KabirHakeem: Hello Nairaland,
I need an advice, I am trying to purchase a clean 2005 lexus es330, but a mechanic advised against it and told me to buy a camry instead (Be it same year or a muscle).
According to him, lexus es330 is expensive to maintain and harder to get a good mechanic on the street in emergency situations.
Please share your advice from your experience. I use ES 300, I bought October 10 2022. And it is a good car sincerely. Everything is pure and vibrant. It has same engine with big daddy v6. And the maintenance is also the same. Although lexus generally have expensive body parts. But you will enjoy the car. |

Happy motoring!! use a camry 2004. Whenever I start it early in the morning or after leaving it for some hours, I hear this rattling noise that stops in 1 or 2 seconds after starting the car. If I start immediately after, it won't make the noise again. The mechanic said it is the top cylinder,I changed it and nothing has changed. The sound is still there. Please has this happened to anyone before and how did you rectify it? It seems some of these mechanics are just doing guess work. Please treat as urgent. |

Insecurity: Many Injured As Muslim Parents Protest Against Rejection Of Hijab-wearing Students At Baptist School In Kwara
http://saharareporters.com/2022/02/03/many-injured-muslim-parents-protest-against-rejection-hijab-wearing-students-baptist I can see Christians passing misinformation as usual, we won't allow you to give a wrong impression. These schools started as normal schools, they were never Christian schools except a few, although they bear Christian names, because of the missionary masters. But the administration themselves handed over these schools to the state govt because they couldn't fund it any more. So the govt took over the schools, started paying salaries, built infrastructure, all with tax payer's money. Don't forget that this Kwara is a state that has 75-80% Muslim population. Out of 16 local government, 14 are dominated by Muslims. So how does it make sense to you Christian bigot that the state used the money of the majority to pay you people to Christianize the Muslim kids? It won't happen. This is Kwara not Benue or Anambra. Furthermore, the state has gone to court to resolve this issue. CAN also went to court. CAN has lost three cases in different courts on this issue. And they still disobeyed the court orders. Infact, there are Christian judges who ruled in favor of the Muslims in this issue. But anywhere CAN enters, all they want is to gather people because of unjustifiable tithes and offerings. You have failed in Kwara because we Muslim youths will deal with you. Kwara state Muslims and Christians have lived peacefully for years, until CAN started instigating violence and disobeying court orders. Not to even mention that the land that these schools were built on were given to the missionary masters free of charge, but see how they pay with evil. |

[quote author=BeeBeeOoh post=107813084]These CAN of worms think serious Muslims want to be in the same country with them. How many churches has Buhari closed down? Did he even asked them for tax? How many their funds has he stopped the West from sending? They continue to mention the issue of ISWAP and Boko Haram, the % of Muslims/Christians ration can be calculated. Muslims have been killed 20times more than Christians in the North. In the South here, our wives and daughters are denied the right to wear their Hijab/Niqab /Jilbab. Many Christians are bunch of hypocrites who cry more than the bereaved. Muslims are been persecuted in the southeast, they are been killed in their numbers everyday. Our Alma Mata in Afikpo is on the edge of going into extinction. Who wants to live in a country with these enemies of Allah? How many Christian Big wigs have died in the hands of insurgents?, Muslims cannot even calculate anymore. We have lost numbers of dead Muslims. In Oyo, the current governor is waging a serious war against Muslims. He allegedly delayed the appointment of a Muslim judge till that man died, he immediately installed a Christians. So where is the persecution of Christians in Nigeria? Bunch of Munaafiq. You cannot even count the numbers of churches in Nigeria, every bus stop, they preach. Even in the market they preach, on Facebook different pages for preaching Christianity, who had stopped all of this? |

Voy: As the Naira approaches ₦500 to $1, let me remind Nigerians of how we left Nigeria on May 29, 2015:
- 50kg bag of rice was ₦8000 - bag of cement was ₦800 - Fuel was ₦87 per litre -Minimum wage was ₦18000 which was equivalent to $120 - Electricity tariff was half the current rate -Unemployment rate was single digit - $1 was ₦150 (₦199 in 2015) - Lagos-Abuja air fare was ₦10,000 -Brand new tear rubber Kia Cerato was ₦3.6 million - A bottle of Coke was ₦60 - A tin of Peak milk was ₦80 - Banditry was nonexistent in the Northwest -Killer herdsmen were being arrested and tried -Boko Haram were being devastated, not rehabilitated, and elections held in every Local Government Area of Nigerians on Election Day in 2015.

We might be in crisis, the damage PDP left on ground got us into this place. Didn't Dr Okojo tell us the country was borrowing to pay salaries? NerdyRudeGyal: Any sensible woman will run from a man who believes in such 1950s' concept of a "wife material" ― slavish, docile, no voice of her own, lets the man run the show ― in 2020. IMO, the modern-day wife material is a woman who has her own life, career, is strong, independent and doesn't depend on a man to do shiit. That said, any sensible woman [and man!] already knows how to do some basic things for herself, such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, etc, before she gets married; carry these skills into marriage and utilize them to take care of her children/family. Now that doesn't mean the man should deem these things her sole obligation, or refuse to assist her b/c he thinks they're beneath him, or refuse to buy the necessary household appliances/equipment to make her work easier in the home. Marriage is a partnership and if a man cannot assist his wife in the house, then he has no business getting married. You have spoken senses, but don't be too harsh in your approach to correct some obvious mistakes been committed by some men. A man that has money should provide all of these, it is not even for the wife, it is for the ease of getting work done in the home. But a man that doesn't have money to get all of these and he is not lazy, he is working to make ends meet, surely, common sense doesn't mean he should be treated like a piece of shit because he can't. Well done. |

Romance › Re: She Cheated With Her 'Cousin'. I'm Finding It Hard To Forgive Her by abdulkabirO(m): 2:13am On Mar 21, 2019 |
starring: Good day fellow Nairalanders
I met this girl last year July through a good friend, while I was oversees, we started e-dating and everything went smoothly although, we had series of misunderstandings during December last year but we resolved it afterwards
She called me and told me to me about a particular guy that comes to sleep at her room (she's still schooling), she said the guy was her cousin. I had to believe her because according to her, he is a cousin and I don't think they will be romantically involved in anyway.
The guy slept in my GF's room 3 different times that I'm aware of. He spent 5days the first time, the second time he spent close to a week, the third, he slept and left the following day. She told me each time the guy was visiting, this made me trust her and believed that the guy was her cousin.
My GF and I had a serious argument and misunderstanding this January, my girlfriend's brother had to step in and begged on her behalf. GF's brother and I spoke at length and I used that opportunity to ask my GF's bro about the guy my girlfriend introduced to me as her cousin.
Her brother told me they are not related by blood in any way, that they are JUST close family friends and nothing more and moreso, the guy in question once asked my gf out but due to the closeness of the family, my guy's mum playfully declined the request. Immidately he said this, my blood pressure increased, my heart beat increased 100x faster, one million and one thoughts ran through my head.
Though, I once asked her why the cousin always come to her room and stay longer period of days before leaving, the answer she gave me was that the guy is a serving corps member and whenever he wants to visit his family, he branches to her place and spend some time with her before going home (when I was in Nigeria, I do visit my cousins and spend time with them before leaving so I had no issues with the guy coming over if truly they are related)
To cut the long story short, I asked her about the true identity of the guy, she told me the truth and she swore that they did nothing during her so called 'cousin' numerous sleepovers in her room. I forgave her for lying to me and we moved on.
I got back to Nigeria last month and a source disclosed to me that my GF and her 'cousin' had sex more than five different occasions. (I don't want to reveal my source, my gf is an active nairalander)
I called her and told her about what I heard. She denied at first but later told me that they had sex 4 different times while I was away. (I'm dead sure it must be more than 4 times) She said they made out when we had issues during the December time. If this is true, they had sex 4 DIFFERENT OCCASIONS within the space of 31 days. (if not more than 10 times sef)
I'm so devastated right now. We saw over the weekend, she wasn't feeling too well, I picked her from her school to the school hospital and later brought to my house. She spent the night at my place and begged me all through the night for me to forgive her and that she is truly sorry for the pain she caused me, she also begged in the car with tears and mucus all over her face while I was dropping her off to her place. She said she is a changed person and that her life will be meaningless if I leave and that everybody deserves a second chance.
I honestly don't know what to do at this juncture. I don't tolerate infidelity of any kind more reason why I'm straightforward and loyal to her. I told her I have forgiven her because she wouldn''t leave my car if I don't forgive her. She kept crying and crying making passers-by wonder if I'm trying to kidnap her or something, I felt uncomfortable with the whole situation. The truth is that my heart is far from her the very moment she admitted to having sex with the guy while in a relationship with me. I find it highly disturbing.
How do I leave her without making her hurt herself because she may get herself killed once it's obvious that i am gone for good and secondly, if truly she's changed, is her sin really forgivable and forgettable?
The Best thing is to let her go and live with her sex mate. Whether you forgive her or not, that episode that she had sex with someone else will hurt and hunt you forever. In other words, let her go. |

helppppp: Hi everyone, I have to narrate my ordeal to you all. I'm really suffering here and I'm very sad at present. No one knows this cuz I'm always jovial. Seriously I suffer a lot!
I can't even recall when I started watching porn but this week will make a complete 2 years that I have been masturbating. I felt this kind of regret when it was a year too. Please help me, I don't want it to persist again. I don't want to continue with it.
It's even got to a stage that I get aroused to anything exposure about the female. Merely looking at boobs at times, I'd have to control myself. I can't even stand a TV soft sexual act, I'd definitely be aroused. I'm hating on myself!
Before, when I engage in this act, I used to last long a little time but nowadays, I can't even stay two seconds. All I need to hear is the voice of the porn star and I'm done. I know that means I've already developed premature ejaculation (PE) .. Another one I notice nowadays is that I don't get the full control of my joystick as before, it's still standing but I feel it's lost some strength. I feel I have developed erection dysfunction (ED) also and I have never had sex before. I don't my future wife to be depressed about me!
I'm gonna be 21 in August, I don't want this thing to remain with me please help.. I have already lost enough with it. My final year result was pure rubbish, I was only lucky to make a 2.1 cuz i had had good results already in the past. Lots of times I have also contemptlated suicide or harming myself in a way to end this but I won't do that ever.
Even being in my early twenties, I'm far from being broke but I've never had a girlfriend. Just help me please! The best thing for you is to get married. |

dmexy33: To be realistic, Islam is a radical religion that openly urges adherents to kill other people of different faith. If Islam had the power that Christianity has they would oppress and kill Christians and Jews. If you doubt consider recent happening in Libya involving slave trade by Muslim there, In the past the 6 days war against Isreal, e.t.c
In the world we live in today the most powerful and dangerous force that exists is Christian Zionism. If you doubt me look at the status of Isreal. Today there is no longer any thing called Palestine. While the herdsmen were busy killing Christians in Churches, the military went to the troubled zone to kill and burn houses, herdsmen moved freely with weapons but they forget that the world powers are Mostly Christian nations. Russia, U.S, All of Europe. In Nigeria Christians are a very very powerful force but because of the nature of Christianity, turn the other cheek some Muslims see as weak. This is how it started with Isreal and today Palestine has disappeared and now the muslims are crying and claiming the victim. Look at Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Iraq, Syria all in ruins---the power of Christian Zionism. When Trump declared Jerusalem capital of Isreal, President Buhari condemned the move, his actions provoked Isreal and of course Trump himself. I encourage our Muslim brothers to be careful especially the extremist. If this is the case, every other adherents of other religions should have been killed, there are more than 2b Muslims on the globe and you still foolishly attach killing to Islam?that's bias |
