Tears and emotion ran out on Sunday at the funeral of rapper Sound Sultan who died at the age of 44 after battling Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma, Igbere TV reports.

The rapper born Olanrewaju Fasasi was buried immediately according to Islamic rites.

In a video posted on Instagram by musician Lamboginny, Sound Sultan’s wife Farida Fasasi is seen repeatedly saying “I don’t want to bury him” when it was time to pay her last respect to her husband.

Farida could not bring herself to perform the dust to dust ritual. She was later helped up for the burial to continue.

Sound Sultan had three children with Farida an Igbo lady who used to be known as Chichi Morah.

Farida changed her name and religion after tying the knot with Sound Sultan, a Muslim, in 2009.

At one time, Sound Sultan denied forcing his wife to change her religion. “No one can change or force someone to change his or her religion. It just happened that she was married to me and she herself is in love with the religion,” he said.

The Synagogue Church of All Nations has released detail for the funeral of its founder Prophet T.B. Joshua who died on June 5, Igbere TV reports.

Like it earlier said, Joshua’s funeral would be completed in a week from July 5 to 11.

Media mogul Dele Momodu, a friend of the late clergyman, posted a picture to Instagram on Friday night showing details of the funeral as released by the church.

On July 5, a candlelight procession will be held. A tribute service and service of songs/all night praise will be held on July 6 and 7.

Joshua will lie in state on July 8. The funeral service and interment will hold the following day, July 9.

The funeral will be rounded off with a thanksgiving service on July 11.

The week-long programme will be broadcast live on Emmanuel TV.

The church had earlier said Joshua would be buried at the church contrary to wishes by the traditional rulers in Arigidi Akoko, the prophet’s hometown in Ondo.

It also assured its members that worship will not stop at the church following shutdown since Joshua’s demise.

Nigerians on social media have expressed shock as Honeywell Flour Mill Plc release a new version of its Honeywell Spaghetti, Igbere TV reports.

The new spaghetti nicknamed “Mini” was released following the country’s continuous increase in food prices.

@drinowrld reports that the “Mini” version is believed to be released for those who love to eat spaghetti but can’t afford the regular 500g version of the spaghetti, which currently costs N280.

The price of the new version of the spaghetti is yet to be known as the time of filing this report.

Oniru of Iru land in Lagos Oba Omogbolahan Lawal on Thursday conferred chieftaincy titles on Toyin Saraki and 11 others for their contributions to the development of the kingdom, Igbere TV reports.

Mrs. Saraki, wife of former Senate President Bukola Saraki was conferred with the title of Erelu Bobajiro of Iru land.

The conferment of honorary chieftaincy titles on Saraki and other was part of activities celebrating the first coronation anniversary of Oba Lawal as Oniru.

Speaking during the ceremony, the monarch said that the programme was the beginning of the drive to ensure the collective development of Iru land.

The traditional ruler said that his kingdom would continue to recognise eminent dignitaries for their positive contributions to the land.

He said that among his developmental agenda was to ensure that the kingdom evolves into a sustainable city, with a special breed of truly resilient people.

Oba Lawal noted that the chieftaincy titles was a call to service to grow Iru land into one of the most sustainable and desirable communities in Lagos.

“I believe all my new chiefs will be collectively supporting us to redevelop, reinvigorate, regenerate and re-engineer Iru land.

“I know you are capable; you are able, you have the wherewithal. even your contacts alone should be able to do that,” he said.

One of the new chiefs Michael Tawadrous thanked the traditional ruler for the honour bestowed on him and promised to continue to contribute to the development of the community.

Nollywood actress Nuella Njubigbo has joined the class of celebrities with Lexus SUVs, Igbere TV reports.

The 37-year-old movie star’s SUV is a Lexus RX350 2016 model estimated at N19 million, according to the automobile-based website.

Nuella’s friends Mimi Orjiekwe and Belinda Effah (now Grace Charis Bassey) were present as she took delivery of the car.

Belinda first broke the news on Instastories on May 30 and the video was reposted by Nuella as well.

Nuella is seen at different times in the video expressing shock and surprise as she stares at the automobile.

She breaks down in tears as her excited colleagues and friends congratulate her and try to get her to enter the car. On entering the car, the actress looks around, obviously still in shock.

The car gift came weeks after the actress and her husband, Tchidi Chikere, reportedly split. Rumour of their split first made the headlines in March but by May, it became evident that there was trouble in their home.

The couple unfollowed each other on Instagram. Njubigbo’s Instagram bio used to read “mother and wife” but it has been changed to “award-winning filmmaker, mum, CEO”.

Chikere also shared a cryptic message on his Instagram page late on Saturday, May 22, 2021, which gave hints that all may not be well in his home.

Some unidentified Gunmen have attacked Fulani Herdsmen violating the ban on open grazing in Essien Udim Local Government Akwa Ibom state, IgbereTV reports.

The Gunmen on motorbikes defiled the curfew put in place by the state government to carry out the attack, early Sunday Morning, which resulted in the death of atleast 12 cows, while the Fulani herders took to their heels.

The chairman of Essien Udim Local Government, Mr Anthony Luke, while reacting to the development, described the incident as unfortunate, "giving the fact the Local Government has in the recent times become an epicentre of cults war with security agencies including the Police, Customs and Army as well as government institutions as objects of attack."

A military operation against the hoodlums including land and aerial bombardments were launched against the hoodlums last month in their base in Ikot Akpan in Essien Udim council, and Luke believes the remnants who fled the operation have regrouped to continue the mayhem.

Iniubong Umoren, the young girl who went job hunting has been murdered and buried in a shallow grave by her abductor, Igbere TV can authoritatively report.

The deceased was alleged to have on Thursday, April 29, 2021, went for a "job interview" at an undisclosed location on Airport Road in the outskirts of Uyo.

About two hours later, she reportedly made a frantic phone call where she was heard screaming before the call was abruptly ended. Her phone line has been switched off ever since.

Soon after, the social media went viral with her story which saw the internet being used to unmask her abductor.

24 hours later, Nigerians on social media provided evidence, locations, contacts and almost everything needed to unmask her kidnapper with the hope that the intelligence provided will help in finding the missing Iniobong Umoren and bring his abductor to justice.

The suspect was alleged to have taken the late Miss Umoren to his house where an argument ensured and in the process, he used an object to hit her on the head resulting in her death. He was alleged to have hurriedly buried her in a shallow grave and ran to Oron to hide.

Following pressure by the Police and Nigerians on social media, Oron became uncomfortable for him and he ran back to Uruan. The Chairman of Uruan LGA, Surv. Iniobong Ekpeyong was said to have met the accused cousin and asked him to bring the accused to him.

When he was taken before the Chairman, he was asked to be truthful about what actually transpired. It was there he confessed to his Local Government Chairman that he actually killed and buried her in a shallow grave. A shocked Surv Ekpeyong had no choice but to call the DPO of Uruan LGA and handed over the suspect to the Police for further investigation and prosecution.

9. Any interstate transfer of officers to be effected with the provision of transport and accommodation allowance.

10. Provision of two pairs of uniform and boots for all personnel, annually.

11. Increased allocation paid directly to each police division to run its operations.

12. Bi-monthly inspection and audit of police cells, to be carried out in conjunction with representatives from the local NBA Branch and the Bench.
