Christianity in Nigeria has not only gone wrong, I think most of the pastors and church members have gone mad!

On the 22nd of July 2016, at about 10:30am at Ajibawo in Ado odo OTA division 2; NSCDC officers rescued a 9-year old boy named Taiwo Korede, who had been chained for weeks at Celestial Church of Christ Key of Joy Parish, Ajiwo. The case has since been transfered to the appropriate authority for further investigation.

How can a parent or assumed child of God do this to a child? What was his crime? This is child abuse at its finest. And I hop every one involved is brough to bo

Foreign AffairsRe: Eric Avina, HIV+ Malawian Who Is Paid Money For Unprotected Sex With Girls by abdulkabirO(m): 7:27am On Jul 22, 2016
contactmorak:
According to BBC News, Eric Avina pictured is a middle aged HIV positive Malawian man whose responsibility it is to conduct "sexual cleansing" for underaged and also matured women in Nsanje district in southern Malawi.

Avina in his community is referred to as Hyena, a traditional title given to a man hired by communities in several remote parts of southern Malawi to provide what's called sexual "cleansing".

If a man dies, for example, his wife is required by tradition to sleep with Avina before she can bury him. If a woman has an abortion, she is expected to sleep with Avina to undergo cleansing. Also teenage girls, after their first menstruation, are made to have sex over a three-day period with Avina to mark their passage from childhood to womanhood. If the girls refuse, it's believed, disease or some fatal misfortune could befall their families or the village as a whole. He says he's one of 10 hyenas in their community, and that every village in Nsanje district has them. They are paid from $4 to $7 (£3 to £5) each time.
"Most of those I have slept with are girls, school-going girls. Some girls are just 12 or 13 years old, but I prefer them older. All these girls find pleasure in having me as their hyena. They actually are proud and tell other people that this man is a real man, he knows how to please a woman." he told BBC

Avina when asked said he is aware that he is HIV positive but he doesn't tell the women he sleeps with. Although he has lost count of the women he has slept with, he puts the figure at about 104. He is married to two women who know about his job and approve.

Christianity EtcRe: Christianity Fast Facts: 8 Things Christians Believe In by abdulkabirO(m): 7:00pm On Jul 10, 2016
Famouson:
The term "Christian" is a relatively broad term, with approximately 78 percent of Americans identifying themselves as such. Specific beliefs vary from denomination to denomination, even person to person, but core values and principles often remain the same from one church to another.

Below are a few Christianity fast facts about eight Christian beliefs:

1. ONE GOD: Christianity is founded on the belief that there is one God composed of three distinct persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ his Son, and the Holy Spirit. They serve distinct purposes but are one as a deity.

2. GOD CREATED THE WORLD: Christians believe God created the world in six days, resting on the seventh. They believe man is His most prized creation.

3. GOD'S SON IS JESUS: Jesus Christ is God's Son and the only way to salvation and forgiveness of sins. Christians believe he was sent to earth, born from a virgin, was crucified, and rose from the dead in three days so that man's sins could be forgiven once and for all.

4. THE BIBLE: Christians' holy book, the Bible, is believed to be God's inspired word, a historical document, and a guide for faithful living.

5. SIN: Christianity teaches that all people are born into sin and no one is good enough to earn salvation. It's this sin that separates mankind from God with whom they can only be forgiven and justified through belief in God.

6. SALVATION: This can only be achieved through repentance of sins and belief in Jesus Christ and His death and resurrection. Only then can Christians have a relationship with God that was only made possible through Christ's sacrifice.

7. AFTERLIFE: Most Christians believe in a Heaven and Hell, eternal destinations for those who have been saved and those who are not, respectively. Heaven is a paradise reserved for believers and Hell a place of torment for those who have rejected God.

8. ANGELS AND DEMONS: It is believed that there are beings, created by God, that influence mankind. Angels strive to further God's purpose and message and demons' goal is to lead people away from God under the leadership of Satan or the Devil. Many believe the two armies are constantly at war for the souls of humanity.
I don't eeven understand, how come they re varieties of Christianities, some don't believe in one god, some believe Jesus is the son of God, some will just say they don't like KJV of the bible, also why do we even have many bibles?is it not the book of god,Why does it have versions, I need answers ,intelligent ones

Is there oil production in the North?

Why don't you talk to us about agricultural production or manufacturing instead of the crude oil?

Why don't you tell us how you raised literacy rates; cut maternal death and fistula rates; ensured that a higher percentage of girls went to school?

And no sir, law is not 'logic' - where is the logic in Sharia law? Where is the logic in allowing people who can barely take care of themselves take on more than one wife? Where is the logic in allowing young girls to be violated and calling it marriage?

Where is the logic in Nigeria's constitution that forces states/people to relinquish the rights to certain properties that are in their domain?

EKITI ARISE! A CLARION CALL TO ALL EKITI STAKEHOLDERS ALL OVER THE WORLD

It's high time we put aside our political differences, our political affiliations and whatever that separate us, and cleaved to that which would guarantee good governance, and alleviate the sufferings of our kinspersons in Ekiti land. It's high time we stood for good governance. It's high time we realized the reason for our desire for a change of baton during the administration of Dr. Fayemi. It's high time we stopped talking of political parties. We cannot pretend not to know that all is not well with our dear state. And no one should remind anyone that it's a general phenomenon all over the country, Nigeria.
If the current trails of accusation against our incumbent governor, His Excellency Ayodele Fayose, are true; it's high time we rebuked him.
Whichever way it's used to expose any form of self-enrichment or stealing of our commonwealth is acceptable. Be it witch-hunt, persecution, or prosecution. As long as it's established that our money was stolen, it's an injustice against Ekiti people.
It's time to let the world know that, The people of Ekiti extraction, who know Fayose right from the beginning: his hay days at the motor park in Molete/Challenge Ibadan, his shoddy stint at Ibadan Polytechnic and the attendant OND/HND certificate drama, his first advent in Ekiti state house and his inglorious exit, his alleged backdoor second advent, and his impending doom, if found guilty; cannot be moved by any antics.
We should let the world know what we want is good governance, and whosoever can give that to us is welcomed irrespective of his political party. It's time to let the world know that Most of the people singing the praises of corrupt politicians are either people of questionable character, or people who are innocently ignorant, or people who depend on politics for a living.
A true born Ekiti with intact integrity does not celebrate stealing , mediocrity, or sycophancy.
Our Dear Governor Fayose should know that time is the decider of all things. If he's stolen, time will tell.
In the end, the truth would be exposed. And it would leave no one in doubt. It's a matter of time.
The clock is ticking. The time is fast approaching. The day of reckoning is here!
If the son of the next neighbor is stealing, does that make it unnecessary to chastise my own son for stealing? If it's proven, whether by witch-hunt, persecution or prosecution that Fayose has stolen, he must be made to face the wrath of the law .
It's time we stop interfering with government investigators.
And we must know, that if this administration shields any corrupt persons in Ekiti by virtue of political alliances, another administration would come and do justice to that. Who ever knew that those who were eating our yam yesterday could be made to vomit them today?
We are Ekiti! We are honorable people.
God bless Ekiti State.
God bless Nigeria

I guess fayose is also seeing this, let him clear his name.simple

It's no news that only 13% of 2016 budget will be funded by the SALE of Crude

Which means that Nigeria is gradually diversifying its economy away from the Oil sector which is expected to even "nose down more". By d time Iran starts pumping their Oil into the international Market, also with d demand for cleaner energy rising day by day and d Cost becoming cheaper and cheaper, I can tell u that in d Next 20 yrs a bucket of Clean water may worth more than a bucket of toxic crude.

What will become of ND a report that has been raped by the Nigeria Government for the past 10 decade

Myndd the funny guy!

How can you say that President Jonathan cut down the allowances of states and held some money due to them? Please you are better informed than this na. These states had planned their budget on the expectations of revenues most especially the federal allocation that comes to them. In the course of planing, they did not envisage that the price of crude oil will drop and neither did they even have a back up plan. So they took huge loans from banks and other financial agencies (most especially the international ones who were even eager to give) for whatever reason.

Unfortunately, the bubble bursted and revenue substantially reduced. All these creditor had an agreement that there will be a standing deduction at source whenever the allocations due to these states comes in. The collateral for these loans were their monthly allocation. The bank is not a charity but in for business and the loans they give are not owned by them but customers. As the allocation comes in, the deductions are made and whatever is left becomes the property of the state. So the smaller the revenue that accrues, the smaller the balance and it becomes difficult for government to function.

So please Myndd, keep political sentiments aside and be objective.....for once. President Jonathan did not act like President Obasanjo who withheld the allocations of Local Governments of a particular state.
what of other states ,u better keep shut if u have got nothing meaningful to say,the state at which osun is now was caused by the bad agenda and hatred Jonathan had for osun,

PoliticsRe: APC Leaders To End Saraki’s CCT Trial For A Successful Ministerial Screening by abdulkabirO(m): 8:30pm On Nov 01, 2015
prudentcy:
According to reports from the Tribune, APC leaders are meeting to end senate president, Bukola Saraki’s trial at the Code of conduct Tribunal due to way he handled the ministerial screening and making sure all 36 nominees were confirmed even with strong opposition from the PDP.

The party leaders are impressed with Saraki’s leadership in the senate so far and are meeting to make sure the charges leveled against him at the Code of conduct Tribunal are dropped.

"You can see that even in the days when the PDP had overwhelming majority, it was not always certain of getting all the ministerial nominees through the Senate. Most times, the Senate, even with an overwhelming majority of PDP members used to reject nominees of PDP presidents. But with a slim majority in the current Senate, the Senate President secured clearance for all our nominees. This is a good omen,” a leader of the party said.

The party added that confirmation of all ministerial nominees helped restored the unity of it’s members in the senate.

“It was the unity among APC senators that ensured the confirmation of Chief Rotimi Amaechi. If the division had remained, we won’t be able to achieve that, because all the PDP senators needed was just a few dissenting voices from the APC,” another source said.

“I have it on good authority that leaders of the party are insisting that one good turn deserves another and that they will work on Buhari in the new week to ensure that the party reciprocates the gestures shown by Saraki. The man has given indication that whatever the APC policies are, they can rely on the Senate as an ally,” another source stated.

PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Statements De-marketing Nigeria, PDP Says by abdulkabirO(m): 5:00pm On Nov 01, 2015
ochejoseph:

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has drawn the attention of Nigerians to the ‘harmful consequences’ of the unabated negative statements from the very father of the nation, President Muhammadu Buhari, on the economy and the general image of the country.
The party said “it is worrisome that in the last six months, the President, instead of making efforts to harness resources and grow the economy, has rather continued to apply himself, perhaps unwittingly, to demarketing the nation and scaring away investors through negative labelling of Nigerians and unwarranted unhealthy portrayal of the nation’s economy”.
The PDP, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, on Sunday said the President’s unwary statements have become very serious clog in the wheel of progress, eroding the confidence of both domestic and international investors in the Nigerian economic and social system.
“In the last six months, our President has only succeeded in discouraging foreign investors with his continued misrepresentation of our country as a business unfriendly environment, where most of the citizens are basically corrupt, dishonest, and cannot be trusted.
“Whereas we have restated our total support for the war against corruption, we insist that Mr. President’s unceasing blanket negative labelling of citizens, in a country where millions of honest and hardworking individuals/firms are genuinely contributing daily to the development effort, is indeed a disservice and injurious to the nation and the people.
“Furthermore, Mr. President’s recent announcement to the world that the nation, with its abundant human and natural resources, is broke and cannot pay cabinet ministers not only sends a discouraging signal to the domestic and international business community, but also exposes the ineptitude of the present administration to meaningfully and sincerely exert itself and work with industrious and innovative investors to create and manage wealth.
“We ask; how can any reasonable investor still have the confidence to invest in a country where the President himself continues to alert that his country reeks of corrupt people and that the government is broke to the extent it cannot pay cabinet ministers?
“Is the President not directly advising investors against having confidence in Nigeria and the system, and that they risk not being paid for jobs awarded by government at any level?
“More worrisome is the fact that Mr. President most times, makes his damaging comments in international fora with potential investors in attendance to the extent that reminds one of the proverbial father who, in the presence of potential suitors, often portrays his daughters as wayward and yet constantly complain of their inability to find husbands.
“Indeed, this is not the way to go, Nigeria is a country blessed with abundant human and natural resources. What we need at the moment is a serious, innovative and practical approach with the capacity to harness the resources and create wealth for the benefit of all, instead of an apparently laidback scapegoat tactics with outworn excuses and unhelpful comments.
“May we remind Mr. President that even in the darkest period of our economic challenges, successive administrations made efforts in steadying the economy, while always reassuring our citizens and the international community of the strength and economic potentials of our great nation.
“We know that in the desperation to cover its apparent lack of economic plan, this administration has positioned cabinet ministers, upon inauguration to concentrate on diversionary blame game on the past PDP administration. But even this political deceit cannot combat the unpalatable consequences of Mr. President’s damaging utterances on the image of the nation and its economy.
“Finally, we wish to remind the President and those around him that Nigerians, by the 2015 elections, have committed the fate of the country in his hands for the next four years and are not willing to accept excuses for any economic failures under his watch,” the party said.

RomanceRe: GUYS! Here Are 10 Tips To Snatching Back Your Ex Girlfriend by abdulkabirO(m): 4:31am On Oct 29, 2015
onyeka444:
1. Reconnect with a text.
Sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder—but other times, it causes that heart to seek out another man. So, don’t call first. “Try sending a sweet text, not one that will make her think you’re looking for a booty call,” says dating expert Julie Spira.
“Think about something that you shared together that might warm her heart.” Example: Was listening to the radio and heard that Coldplay song.
Brought back memories of the concert together. Hope you’re doing great? If she responds, she may be open to rekindling the spark.
2. Take it slow.
You romanced her once already, but that doesn’t mean you get to go
from zero to 60 without even getting behind the wheel. So propose getting together—not moving in together. Says Seattle-resident Adria, who took her ex back after a nasty breakup: “He apologized out of the blue after three months of no contact and was very respectful of me. He wasn’t pushy about getting back together, which would have been a red flag in my eyes.”
3. Call her, maybe. So far, so good? Great.
Suggest a casual date by phone. No texts. No emails. Let her hear your voice and register some sincere effort on your part. “See if she’d like to join you at an art gallery opening, see a movie, or a hike on a sunny day,” says Spira. “It will give you the chance to get together in a relaxed environment, without too much pressure.” But remember, accepting your invite is just that—and not a sure sign she wants to get back together. If she turns you down, give her space. “Don’t beg, cry, or stalk her,” Spira says. “If it’s meant to be, she’ll come around on her own time-table.”

4. Tell her you miss her.
If she accepts your date invite, ease in. Ask what she’s been up to, how work is going, if her dog is still peeing on the couch—whatever. Then, say you want her back. Vulnerability will up your odds of a second chance; just don’t rip the Band-Aids off every old wound. “Open your heart and see how she reacts,” Spira says. “You don’t need to talk about everything that went wrong in the relationship. She knows, you know—keep the conversation light.”
5. Own up.
If she seems open, and you want to step up for another at-bat, acknowledge your shortcomings. “If you did something hurtful, make a real apology,” Frances says.
“It might be wise to see a therapist to clarify what you did and why, and how best to sort of the problem.” Then, no matter what she did, you need to take responsibility for you—and change. If you weren’t willing to extend an effort to get to know her friends before, tell her you’d be game for drinks as a group. (Yeah, that’s right. Swallow your pride.)
6. Avoid rehashing the past.
After you’ve acknowledged the problem, look ahead.
“Don’t go down memory lane and hash out all the things you thought were wrong with the relationship,” Spira says.
Focus on the positive qualities that brought you together in the first place, like that same crazy sense of humor, or the way your laid-back personality complements her type-A tendencies.
7. Use the friend group.
While you want a new beginning, you should still tap back into those old loving feelings. And an easy way to recreate happy times is to meet up in a safe, familiar environment—like an outing with your mutual friend group. Just make sure you can easily break off from the pack to talk.
Alisha, from San Antonio, TX, had an ex take that approach—and it worked. “We were telling stories, joking and laughing together. It was comfortable, fun. Then my ex pulled me aside and asked me if we could give things another try. We talked a lot about our futures, and I felt things could really work.”

8. Don’t compare notes.
Look, forget that relationship-station hiatus even existed. You both up and went on with your lives while you were apart—but that doesn’t mean you need to talk about what went down.
“She doesn’t need to hear about the bad dates you went on,” says Spira,” or about your conquests either.”
Would you want to hear about the guys who took your place? Didn’t think so.
9. Tap your romantic side.
While chivalrous acts aren’t the most important thing, they are important. Chocolates, cards and flowers (sent to her office so all her co-workers can get green with envy) are time-honored clichés for a reason: they kind of work. But here’s how to make it a legit, not cheesy, gesture.
“Write a love letter,” says Frances. “Tell her why you love her and what it is about her that makes her completely special. It’s OK to rip off lyrics or poetry. Send the letter with flowers. Good, old-fashioned courtship works.”
10. Buy a ring.
Relax. This advice isn’t for everyone, obviously. But if you’re absolutely positive about this girl, the ultimate bold move has had unparalleled success, says Frances.
“Most of the time, the split is about commitment issues, so you’ve got to be coming back with terms she’ll be happy with.” And even if you’re not ready for the ring? You can learn something here: You have got to step it up and have a plan for the relationship. Period. No woman will rekindle a romance that’s not moving her forward…at least a little bit.
I see!!! sad FTC
