For those dat didn't assess spouse educational qualifications and have filled d eAPR, Wat did u upload in education placeholder for spouse? Was it only d ielts or did u add d degree certificates?

People that have never submitted an application to CIC... It is sis though

You won't have one if you are a first time applicant. In that case, leave the column blank.

The important thing is that the document you are uploading is very clear, readable and will open on various pdf versions on a PC.

I have used phone scanner for a number of things and it's clear but I won't advise anyone to try that on this Canamission, there are more things to worry about than scanning.

Ohk...gat you, but a number of people have recorded work experience from more than one employer here. I think this has to do with it being minimum of 1year at the skilled job.

Total is 4years sef provided you can get reference letter for firm A and B. It will even help your score.

If firm B only, then it is 2years.

I am yet to submit my e-APR but I am going to upload all. I believe the signed and stamped form was issued for a reason, so why leave it out.
So I suggest you upload all, making 3 pages in all,1page PCC and 2pages form. #my2kobo

Exactly why I chose to use WES o. Funny enough,
I didn't even experience most of the problems people keep complaining of on here. Maybe I was just lucky then...
I had already make up my mind that the problem is going to be with Nigerian institutions, they are the ones that caused my ECA delay. WES completed my ECA in 20business days after receiving "ALL" documents and that includes the verification process.
I think people just need to calm down and ensure things are fixed from their end before giving themselves undue pressure over WES timeline. You can't be counting days when your school has not even responded to a mail. #Myopinion

I will pick WES over IQAS.
WES seems to be world coverage. If you are not press for time go for WES. You never know... opportunity may arise in the US or other countries and with a snap of a finger, you have your WES to present rather than going through contacting schools again.
Nigerian schools are sometimes the demons and dragons to be slayed. God help you if they go on strike....

So sorry about this, really an unfortunate situation.
More reason we have to leave this country for them so our kids don't go through the same frustration.

Many thanks for the link. I have had someone check for me but Exams and Records unit is also affected by the strike action. I think unfortunately I am stuck and will have to wait till the strike is called off and only God knows when that will be.

The home address you go to during school break is the address you fill in there....although yesterday's CIC update removed address history from my forms, everything now under personal history and space for full address wasn't there like before, so you might not even need those addresses again,just city and town.
I haven't checked today though...na soso update

I experienced similar issue yesterday, even though I didnt have any entry later than 10years back/18years old as stated.

Remove/edit organization from your entry. You should be fine. This error message popped up after the update on the website, "being a member of an organization no longer count as part of personal/address history".

In essence, tell them something else you were doing during that period tagged "organization".

That was what I did and the form validated succesfully.

Modification: there are some entries that could amount to misrepresentation if you just decide to put them to start at 2007 because of the 10years ish e.g. saying you started schooling in 2007 when you actually started in 2005. Your form will still validate if you enter education start date as 2005 even though it is more than 10years ago.

Lol, good question! Thought of plagiarism should be sufficient to discourage anyone from writing word for word. There might be no rule against it but it only makes your job duties appear like you outlined it to suit the requirement, not that you carried out those activities,even if you have.

It is essential you complete this application before you apply for transcript. You have to quote your WES reference number on all documents you are submitting.

Read through the instructions and get to know the requirements before you apply so you don't make mistake.

I don't think you need crb.com to process your PCC. Have someone go to alagbon and pick the form for you. Return the filled form (scanned) to the person along with your passport photograph and passport datapage. Ofcourse with the fees . Your PCC will come out asap, not everyone in Nigeria is even travelling down to Lagos to get PCC.

I bet you dont want to thread that crb path and wait forever after paying a lot.

Transcript is MANDATORY and must be sent by insitution. It is even the common cause of delay in processing ECA because of delay from Nigerian institutions and verification process.

Endeavour to visit WES website to check list of required document for your credentials.

I will suggest you face the journey together as a couple. Depending on your plan, chances are that both of you will even be married before the end of the mission so you will end up trying to make things fit into each other's application.

And if you choose to apply as singles, remember it means planning for 2 different applications...POF et al

As for the score, it won't make a difference after all, since both of you are planning to write English test and do ECA, so that will balance out.

I think you should go ace your English test and worry yourself about who should be the principal applicant by calculating your score

However,I am not implying you hold on with entering the pool if you know marriage is still so far away o....

It takes 20business days once they receive ALL your required documents.
However, there might be need for verification from institution along the line, you will be contacted if need be.

For me, I waited 20 days from the day my institution responded to their verification, then I chatted them up on facebook with my query and reference number.
My ECA got completed the same day of the FB enquiry.

I have heard of people that used tweeter...either ways, be sure of the information you are submitting query over.

It is the soft copy of your WES evaluation you need, so you can get it delivered safely to wherever you want, the receiver can scan and send to you.

Band 8 for IETS is not impossible but ensure you do not underestimate the exam. Every examination has its own principle that candidate must understand well, no matter how easy it appears. There are useful tips and practice test on lizielts (google it) and also practice with the link you will receive when you register with BC.

It is compulsory for the PA only, only necessary for your spouse if you need to boost your score. Try and calculate your score (as married and unmarried) with and without his test and ECA, so you can decide what to do.

I suggest you begin your process now, no one knows when the rules will change.
Have you taken language test and evaluated your credentials? If no, that will take some time out of the few months you have to your wedding.
Whatever stage you get to by the time you get married, inform CIC of the change in your situation.
Your spouse should be ready to take language test and do credential evaluation...depending on the stage of the process you are when your status changes.

I am 28, studied French in my first degree and alsohave a professional masters certificate. I will be married soon but I wanna know if I should begin my application now or wait till i get married later in d year. (though we want to go as a couple)Which is better for a good point?

Also, with my age n french speaking skill, is it better to apply for a QSW or FSW to be on the safe side. I would actually prefer Quebec so I can enhance my french speaking skills but would rather choose the easier option right now n probably relocate later.

1. I think you should go with what is on your WES evaluation...Meanwhile, does your certificate or transcript read 2year program? I believe WES would have evaluated based on the document you submitted and what they verified, so something must have triggered their assessment, perhaps your transcript.

2. I suggest you fill the forms based on your actual work period because that is what you earned point for in the first instance (innit? Lol)and then use the LOE section to explain why you have an overlap in your reference letter(s) i.e. you have been offered employment but your actual work started on so so date as a result of notice period in your former workplace or for whatever reason it is.

I hope this helps...look out for more suggestions from the gurus

I evaluated mine using ETX-NG but the important factor is having someone to followup physically for you after ETX approves payment. ETX approved my payment and went to rest(for 7weeks)-I was jonzing. They didn't lift a finger until my file got to the right table (in just a day) at exams and records; sent someone there! Then ETX posted and transcript got to destination 4days after.

I just read this news that LG marriage certificates has been declared illegal and letter has been issued to embassies in Nigeria not to issue visa to candidate with such.

I am in the process of submitting e-APR, all documents are ready and was planning to make payment in 2weeks time...but marriage certificate was issued by LG.
Hubby is of the opinion that this wont affect our application and re-issued certificate can be tendered later on when the LG has it. But I am so worried, don't even know what to do and don't want this whole journey to be jeopardized with just this certificate thing.

Might sound like I don't have a question but I am so confused right now. Anyone with clarification should please help. Thanks
