A climate activist claims that deisel factory is polluting the air causing climate chnage which can result in people dying.

If you're the owner of that factory, will you arrest the activist even tho there are empirical evidence that confirms air pollution is having a disastrous effect on climate.

In summary, the charges does not correlate with the offense, it is hogwash and nonsenstical and can only succeed in a dystopian country like Nigeria!

If police invites you but you refuse to show then they have every right to arrest you as that is obstruction of justice. Defamation can be criminal if it results in imminent threat or loss to the accuser, it is even more imparative if the defamation was written and distributed online as that can be tied to the new cyber law.

There are over 10 different ways that the police could invoke probable cause in situations like this so it is best to comply. Even if you want to act stubborn, get a good lawyer and let him or her navigate the issue.
