typo: have adopted the semitic languages as time move on, in some cases due to religion. |
morpheus24:This still does not invalidate what I said. Ancient Nubians cluster with Somalian/Ethiopian types and ancient egyptians, Therefore modern day nubians, somalians , eriterians and somalians look like their ancestors. Linguistically the Somalis, oromos of Ethiopia and so on are categorized as Cushitic speakers under The Afroasiatic grouping of languages which includes you if you are nilotic speaking. I doubt you are semitic speaking since most of its speakers trace their origins outside of Africa or even a Berber speaker since being a Nubian you are a little too far off from them. In order words you all share the same ancestry. They are not an extension of you but a sub group of your original ancestors which included mostly ancient upper egyptian populations maybe, i missed understood you, but i agree with you assessment. you are correct in your final analysis. you get no arguement from me on that point of view. you are correct semitic speakers do trace their ancestry outside of africa, however having said that individual that once were nilotes speakers or cushitic speakers have adopted these the semitic language as time move on. similiar to blacks and native americans that live in the americas that speak spanish, english and portuguese. that is not thier hertiage language, but adopted to new language due to their circumstance |
i don't think they look alike, but who is kat williams, anyway. i know that actor siddig was actually on star trek deep space nine. yes, he is part nubian sudanese. |
Morpheus24: You need to rephrase that ancestor part and stop posting pics of ancient egyptians. Your ancestors are actually of the same stock as the the proto egyptian /proto somali- ethiopian stock. In other words, You all came from the same stock of ancestral east African groups not the ancient Egyptians you posted. You group with ancient egyptians but do nt not come from them ancestrally. PS the pics posted by Keelshim are actually accurate to a point. The somali pics posted by him are the faces of the typical somalian though the other ones are picture spams of Somalis with less typical somali features not necessarily as a result of ad mixtures from the Arabian peninsula Know your own history Morpheus24, i don't know where to begin. firstly, i am not somali, but i am a nubian from northern sudan, but raised in egypt. secordly, somalis like their cousins the oromos in ethiopia, the beja in eritea, eastern sudan, and part of upper egypt are all catogorize as cushites, since the kingdom of Cush was situated in northern sudan, so by extension the somalis are part of us, so they are racially speaking cushites. ! Thirdly, northern sudan and part of upper egypt was called the land of cush or sometimes ta seti. which means the land of the bow. fourthy, northern sudan at the secord cataracts was part of pharanic egypt. actually, the pharaoh amenhopet and queen tiye his nubian wife erected temples in northern sudan honoring them as gods, and these monuments are standing there till this day, but in ruin form. here is the temple of soleb in northern sudan. http://lh3.ggpht.com/_cVQn7t5rUAY/SfL8zcITL5I/AAAAAAAADgc/_AE2pfC34xI/IGB_9804.JPG |
who do the somalis, northern sudan, upper egyptians, ethiopian, eriteans, djibouti look like? we look like our ancestors behold http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/09/Tomb_of_Nakht.jpg http://www.corbisimages.com/images/CJ003133.jpg?size=67&uid=B9502678-84F6-4154-9F41-D2384064E0BB http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/5d/Tomb_of_Nakht_(1).jpg northern sudanese bishop back in the 9th or tenth century when nubia was christian http://web.history.ufl.edu/new/images/euh/nubian.jpg |
keelshim, i hope you realize that there are many blacks that live in the arabian penisular. in fact many live in the tihama region between yemen and saudi arabia. keelshim, have you heard of prince bandar of saudi arabia, he is mixed. however, he hardly look like a horner. he looks like ex president ghana president rawlings, or some nigerian igbo. http://www.spongobongo.com/em/nm/nm9826.jpg he hardly look like a horner. |
Keelshim, i provided you with a video link from you tube to various countries in the area, let discuss them and prove me wrong. if you can, which i seriously doubt. |
keelshim, let get this clear somalis are not bantu, they are cushites. the same as the ethiopian oromo tribe, and the beja the live in eritea, sudan and parts of upper egypt, they are cushitics. |
it is not caanan but cush. northern sudan was known as the kingdom of kush. |
did you look at the videos, i gave you. |
keelshim: i noticed that we have our racial cousins that live in the northern part of your country. i guess you are going to accuse some of them people as being mix.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8z41Ft6a3s&feature=email i know the main female singer is tuareg, and the main male singer is most likely fulani(0:26-0:32) . however, he looks like many upper egyptians, northern sudanese, and ethiopian collectively, that is interesting, our racial cousins in west africa. another videos from your country https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUsKDG7YS4k&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkelOv6e3oI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzVvTlZKUn4&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGBOX8BN8ew |
technically, speaking a arab is not a racial category, similar to so called hispanic, which is not a race but so called common culture. for instance within the so called hispanic which is in fact a amerian concoction, you have people of native american, african and europeans, they are not the same race but they fall in the catagory as hispanic, the same actually applies to arabs. arabs come from multiple backgrounds. |
interesting, i agree that arab is a misnormer, however the same could apply to people the look african that reside in the arabian peninsular. many of the inhabitants are indeed what you in that west might call black, but been living their for centuries but are indeed arabs, and i am not talking about the ones that came their as slaves. i am talking about the black people that resided their for centuries. |
Almost all the "Ethiopians" and "Somalians" that were posted are mixed or half caste or have heavy Arab admixture. But notice that despite the admixture they still have the "Negroid" hair Keelshim, it is quite obvious that you have never been to the horn of africa or visit the region of upper egypt and northern sudan. those girls are not mix or so called half cast. what i notice about mix race people when i visited america, they rarely(most cases) look like a horn of african. look at your mix race celebrity ramsey noah, he hardly look like a horner. what i am trying to say, the people that live in the horn look no different than their racial cousins in northern sudan and parts of upper egypt. here is a few videos from you tube of their racial cousin in northern sudan and upper egypt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoJ7li-7Zwo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxyaHNL6-Xk&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjfjTiGkPzI&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wH0LIb_S9fI&feature=related now let me take you our cousins in parts of upper egypt. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=704bgzMUu7I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1V1xSZvS4IA&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJYYxAygmEw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98jQFGx72WE&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yTuobaa5r4&feature=related |
this is a interest topic. as a sudanese, whether the igbos descend from the sudan, i am not sure. however, i can say, sudan is extremely diverse. we have all the faces of sub saharan africa, and the languages to. here is some you tube videos, so you can see how diverse sudan truly is! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kT4LJmZyvQo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6fiqtp1te4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoJ7li-7Zwo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gebUGY6R1nE&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4MJn6vG_OA&feature=related south sudan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5F3jrHjpjAY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mFw5nKl7tlY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tV9aZemyg6g&feature=related arabic sudanese https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHJ4GqB3NhM&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJd7eFqQBMY&feature=related just a bunch of singers from sudan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rofBA4flyfQ&feature=related this is sudan in a nut shell. it is far more diverse than people think, hopefully with the advent of the internet, we can educate ourselves. i would like to add, one of our historical sites in northern sudan http://www.flickr.com/photos/vithassan/133611081/ http://lh3.ggpht.com/_cVQn7t5rUAY/SfL8zcITL5I/AAAAAAAADgc/_AE2pfC34xI/IGB_9804.JPG |
to be honest with you tpia, i don't think most birracial look like horners. what i notice bi racials have a multiple of different facial features, when mixing with africans outside the horn. in other words, there is no standard look or appearance for bi racials, however for many horners it is the opposite. |
indeed, art from the nok culture does look similar to ba statues, and the ancient meroites had many statues such as these. |
see wetin shakerz dey chase in the name of not liking black: tpia, it is funny someone posted a picture of a dead women that was murdered by her husband. i remembered reading about her case on-line some time ago, i don't remember the details but i recognize the face of the ethiopian women that was murdered by her husband in europe. |
[b]Many southern Nigerians dont know what a Sudanese looks like- they think all of them have the Alek Wek type of appearance. tpia, lets not tell them and keep that a secret. lol ![]() |
one pyramid in northern sudan http://www.flickr.com/photos/waltercallens/3494533466/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/vithassan/133611081/ soleb temple complex in northern sudan http://lh3.ggpht.com/_cVQn7t5rUAY/SfL8zcITL5I/AAAAAAAADgc/_AE2pfC34xI/IGB_9804.JPG temple of mut at jebal barkal mountain http://wysinger.homestead.com/jebel_barkal20.jpg |
this is a very interesting argument. since being from the nile valley, and starting to study the history of the region. i am starting to realize one cannot mention egypt without mentioning the sudan, because they are practically part of the same whole in reference to history. so, i will relegate myself in saying nile valley civilization. because during ancient times egypt and sudan were one, and you had many cushitic pharaohs that ruled both countries at one time. here is a pyramid in northern sudan and temple of soleb: the temple was built during the time of amenhopet and his nubian or cushite wife queen tiye. http://wwwdelivery.superstock.com/Image/1443/Thumb/1443-871.jpg http://wwwdelivery.superstock.com/Image/1443/Thumb/1443-871.jpg here is the temple of "mut" on northern sudan every king in the new kingdom and later period had to be crowned here to legitmatize their rule, because the mountain have a pinnacle of a uraeus which signify kingdom. due to the fact that the cobra was kingship, so every pharaoh had to be crowned here to legimatize his rule, by the temple priets of amun, however that also applies to the temples in luxor as well. http://wysinger.homestead.com/jebel_barkal20.jpg i feel that the dominant class during the pharaonic era look like these people, this population you can find in northern sudan and upper egypt, they look like their ancestors. also take note even though many of these people might claim to be arab, they still practice many of the old pharonic and meroitic customs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoJ7li-7Zwo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3C3ezzYPNeQ&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjfjTiGkPzI&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEaBaR2JCSs&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbSSL4zf3hU&feature=related note the guy in 3:51-3:52 looks like a dead ringer of king ramises |

Re: Somali Girls Are The Most Beautiful In Africa! « #584 on: Yesterday at 05:13:50 PM » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amaka i do not hate my self and it may be selective breeding but its for the sake of my kids. Wouldnt you do anything for you kids? i would. And also you say i would want to marry a white man or a non-black? Somalians are black fool!. They from africa, they have black skin and african features. So i do want to marry a black man. I don;t hate myself or the people from my country infact i see myself as a patriot and have Love 4 all ma peeps but- tell me one thing why would i want to marry a nigerian man who doesnt respect us or treat us nicely, most east african guys i have been out with have alot of respect for women, this could be because they have a strong bond with their in their culture mother, but i don;t know so on one hand i have these great looking guys who treat me good and on the other i have these rude obnoxious guys who cant see what they have and look a bit like this http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs201.snc1/6831_103045239707594_100000063564438_91197_2378166_n.jpg why could i choose that when i can have something like this http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs191.snc1/6413_99279047671_691152671_2215745_5478250_n.jpg or this http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs099.snc1/4741_1171272839983_1172862769_629782_4841898_n.jpg or this http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-sf2p/v233/145/31/641515525/n641515525_2783865 yeah they are average northern sudanese, indeed. interesting |
^^ and whats the big deal about these photos you posted? tpia, i am trying to figure it out, your people have alot of love for people that look similar to upper egyptians, northern sudanese, ethiopians, somalis, and eriteans, i guess that cover it. i am wondering why? we hardly think of marrying people outside our group, but i know a few of horners looking northern sudanese that has in egypt, where i live currently. me and a few people are learning a great deal from this trend. this has been a eye opener, indeed. |

the statue of the red granite lion is housed in the british national museum |
this statue was found at the temple of jebel barkal in sudan but it was originally house further north at the temple of soleb in sudan, this statue was made during the time of amenhotep or new kingdom. He was the husband of the nubian queen tiye, and they had a son by the name of akhenaten, and akhenaten is alleged to be the father of a insignicant pharaoh by the name king tut. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3257/2907344831_00976bd988.jpg |
also, you have other statues of amenirdis in museums in sudan, england and america. this one is housed in the museum in luxor egypt http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.molon.de/galleries/Egypt/NatMuseum/Statues/images01/19%2520Statue%2520of%2520Amenirdis.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.molon.de/galleries/Egypt/NatMuseum/Statues/img.php%3Fpic%3D19&usg=__nbBTZq7o0Rgn0DZkaizis_6WOBg=&h=632&w=474&sz=81&hl=en&start=7&um=1&tbnid=LXIRmQoo7kPZgM:&tbnh=137&tbnw=103&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dstatue%2Bof%2Bamenirdis%2BI%26hl%3Den%26um%3D1 |
this larger than life statue is of amenirdis. she was the daughter of king kashta one of the kushite or nubian pharaohs in the 25th dynasty that ruled both sudan and egypt. she was considered the divine wife of Amon a title which gave her as much power as the king himself, however only in luxor. the statue is made of alabaster on black granite. http://www.molon.de/galleries/Egypt/NatMuseum/Statues/images01/19%20Statue%20of%20Amenirdis.jpg |
Mapungubwe - South Africa's lost City of Gold "One thousand years ago, Mapungubwe in Limpopo province was the centre of the largest kingdom in the subcontinent, where a highly sophisticated people traded gold and ivory with China, India and Egypt. The site was discovered in 1932 and has been excavated by the University of Pretoria ever since. The findings were kept quiet at the time since they provided contrary evidence to the racist ideology of black inferiority underpinning apartheid. " the golden rhino and sceptre were some of the many golden, clay and bronze artefacts discovered at Mapungubwe -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Golden rhino.jpg (10.9 KB, 235x175 ) golden sceptre.jpg (2.71 KB, 109x73 ) i like the detai, and the realism, do you know the date or time period of this statuary. also, i was wondering does this represent some ancient god the people use to worship. i am just curious. |
