Yes, Little Birds are/can be armed with anti-tank missiles including the famous Hellfire missile as well as stingers and any other weapon you need to fight marauding terrorists, all of them laser guided, so you hardly miss. Your alphas could also do the job quite effectively with minimal risk but ofcourse being jets they cant engage for extensive periods like the Ah-6. Little birds are excellent due to their high maneuverability, flexibility and versatility. Just one them can engage a bunch of separate targets running helter skelter below, swiftly switching between targets. Thats why American Special Ops use them. Kenya also employs the Russian doctrine in Somalia. Attack choppers are always lurking to provide air cover in case of an ambush. The issue here is at what cost are you providing aerial support against mere terrorists? In Nigeria you go for expensive, unsuitable, unsustainable, and evidently ineffective heavy duty arsenal to deal with ants, and neglect the boots on the ground who lack even basic military fatigues. In Kenya its the opposite. Our infantry are well equipped and well fatigued, you'll never encounter a complaint about neglect from them, and then we go for the least expensive, most effective proven hardware. Consequently, our soldiers are always in high morale. The other day a wounded Kenyan soldier recovering at a hospital pleaded with the president to redeploy him to Somalia immediately he recovers. That sort of morale! Your top army general complained how you've spent as much as $ 9 billion to fight BH with very little to show. Obviously your military top brass led by none other than his highness General Bubu are a bunch of clueless senile mofos. With that kind of money and proper strategy you should have eliminated BH, ISWAP, Delta avengers and any other terror group by now. Kenya has spent a mere $ 900m in Somalia since 2011, tentatively. Take note we get FULLY reimbursed all the costs by the AU, UN and EU so its basically a free training course for our soldiers, albeit very practical and the threat very real. Even if we decided to spend extravagantly we would still be reimbursed FULL AMOUNT but we choose not to with the aforementioned understanding in mind. Dont waste precious resources fighting jellyfish-brained terrorists. The best thing is to invest in well-trained, well-equipped, motivated boots on the ground to deny them territory.




Nope! Kdf has them but they dont perform the role of transporting troops. Besides attack, the only thing they do is evacuation. What for? Training?? At least we are not purchasing any more F-5s! And you mocked our crop dusters, which actually fit very well into our doctrine of not wasting resources in fighting technically inexhaustible enemies.



No I never said uganda leaves planes to rot. They are actually quite war-conscious and never let their arms rot. They'd rather have Air Uganda collapse and rot but not their prized UPDF. I want to create a specific type of hunting dog that can also be used as a family dog and guard dog.They might not be as big as our beloved exotic breeds but they will be special and more respected.

Another thing is the overhyping.Malinois aren't the strongest or smartest dogs out there.You don't need to be an expert to know that.Yet some people were acting like they were extremely strong and powerful dogs that can take down anything that moves.We both know this isn't true.They are determined yes but im not sure they pack the punch to do such.Even gsd are stronger.
That's what stretched this argument this far.

Just like UG and their chest-thumping airforce. Uganda actually has six Su-30s but still ranks lower than Kenya both militarily and in development. Whats up with the chest thumping and misplaced priorities? The only thing you do with the Su-30s is costly servicing and most of them will rot due to disservice. Unless you use them to attack Ghana or bomb your civilians flying them on a regular basis to keep them in shape is actually too expensive.

Its understandable for countries like India and Pakistan and China et al to have them but for you its completely unnecessary. Even SA doesnt operate Sukhois, tho admittedly they have AS-39C Gripens to match (most of which btw they have had to ground due to high maintenance costs arising from regular flights to keep them in shape). A Su-30 is a total overkill in any part of Africa and a waste of resources. Typical African wastefulness! Just look at the African countries using them, they are either in PTSD + recovering from conflict or are borderline dictatorships. They use them to strike fear among their own citizens. Your Su-30s will never see action. Purchase relevant hardware. The biggest threat for Nigeria right now and in the very long foreseeable future is internal NOT external. Your entire airforce is irrelevant



No doubt Su-30 is superior, big fan too but this is unnecessary for Nigeria with your poor maintenance culture. That one is destined to rot in Nigerian army bases.



One of these crashed in Nigeria just a few weeks ago in pursuit of bh. As I told you, Mi-35 is not meant for terrorists. Its niche is similar to Apache, i.e regional/geopolitical & conventional warfare. Ugandans also purchased Mi-24s (Mi-35 variants) ostensibly to make a geopolitical point (to us especially), then ironically 3 of them embarrassingly crashed in Kenya (all of them into Mt Kenya!!) killing scores of their soldiers. They accused us of using electromagnetic weapons

You need extensive experience to safely operate them even in peacetime. Expect regular embarrassments in future for employing wrong hardware on the right targets. Instead of a Mi-35 that costs upwards of $36 million (plus high maintenance and training of crew) and is not ideal for your most pressing needs (BH) just purchase 18 AH-6 Little Birds for $2 million each and you have the entire north BH territory adequately covered. A single Mi-35 crash like the one you had this year amounts to a loss of over $36M!! and its more likely than little bird due to its filling the wrong niche. Mi-variants are actually very vulnerable to crashes, we also had a Mi-171 crash in 2011. None of our little birds have crashed in Somalia or even in Kenya despite operating continuously in the theatre since 2011, and its very effective for special operations, attack, reconnaissance missions conducted at night, high speeds, low altitudes, and on short notice.

Influence is one of the reasons for owning lots of jets.Take USA for example.Do they need all those planes?But yet they make new ones each year.And bh has a lot of armoured vehicles which I'm not sure a little bird or gazelle can destroy.Hence the mi35.They even own tanks.
Nigeria uses Russian doctrine which requires a chopper to actively support troops during combat.They also need to be able to transport troops.That's why Russian choppers always have extra capacity for troops and/or ammo and fuel.They can even reload during missions!
Even their mi28 which is basically a Russian apache has this capability.
Americans on the other hand prefer having a chopper for every role i.e. apache combat,Chinook transport etc.That's not Nigeria's style.
And Americans used apache and even a10 thunderbolts against terrorists for their reasons.That's the same with Nigeria.
Even the cobras you want to buy were used in the jungles of Vietnam.So nothing's wrong with using hinds against bh.They are mostly for armoured columns.For foot soldiers we have our alpha jets.These planes are fond of decimating bh terrorists.Sometimes up to fifty to a single plane at one go.And Nigeria isn't Uganda that leaves planes to rot.That's one of our strengths.Take our f7s.They have probably never seen combat all their lives yet they are still functional or at least almost fly able.I doubt our Flankers will be any different.

It's multi role so not as badass looking as apache or mi35
For reconnaissance and can be used in combat too.
It can also carry troops.
