Business › Re: The New Method Of Depositing Cash In Banks by abatically(m): 9:14am On Aug 06, 2015 |
Dindondin: There new method of depositing cash in Banks is either the use of ATM. I witnessed this last week Friday at a GTBank and the practice has not stopped. But I don't think other banks have started this.
How it works: * You can use it to deposit N10,000 and below. The denominations must be in N500 or N1,000.
* To deposit, you have to type the banks general pin of 0000 and press the action. eg: deposit. Then you ll type the account number to deposit the cash, the phone number of the depositor. The machine will open its deposit hole and instruct you to place in your cash and you ll type the amount you are sending.
* It will notify you by showing you the full names and account number of the recipient which you ll v to confirm with the yes or no buttons.
* After this, the machine will credit the account of the receiver.
Note: You must arrange your cash in a straight way so that it can enter the machine. Failure to do this will result in cash ejection. During this process, your cash may get rough or torn. Last Bullet The process is fast but can be risky because aside the security camera that records when someone was depositing, no one else is there to witness the day the machine malfunctions. Also, it may be risky to use it at odd hours like early in the morning, late at night or during quiet times like environmental sanitation day or curfew times.
Cc: Lalasticlala u be learner? GTbank Opebi has been doing this for more than 2 years now and I use it fequently especially on weekends. And I don't see any risk involved, it has been available in other countries for many many years. and who told u it can only be used to deposit N10,000 and below? I have used it to deposit 100k, just make sure the notes are neat and well arranged. |

U can imagine loud noises from 7 different churches located close to each other. I hope lasepa could reach here to put things in order. |

Upgraded yesterday from windows 8.1. The difference is so clear, everything went smoothly without issues. Took about 6 hours to complete. I didnt wait for Microsoft to push it to my laptop. Just make sure ur laptop is up to date, then go to Microsoft website to download the software.
What I discovered though, after downloading the windows 10 media creation tool which is about 18mb, I tried installing and it keeps telling me something went wrong. Then I fired up my IP, once my IP is changed to USA, the download started and it took like 6 hours to complete. I must say the interface looks a lot polished, oh and I love the new browser. Will upload pictures later. |

I don't think so. On the contrary it is a good thing to keep the design language of a particular model, this will keep fans of the older models happy. The same way 1976 g wagon has the same shape as a 2015 model. Same way a 1970 range rover still looks like the latest model. You don't need to look at the badge to tell which car it is. |

Car Talk › Re: Confusion Of 2003 Lexus Rx300 And 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe by abatically(m): 11:01pm On Jul 19, 2015 |
auhanson: Sometimes we may have so much in our minds that in a bid to summarise stuffs up we end up not passing the message across. Please note my terms, i said ENTHUSIAST but not BUYERS
However, the Rx 300 is actually a rebadged Toyota Harrier, a mid-size crossover SUV sold since December 1997 by Toyota in Japan. In March 1998, the the Harrier in the export markets was rebadged as the Lexus RX. During this season, Toyota did not retail the Lexus brand to its Japanese customers.
So the RX 300 still remains the same old bland Toyota even with the giant trapezoidal grille at the front that could call it a Lexus.
Enthusiast buy cars for certain features, that is lacking in the RX but buyers just buy so far it is just a kind of reliable and convey family around with some luggages. They dont care about such features that is lacking in the RX just like any other toyota brand, such as: Not being sporty Not too good suv suspension Zero steering feel zero corner-carving potential Entirely unengaging.
It’s the kind of car Lexus enthusiast(including other enthusiast) hate, but buyers love. However, there are so many buyers than enthusiast, but that doesn't change the fact, though it makes sense to buyers after a few days of living with it.
Dont get me wrong, what strikes buyers is just how well put-together everything is: The controls, the dashboard, the door handles, everything feels tight and solid, the RX becomes invisible, melting into daily life easily. Yes, the made in Canada Lexus RX is good, i dont condemn it but the hype in price for what it is not as expected of Lexus.
Now, in a bid to make enthusiast love it and live up to its Lexus demands which we know, they started introducing some sporty looks, as in the RX 350 F-Sport model. It tries to add sportiness to it, bringing heaviness to the steering and stiffness to the suspension, only making the RX slightly uncomfortable to no real benefit, which only ended up a misguided attempt to fit into the league without compromising reliability and cost which you can hardly retain once the introduction of such super features(Camry tried it in 2007 in the newly rebuild turnaround camry, but suffered serious setback in terms of reliability(was very unreliable), not until in the later models could they fix some few things up).
Santafe is not any better cross over suv than the RX, but the 2007 Santafe is than the RX300 Bro, the Lexus R300 is not just a rebadged Toyota harrier, rather it is a more loaded and improved version with with awd option. Better leather seats and interior that makes it a luxury car. Lexus RX is not a high end luxury car but a mid size luxury cuv and in its class it rules. I'm not comparing it with the range rovers or g wagons, but when u look at its price and what u get plus high reliability ratings then u know Toyota got this one right. Lexus RX has been one of the best selling mid sized luxury cars in the USA for many years for some reasons. And I didn't say the Rx 300 is better than a 2007 Santa fe, but when u put it with RX 330 (not even 350) then the Lexus is a better option. I agree with most of ur posts, but the Lexus RX is not over hyped. Sure there are better options (there are always other options for every car), it all comes down to what u like or want from a car, it also depends on the size of ur pocket. |

femmy2010: N1.7m might not always be a max tag for a very clean{Clean title )RX300. A flawless 2003 RX300 wont sell for less than $4,000 in the USA , trucking and shipping could take up to $1,200 or more, wire transfer charge would comfortably takes its own share of $100 while clearing in Lagos would take N420,000. Giving the prevailing exchange rate of N242 to a Dollars then we already have a little over N1.7m to land it in Lagos .Dealer return on investing his N1.7m is not included already . NOTE - Most of the N1.7m and lower buyers see are salvage vehicles (we) dealers repair thus able to sell lower but note that not all buyers want to drive repair/refurbished salvage cars.
@OP .go for the Lexus at a fairly priced down price . Best of Luck. Word |

auhanson: People just get rip off for this Toyota things, meanwhile this particular hyped priced Lexus RX series are debaged Toyota(s) the most hated brand among Lexus enthusiast(except Nigerians), because it is believe to have been stripped down, evidenced in the stripped down front wheel driven mechanism etc. Unlike other Lexus brand, a lot seems to have been compromised here. In other words, it is more or less a glorified Camry that is just raised by a few inches from the ground, cheapened down for buyers, but unfortunately hyped up for Nigerians who just follow trend blindly.
The 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe is by far a better cross over to the RX300, though almost of same class to the RX330 and RX350. Don't confused the fully loaded luxury brand Lexus GL to the stripped down Lexus RX series... Uuuum, in this situation I will choose the Hyundai. But please, the Lexus RX is not over hyped. It is a very solid luxury cuv in its class and it is respected worldwide, not just in Nigeria like u say. It is not a glorified camry either. Lexus RX has been on top of the highest selling luxury cars in the USA for many years, if it is that bad like u put it, then it wouldn't be on top. Just do a little research of best selling luxury cuv in north america and see for urself or are the people buying them in those countries niegeians? Consumer reports don't lie. Also the Santa fe is 2007, RX 300 was discontinued in 2003 while RX 330 was discontinued in 2006. Compare the Santa fe with RX 350 and then the RX will kick its a$s and chew the bones. To you peope everything is glorified camry. Avalon glorified camry, highlander glorified camry, Prado glorified camry, Lexus GX glorified Camry, landcruiser glorified camry, Lexus LX glorified camry, even Lexus LS is glorified camry. |

Op, just buy the Santa fe. The rx300 is too expensive for that price. If the Santa fe is GLS awd even better. No doubt I love Lexus, but the rx300 looks old. The head lamps and indicator lights looks like something from the 80's. Would have been the other way round if it was rx330 even if it is the 2004 model. |

This girl was hit by a bank's vehicle, there has to be evidence and the pictures are part of the evidence. Bank officials need to come out to see what their vehicle did, people need to take pictures. This will be used to prosecute the bank when need be. I mean the bank should take responsibility of this, but without enough evidence they might try to deny it. Believe me if this happened in the USA, they won't take her to the hospital just like that. People will take pictures, nobody will touch her but they will call ambulance to come take her to the hospital. |

CoolBigSam: Yea true. But the standard of living is relatively high in those countries and in a way makes up for that. Niegeians like better things but don't want to pay the price. Better things don't come cheap. Yes standard of living here is low, that is why our educational system has to be substandard too to balance things. If govt build world class universities, how many people can afford to pay 4 million Naira for a semester? Then it will be like education is only for the rich huh. Last time fuel subsidy was removed we all went on strike, now we are paying the price as it only favors some people while the masses are suffering. Now we still buy that fuel for N100 and above and not without queues. |

kenx1: Advise is needed There's is not much advice, both cars though made by Toyota are of different class. If u like SUV, buy the Lexus, if u like sedans by the camry. They are both reliable. U might encounter less problem with the camry (if it is a clean title ) as it is newer 2011 model. The last rx330 was produced I think 2006. So it is normal u get lower mileage camry than the Rx. Mind u the higher the mileage, the more likely some parts will wear and tear. About maintenance they are not even close. Rx is a luxury car, luxury means more money, but also more to enjoy. Lots of gadgets, sweet genuine leather interior, better suspension etc. But it costs a lot to maintain the Rx than the camry. If u are the type that don't like spending money on cars, just jejely buy the 2011 camry as it is still newer. But if u like luxury and comfort, also high ground clearance, get the Rx. |

You will have a better driving experience with the Jetta, its not prone to wear and tear like the camry go for a Jetta with manual transmission, there you can be sure of 5yrs uninterrupted enjoyment. If camry is so prone to wear and tear then why does it sell more than jetta by a very BIG margin. It doesn't make sense. Why is camry used for taxi since it is prone to wear and tear, I'm sure no businessman would want to lose in his business.
