Bros, that 2 cars are almost the same size doesn't mean they are in the same class. And that the c class is the entry level Mercedes doesn't put it in the same class as Toyota corolla. If u are thinking like that then u should also be able to compare a Ferrari California with the c class since Ferrari California is the entry level Ferrari. A Mercedes Benz c class is a LUXURY car which a corolla is not. They are both compact but that luxury makes the difference.

A c class will comfortable buy 2 corollas ,so how's that a fair comparison, at least if the prices are close it would have been fair. U can't expect a corolla that sells for $17,000 to have the functions of a c class that sells for above $30,000. I can buy a 500w Samsung hone theater for N100,00 and get good sound from it. But then the same 500w system would be N800,000 if if was made by Bose, and price can go as high as 1.5 million if it is bang and olufsen. It is called class, luxury.

Who ever compares a Camry with a Jetta based on body size, engine power, EPA classification etc don't know cars. A Camry however boring is a higher more up-scale car than a Jetta. A Camry competes with a Passat.

Depends on a lot of variables.
If U want a cheap maintenance car that will just take U thro and fro wt readily available parts,easy to maintain,superb fuel economy (though U didn't state d engine size of d camry) can be worked on by nearly any mecho,Kazeems included,then go for d camry.
But if U need a strong,rugged car that U will form a bond wt like U both are best friends,then go for d volkswagen.Added advantage is that wt good driving habits,U can drive it for yrs wtout any major repairs,just oil change,filters,etc.

It is ugly, small and on top of that still slower than the camry. If this were Passat vs camry then I would agree with u, but jetta vs camry? Cmon bros. Both cars have same hp for the petrol models but the camry still got better mpg even though it is the larger and more luxurious car.

It depends on the configuration, engine size, weight of the car and technology used by manufacturers. An old school v6 will consume more fuel than a modern v6 of same engine size. A car with 3.0L v6 will consume more fuel than same car with 2.4L i4 while doing city driving, it gets worse in stop and go traffic. But on highway the difference is negligible and u will surely enjoy driving a v6 on the highway.

But when u take a truck like pathfinder with a 4.0L v6 against a car with 2.2L i4, then the difference becomes really big.

I want to see the steering before I comment. If there's no steering rack then its a waste of time. The normal keke is safer.

U can't watch DVD on the satnav screen while driving. That is why the gear has to be on P and the handbrake engaged.

If police dont work, u complain. If police do their job, u still complain. U are looking for pictures abi, will u be able to recognize them when the pictures are shown, or how would u know if pictures shown are fake or not?

The article said they will be paraded on Monday (today), so why not wait until then to see pictures, or do u think pictures will be released before they are paraded? The police are not magicians, if it is so easy then why dont u join the force. I know nigerian police are not competent enough, but I tell u this, let the police go on strike for just 1 day, then u will realize how important they are. They are human beings like u and me.

Even in advanced countries, there are criminals and not all crimes are unraveled. It is easier in the US since there is biometric data of almost all citizens and funtional security camera. It is a lot harder in Nigeria where there is no biometric data or security cameras, so what magic do u expect from the police to trace criminals? Even the BVN that was made mandatory more than half Nigerians still haven't gone to do theirs. Some people even said it is mark of 666 Antichrist.

The first thing to do in a crime scene is look for fingerprints, but even if u take prints in Nigeria, without biometrics it is very useless. Cut the long story short, it is harder to catch criminals in this country, so cut the police some slack.

Siena, I'm not even a Toyota fanboy. I appreciate good cars, but u need to see the way people troll here whenever a Toyota gets involved in an accident. I read sometime when a Toyota car got involved in a head on collision and the front bumper got damaged, some trolls were condemning the build quality as if the bumper wasn't doing its job. Or as if there is a car out there that is immune to accident.

I know particular fellow here that will NEVER comment on a Japanese forum no matter how small. But whenever there's a recall on Toyota vehicles he will be the first to create the thread.

Very funny op, so how did ur mechanic try to reset the oil life? The person above me is even funnier saying it has to be reset with a system, abeg which kind system be that? Anyway sha some professional scanners can be used to reset oil life, but do we really need that?

Follow these simple steps.

1. Turn on ur ignition to on position (do not start the car)
2. Press the reset /select knob (it is on ur instrument cluster) until it shows oil life
3. Hold the reset /select knob for about 15 seconds until the oil life and service indicator starts blinking, then release.
4. Hold the reset/select knob again for like 10 seconds until the maintenance required light (spanner) disappears.
5. Voila, oil life is back to 100%. Do this whenever u change ur oil.

Why would u want a cloth seat in a luxury/executive car? The leather seats of Volvo s60 and s80 is one of the things that make their interior amazing. If u are buying a range rover will u also be looking for fabric seats? Who doesn't like the smell of leather?

The man deserves to be beaten joor . When u are stopped at a police check point u are supposed to stop no matter ur social status. It is so even in advanced countries. People are here blaming the police, but what could have happened if the man hit one of the policemen with the car and injured or even killed him? That policeman is someone's husband, uncle, son, cousin, father.

If the driver stole the car and got to that checkpoint and the police didn't stop him, I'm sure most people scolding the police here will be the same one saying the police can't do their job. It is very very hard to satisfy people.

True the Hyundai sonata looks really good, but Honda has maintained its legacy on the accord and they improved in the drivetrain department introducing a new and better engine. It is good to have fierce competition in the mid class family sedan , win win for us consumers. Gone are the days when Camry, accord and maybe altima rule in this segment.

The new KIA optima looks equally good (if not better than the sonata and accord, definitely better than the Camry). Looking at the interior u might think it is a BMW.

If u ask me the new accord, sonata, optima and altima are way ahead of the Camry. Toyota needs to improve or they might just become the new blackberry.

Lol. The sonata, even though has greatly improved and they did a good job on this, but Hyundai are still trying to do too much hence the car kinda looks more like a toy. The accord on the other hand looks bold and matured. Someone said the accord looks bland, lol. Well he confessed he hasn't driven either so I won't blame him. He should drive it first and come back and tell us if it looks bland. The new Honda eathdream engine is a BOMB especially with VCM.

To me the accord looks better on the outside. In the inside the sonata looks great with almost every tech included, but u can also find all those things in the accord touring. Oh and the accord coupe is a BEAST.

Honda discussion continue is way way ahead of the Camry. Dem no be mate at all. Yes maintenance is a little higher than the Camry but what u lose there u gain in performance and comfort. Better soup na money kill am, the Camry is reliable, Honda discussion continue is equally reliable.
