Hi, can a current student in New Brunswick Community College or a graduate in this forum help me with the school fees, I got an admission from the school last month and I received a mail of an increase in there tuition fee. I later got some information on the school website on student government fee, insurance, health and some other fees. Are all these fee summed up to give #8450,which is the new tuition fee or payment for insurance and the likes are separate? Thank you as I awaits an insider response on this matter |

salford: If i was in your shoes i.e in my opinion. Firstly, I would go to a province that gives PR easily just because you studied there, then move if i have to later after i get a canadian passport since provincial nomination usually ties one down to a province. What is the point of getting a job after so much trouble in a bigger province, but still cant get PR and eventually leave the country?
Concerning jobs, there would be IT jobs in Manitoba too although not as half as much as BC, but competition for jobs or coop placement won't be as stiff as BC.
Also, you have to consider the fact that lots of jobs in a province doesn't mean its easier to get a job there due to high competition. I read a similar post by wellendowed on the Australian thread and another one on the US threads. Same applies in UK too. lots of jobs in london but easier to get jobs in smaller cities. I have seen international students working in some jobs in Winnipeg, whereas PR and citizens would be grateful to God if they are able to secure such jobs in Calgary. There are exceptions though, some jobs are located only in particular places like oil fields jobs that don't offer fly in/fly out or some specialized jobs like investment banking careers.
Note: coop jobs are not guaranteed by colleges or university. They post jobs on behalf of employers then you would have to go through the employer's competitive screening and interview process. When some companies take on a coop student, the student has a good chance of staying on with the company after grad, so they want the very best student(s); therefore, the student would be interviewed thoroughly as a future staff.
You would have to check the BC immigration page to find out chances of securing PR after grad. Provinces have different requirements. I know in manitoba, it doesnt matter if you have a dip, degree or msc, your chances of pr are still very high but some provinnces prefers people with higher qualifications for their pr programs.
For a career in IT, I would recommend diploma since its more hands on. Good, I need help please. Will a pgdc courses (probably two one year course duration back to back) be a good one? Like I have done my research on New Brunswick Community College and I think they have a cheap tuition, so I'm considering doing a year post graduate diploma program there and later move to Manitoba for another one year program to secure a three years pgwp and key in to Manitoba pr advantage. What about this brother? |

Aringon: Somebody should send these Bible verses to the old man
Matthew 1:23 - “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
Isaiah 9:6 - For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
John 1:1-3 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made... 1:14 - And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
John 20:28 - And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!”
Acts 20:28 - (God purchased us with His own blood) Revelation 1:5-6; Revelation 5:8-9 - (Jesus' blood purchased us)
Titus 2:13 - looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ
Hebrews 2:17-18 - “Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.” Oga Pastor what can you say about these verses in your holy book? Bible says that God is not man ‘God is not a man’ (Numbers 23:19) ‘For I am God, and not man’ (Hosea 11:9) Jesus is called a man many times in the Bible ‘a man who has told you the truth’ (John 8:40) ‘Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know.’ (Acts 2:22) ‘He will judge the world in righteousness through a man whom He has appointed’ (Acts 17:31) Any justification for all these contradictions? I'm more than sure you can not win this argument, your holy book is never perfect and will never be so y are u ranting upandan? |

yemdogg: Now that part 12 is here.....
No more refusals or delays,
No more admission rejections,
Most importantly, in this new part, God will take away the spirit and the temptation of submitting forged documents and misrepresentation. Whether mistake or deliberate !
We shall receive plenty of good news in this part.
For those who are about to apply, please do not rush to submit. Take your time, gather and arrange your documents meticulously, seek a 2nd and 3rd opinion about every decision you take regarding your study permit application. When people tell you their opinion, listen and reflect on them. Don't be clouded by your sentiments. It takes you nowhere.
For those who have succeeded in securing their study permit, please and please don't run away, stay and pick up your brothers and sisters. We need you now more than ever.
Justwise, thesoj, MichV, Folaroyal, penitential, osemigho, Austinpee4 and others that I didn't mention, God bless you yafunyafun for your persistency and consistency and your unquenchable drive to always assist and provide support for new members. I am proud of you all. Ameen, I love this piece. It's a new thread with new wonderful testimonies |

Curlie: Good day all.
I am expecting my admission from Uni of New Brunswick any moment from now. Specifically, i applied for Bsc Accounting.
I am 35yrs married with 2kids. I have HND Accounting (Distinction) and have banking work experience of over 8yrs, voluntarily resigned last year. University of New Brunswick will let me finish d degree program in 2yrs and i may do a MBA right after. I plan to go with my 2 kids while hubby will stay back working in Nigeria. He'll be our sponsor.
Pls advise me on how to go about applying for the student visa. Do I need an agent to help put together my application, do i apply with the kids and hubby or the kids alone or as a single application? What are my chances.
Hubby plans to provide a POF of 40mil, is this good enough?
Kindly advise me on how to go about this. Thanks all I think your best bet will be a credit transfer(a kind of d. e program we do here) to a university in Canada, some universities accept that, I'm aware university of Manitoba do if it's not more than 10yrs u left school, you can mail the school for a more precise info on that |

abdulkabirtobi: As part of efforts to ease the mounting foreign exchange challenges in the country, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) will soon increase the disbursement of forex to meet demands for payment of school fees for Nigerian students abroad, medical expenses, personal and business travel allowances. LEADERSHIP Weekend gathered yesterday that the apex bank will henceforth give weekly allocations of $1million to Deposit Money Banks (DMB) in the country, while the banks would be expected to sell to their customers at the rate of N375 per dollar. The National Economic Council (NEC) had on Thursday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, urged the CBN to immediately review the exchange policy. Council members had expressed concern over the current situation of the exchange rate and called for an urgent review of the forex policy, especially the gap between inter-bank’s and the parallel market’s rates. A reliable source in CBN told LEADERSHIP Weekend yesterday that the apex bank is currently perfecting plans to effect weekly allocations of $1million for the DMB. In recent times, the CBN, in meeting the dollar demand of the country, particularly for sectors that are crucial to economic growth and development, had regularly sold foreign exchange at the forwards end of the interbank market to clear the backlog. Last month, the apex bank sold $660 million in three- and five- month currency forwards at an auction. Banks were asked to bid in a special currency auction targeted at clearing backlog of dollar obligations of manufacturing, airlines, agriculture and petroleum sector. This was the first major dollar sales to the key sector by the CBN this year in a bid to spur growth and revive the nation’s economy, which slipped into recession last year due to currency crisis necessitated by drop in global oil prices. The CBN during the week had released the total amount of dollar allocation to customers in December last year and January this year. Together, banks in the country had sold $2.83 billion for utilization in the critical sectors of the economy such as manufacturing, agriculture, raw materials, aviation, petroleum products amongst others in line with the 60:40 foreign exchange policy. The CBN under the new 60:40 foreign exchange policy prioritises forex sales to manufacturers, agriculture, plant and machinery, critical raw materials, among others, and requires banks to publish on a weekly basis the volume and value of foreign exchange that they sell, who they sell it to and for what purpose. The banks, having sourced their foreign exchange from the CBN, International Oil Companies (IOCs) and other autonomous sources allocate it to their customers based on the 60:40 basis after it has been verified that the foreign exchange is not to be used for any of the 41 items that has been removed from the eligible forex list. According to the apex bank, priority was given to manufacturing, raw material and agriculture above other demands as its disbursements are targeted at employment generating and wealth creating sectors of the economy. Bureau de Change (BDC) operators also receive $50,000 weekly allocation from the proceeds of International Money Transfer (IMT) in an effort to reduce the pressure on the naira at the BDC end of the forex market. While the BDCs get dollars at N381 to the dollar, they sell to customers who present their documentations at rates between N399 and N400 to the dollar. Although allowing BDCs to access IMT forex proceeds had stabilised the price of the dollar at that end of the market, the challenge still lingers at the parallel (black) market where the value of the naira has decline to N515 to the dollar. I think this should bring back our Form A, a good one here |
