Don't think there is a maximum so to say, but I cannot say one thing now and my oga at the top will say another Try and look through the 2016 end of year report on CIC website, your question should be answered. As contained there, "...In 2015 and 2016, 43,202 applicants and their family members were admitted into Canada as permanent residents..." That is not to say it is the maximum, but I didn't read the entire report because I know me I am shaa going to Canada. funshobabs: Good morning to everyone,
please does anybody know the maximum number of PR issued every year to immigrants? Thank you. |

1. Most banks don't give the bank certificate in IRCC format. So people use 6months statements to augment and show 6months bank balance and other details not present in the letter. 2. Unexplained lumpsum within your account balance will be sending the wrong signal like you simply borrowed the funds to meet IRCC proof of funds requirement. Unless your account regularly receive such sum or your bank balance was never lower than good % of the required fund, then you might not need to explain. teewhy31: Hi everyone, follower(like they say), I have a few questions. 1. I know CIC does not require a 6 month bank statement but why does everyone add it? Is it to be proactive? 2. Concerning gift of deed and LOE explaining bulk sum,has anyone experienced or heard of a rejection due to unexplained lump sum hence the need for all the explanations? POF is my personal headache as you can see my questions are related to just that. I would like to know if presenting all these documents is being proactive or there have actually been experiences that advised this as the best course of action. Thanks. |

This is the thread for you https://www.nairaland.com/2624318/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilledXopoh: Hi everyone, I have read through every comment in this thread and i have not gotten any reply that answers my burning question about migrating to Canada.
I am 23 years old, a university graduate(2013) with 2+ years work history and i VERY VERY Much want to leave Nigeria for Canada. I have been trying to process a visa since i was done with my NYSC but because of challenges like my age(then 20) or finance issue, i could not successfully process a visa. I lost my father recently(10 months ago) n was willed a reasonable amount of money(assets which i am about to sell) that kills my finance challenge and i want to use it to process my leave for Canada BUT my age is a barrier that is holding me back(because i was told by many travel agent). Now I want to take a bold step of processing a visa on my own but i still cant do it because i feel i lack enough information.
PLEASE everyone/anyone guide me through, Should i still wait till i am old enough(27-30 + i'm one of those kids that looks older than their age) according to the agents and keep struggling in this country? OR i just man-up n run the visa independently?
For questions, i hope the information i'm giving below will give clarity and tailored response: 1. I want go in to work first because i don't have enough money to process a tertiary institution but enough to fund accommodation for 6 months, feeding and clothing for a year. 2. I have worked as a finance officer for an HR firm, a CSR for a bank, currently a Business support analyst for consulting firm and a business designer (freelance) 3. I am working on getting a invitation from friends, friends of my friends and even enemy in Canada. I don't have any family that want to help(if you know what i mean).
Please i really need guidance and helpful suggestions.. i am tired of waiting. Thanks, gjcastleremix2000@gmail.com |

Somebody will just be reading orisirisi on this thread. This waiting game is strong...diaris God o! Bambalee: CIC works in mysterious ways, the fact that one is in IP2 does not guarantee that the golden mail will come within 2 weeks. One just needs to be hopeful and positive. I have friends that have been in IP2 for the past 3 weeks and no PPR yet.
The bottom line is that it will come at the appointed time, so that high bp can be avoided. |

I don't understand what you mean by submitting POF as part of ITA documentation, submit to who and where? Anyways, update your POF to meet up with the minimum required amount for your family size, and get another bank statement to that effect. Submitting 3months old statement is not advisable. Moroever, you have spent the money  Also, you can't submit police report that is expired. Medicals in Lagos is between 28k-40k per adult, depends on which of the panel physician you choose. Nozzle: Hello House I am kind of confused i need advice. I submitted POF (bank statement and bank reference) as part of my ITA documentations, but i have since been using the money for urgent things that came up, what is the consequence? secondly, i got my ITA July 12 while in the US where i and my wife came to have our baby, all my documents are up to date but for medicals. I am confused about where to do the medicals, i will be back to Nigeria by end of September, I called up the hospital here in houston, they gave me a bill of $940 for me, my wife and my baby. I am thinking of waiting till end of september to go back to Nigeria for the medicals. my questions are as follows;
1. will it be cheaper for me in Nigeria, for many of us who did it in Nigeria what is the cost like for somewhere like Lagos ? Mind you$940 is 340k at todays rate.
2. what happens to other documents like my POF or police report that will be almost 2 to 3 months old before i get to Nigeria. Will i have to get a new bank statement, like i said earlier ...the money don dey deplete o. please if you manage to understand me, i need your advice |

Ugh??@ bolded, that is not true, as long as it is an accredited degree&institution. I evaluated my degree with WES and no mention was made of offline/online, my certificate and transcript does not even carry that. I claimed point for Msc and didn't submit UK PCC, no ADR has been received so far. I hope not to receive ADR for PCC, VO should not comman use yeye discretion on me. I added "by correspondence" as CIC suggested but then it is all at VO's discretion. elfmann: I think the UK degree was an online thing. If that is the case the degree won't be accepted as it does have any percentage of offline engagement. I think they accept it when you had at least 25% offline. |

When you got the transaction declined message, did you save the page? The transaction declined receipt contains some details which includes reference number, the amount you attempted paying and decline error message. This detail is what your friend should tender in his bank on your behalf. My payment was declined at first attempt and I saved these details(as the page suggested) incase I am debited later. "Processing payment" which later changed to "Continue application" implies your payment have not gone through and I don't think it has anything to do with weekend, receipt is system generated. Its a tough one though, because you have strict deadline and you can't even lodge the payment complaint by yourself. If you have alternative means, proceed to pay through it and deal with this error later. You can let people that have used Bank of America card weigh in... All the best! walexlo78: My Peeps in the house, good day to you all. Please I have a dilemma here and will like your comments especially from anyone who has experienced same or similar.
I submitted and paid for my application yesterday morning using my friends Bank Of America card. I got a transaction decline message while application page got stuck on ''payment processing''. The Bank sent a message to my friend to authorize which he did and he has seen the amount debited in his account. However, my status changed to ''continue application'' again and still same as I write now meaning application is not submitted yet.
Should it still be so?, I thought the status should have changed, probably to application submitted and payment received while I get the payment receipt. The main challenge is that I have as at now just 2days remaining to the submission deadline. Is the submission not happening or payment not reflecting because it is a weekend?? What can I do to solve this before the 2days deadline?? |

Ommission of your middle name shouldn't be a problem. Not even an abbreviation of it, dey only wrote my surname and first name.(maiden name) Please what do I do? I am in the process of iqas verification, was hoping to fax it today. Gurus please help! |

Lol...sorry i had to laugh. This your process sounds like 2 months journey. You sound like you work for ETX @ it is not their fault, so it is my fault abi, Ok. My bro/sis, OAU transcript doesn't need more than a week to be ready if everyone is doing their job, max 2weeks if you are applying for the first time. So you can pay through ETX and follow up the remaining part yourself and let ETX dispatch on completion. So if you are really in Ife, don't waste time, enter a cool headed smiling officer there, buy "recharged cards" and get them to work. All the best! Adiahabasi: Either way you still have to go through ETX, once you get to transcript office they ask if you've paid online, if you've not they give you the ETX link and tell you to come back after payment with proof of payment. Its not ETX's fault, thing is,if its the 1st time of requesting for the transcript, transcript staff have to collate result from your department, @ the department, the secretary will ask for a roll of paper to print(most departments do) transcript staff would just drop the request and leave, to probably check back after a couple of weeks, if during that period there was no paper supply OYO. You wait again till they go back to check, if within that period you get a staff or student to help you follow up, transcript staff wld direct them to the concerned dept and they may have to drop a rim or 2 rim of paper, once that is done, takes less than 2weeks....I dey OAU @ the moment.... |

I so much agree with you. One can't tell if the change in restriction is in our favour just yet, although funding domicilliary account does not exactly translate to getting value at less than 370 to a USD eventually. There are hidden charges on conversion from USD to CAD when you do your transaction (as much as 100dollars addition compared to what you will find in any conversion chart) God dey! solarmanng: I will suggest you find out GTBank online exchange rate first before settling for this news. Currently, they're exchange at about NGN380/USD while you can get less than NGN370/USD presently in the black market. So I will suggest you source dollars from black market and fund your domiciliary account. Then use your dorm account for the payments; this will save a lot of cost. |

Hmmm...are you sure of this? Someone else should please throw more light because the understanding I have is that one should have equivalent amount of funds in canadian dollars till you land in Canada, so of what use will POF subject be if your fund in your own currency won't suffice, afterall you are going to use CAD to settle in Canada and not naira. Blingyrie: Exchange rate is locked as at the day the app is submitted; cic does not apply fluctuating rates thereafter |

I seriously doubt child birth certificate will be enough as it is not part of CIC's list, though they claim they MAY accept other proves aside listed ones. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?What do you mean the "marriage didn't hold" though... KayVutton: I intend applying with my common law partner. We are both married traditionally but don't want to get married legally for personal reasons. I need some clarification please.
Will our child's birth certificate be enough to prove we are common law partners? We don't live together hence can't provide rent in both our names.
We both applied for US visa for our honeymoon unfortunately we got rejected and the marriage didn't hold. Will this be a red flag?

Exhaust all available options online to merge and resize your entire POF document, do it in bits until you get what you need. My 6month statement was 77pages, it was tiring before I could scan and get it to 4mb but I did eventually. Remxyj: Good afternoon house... Concerning the the passport photograph requirement, is it really important for the studio to write their name and sign at the back of the photograph? I think getting married while awaiting PPR makes more sense. It is better you get it all done with before you leave. Leaving without getting married means you will come back to get married and then apply to sponsor your spouse when you get back to Canada and wait for a year processing time or explore the route of spouse open work permit. Marriage registry needs minimum of 21days to register prior to a wedding date. But I hear there are ways to bring the file forward and makes it less (naija for you), you didn't hear that from me TDELTD: Hello Guys, I have a question. Which makes more sense? To get married while waiting for PPR or to get COPR, travel and then come back to Nig to get married. What are the timelines for both options?
Also, what is the timeline for carrying out a marriage at the registry? Can it all be done say within one week? Please advise. |
