empiree:If they claim to believe in the ahadith of the Prophet SAW, why then do they deny this? Abi any hadith can now be rejected on whims ni. I'm confused. |
movado19:Wow!! Subhanallah!! This is some incredible stuff coming from you, brother. This your experience is another big proof that dreams are a means of receiving messages and by extension, the 46th part of nabuwa as stated in the hadith referenced by Empiree. So why do some deny this? What is wrong with some people? |
One username, which I can't remember for if I do I'll mention him, on here deridingly asked "from who"(sic), when Empiree wrote that dreams are a means of receiving messages. It was in the mid 2000s, when my big bro was going through hell on earth. As a jaye jaye that he was, he was broke and only lived on his past street credibility as a tough guy. There was an alfa - a younger brother of his intimate friend, in fact, they all lived together at the time, who told my bro of a baba alawo who comes to Lagos once every few months to help people after my bro asked if he knew any strong baba who could make him agbo iba or something . He took him there; but while this alfa left them alone, my bro changed the subject and told the baba what he really wanted was "ogun owo" (money ritual), and baba said it was no big deal and that he'd done for many people, even popular ones. I should just conclude the story here with the dream part but, for those who think there's no such thing no dey deceive ya self oo... The baba gave him four options to choose from: 1) He'd be made a bathing soap, which he'd use but must not come in contact with his eyes or he goes blind. 2) It would be made for him such whenever he thought of spending some money, all he had to do was just to dip his hand in his pocket with the intention of the amount he wants, and he'd bring out the the exact amount but must return from the money into his pocket, everything must be spent or...... I don't know. 3) He'd make a box (a small coffin, to be precise) and keep in his wardrobe. And says every morning he would find the box filled with money which must be emptied, and that the money coming next day must not meet that which was found in the box the previous day, so wherever he was he must go home to empty the money -filled coffin. 4) He'd get a piece of land, with the view to developing in it, dig a well in it and slaughter a ram in the well once every year. And the baba said, even after my bro's passing his children must continue that tradition like that yearly. The baba asked him to come back after two weeks and said he would go back to his village to get the ingredients for the ritual because they could not be got in Lagos He didn't tell me the option he chose but said it was not the first option. He said, he'd gone to price his favourite car then and boasted to his fellow drunks at the bar how he was gonna be the first Otunba of Lagos from our state. LOL.. He said, before two weeks had lapsed, one day he got a call from our sister (younger than him) in Abuja, and on the phone, he could feel she very nervous. And she said, "boda mi, mo ma la ala buruku kan si yin" ( my brother, I had a bad dream about you). I dreamed that you went to do money ritual and died in the process or afterwards, I'm not which was it again, but he shaa died in the dream. He said, he was deflated and confused simultaneously as he had never told any soul about it, and was sure it was no just dream but a message through his sister. He never went back to the baba and never told our sister about his botched money-ritual plan, unless he's planning on doing so on the morrow. Thus, if you're not blessed with dreams do not doubt that there are so many out there who are. They may not even be Muslims. As a matter of fact, this same sister saw my father died about three months before his actual death. She said she cried for days after the dream and prayed about it but she knew our father was going to die anyway. My dreams mean shiit, and prefer it that way, but I don't go around disputing people's dreams when they say they have got the gift of dream. Mine is, however powerful you are, even if you're shaytan, you can never overpower me in my dreams. I could do all sorts of unimaginable things therein. I'm like something else entirely whenever there is an attack, there's hardly ever one though. We all have our individual differences, mentally, physically, socially, psychologically, and spiritually too. If we accept this fact we'll all be better for it. movado19, I sight you |
movado19:Oh, welcome back oo... |
Empiree:If you read a particular book written by Albert Pike, I don't remember its title now, have read about predictive programming you will understand some of the reasons why some of us always have a good laugh at Nairaland' God-haters a.k.a atheists. Oyinbo have got masters in spirituality, but are in a low key. movado19, shey you travel ni? |
emekaRaj:The whites have got masters in esoterics. Most of their top politicians and top business men belong to one school of mysteries or another. Abi you think say when OTO founder, Aleister Crowley, came up with sex magick (with k) na normal sex? |
Empiree:I did not persecute ikupakuti ooo.. I only wrote that "I disagree" with him. Of course, he might be right about ifa being corrupted over the centuries. Wallahu allam |
Excel70:Ma sha Allah. We are waiting to read them as you share |
YUNGCONCEPT11:As I said before, these people will go anywhere for miracle-hunting. A few days ago, one Alagba ijo came to the babalawo I just wrote about to consult ifa after which he carried sacrifices to the Esu shrine in the man's house. This one no be dem say, na wetin I witnessed. If you have experienced certain things you will understand why some take religious people, especially Muslims and Christians, for mumu. |
Empiree:The alawos are so annoyingly bold these days. No thanks to those lazy and ignorant and shameless alfas. They will even say stupid things like "awon alfa yin gan odowa lon wa" that statement dey vex me. A most weird thing happened one day for this babalawo's place. One man came to this baba for ifa consultation. He covered his his with a scarf and upon entering, the baba closed all doors and windows of his living room, which was very unusual, that was the first and only time I have witnessed such in his house. When this mysterious man left, the baba told his children the man is a popular Muslim and had come to consult ifa on why his business had been failing since he returned from Hajj. Experiences such as this are the reason I disagree with ikupakuti on ifa divination. I know these ufa people well, in fact, I'm typing from their house right now. Haa!! But it's not what you think. Oga Empiree, can you guess what ifa revealed as being the reason for his failing biz? Ifa told him that when he went for Hajj, he had cast out Esu from his life by throwing pebbles at shaytan and that Esu is responsible for bringing money. And ifa recommended that he goes back for Hajj the second time, but this time he would not observe that tradition of casting stone at shaytan. Whether he did or not, I don't know. These are some of the reasons these alawos think they are real deal because some supposedly respected Muslims go to them. |
movado19:Once they lay their hands on "iwe account", you'll hear them say mofe si office (I want to open an office). Jalabi don start be that.. Christians approaching alfas for spiritual matters should not be surprising because they are always on a miracle-hunting mission. That my father's alfa, I wrote about, wrote antu for an ailing Christian guy one time. The guy's people had tried many options before but got better after taking the antu for some time. When this man was up and running, he returned to the alfa to thank and then told him he was actually a pastor and that he didn't know Islam had such power. This guy proposed to the alfa to write antu for him which he would be using heal his the sick among his congregation and the proceeds from the business would be split 50-50 between him and the alfa, who said no to the ridiculous proposition and that he would not aid their false religion. So, as far as Christians are concerned they will queue at your doorstep, movado19, if you're willing to give them miracles. |
movado19:I'm ashamed at us modern Muslims. We are only good at quoting ahadith. Nothing more. Many years ago a man ran to the alfa of my late father's alfa to complain to him about a land dispute. A church had taken or wanted to take his piece of land from him, and the alfa asked to be taken there. On getting there the alfa said some prayers which included the all powerful Surah Ya Sin. After the prayers, the alfa said to the man that the church would develop that land for him and they left. A few months gone, the church came knocking and apologised to the man for trespassing and promised to build a house on the disputed land for him, which they did. I doubt any of these modern alfas could put the Quran to such practical use. In fact, some sufi alfas now go to babalawos to get what they call "iwe account". Some go to babalawos for spiritual help. As in.... |
I always feel bad when all these babalawos think they got it all. They threaten Muslims with their juju and we shamefully cow into our homes. Where are the babas of old, awon alfa zumura (alfa aweri) , aah!!!! There is/was not a babalawo who dare(d) to look them in the faces, they would burn (as in literally) where they stand. This is no myth or legend for it has happened before. Egun was burning in the full glare of the public after an alfa zumura recited something. But all these juju people no dey allow person rest again just because we've lost our ways. We urgently need to retrace our steps OR...... |
