PROPHET MUHAMMAD (pbuh) IN THE BIBLE
by Dr. Zakir Naik
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the Old Testament:
The Qur’an mentions in Surah Al-Araf chapter 7 verse 157:
"Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they
find mentioned in their own (scriptures) in the law and the Gospel".
1. MUHAMMAD (PBUH) PROPHESISED IN THE BOOK OF
DEUTERONOMY:
Almighty God speaks to Moses in Book of Deuteronomy
chapter 18 verse 18:
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like
unto thee, and I will put my words in his mouth; and he
shall speak unto them all that I shall command him."
The Christians say that this prophecy refers to Jesus (pbuh)
because Jesus (pbuh) was like Moses (pbuh). Moses (pbuh)
was a Jew, as well as Jesus (pbuh) was a Jew. Moses (pbuh)
was a Prophet and Jesus (pbuh) was also a Prophet.
If these two are the only criteria for this prophecy to be
fulfilled, then all the Prophets of the Bible who came after
Moses (pbuh) such as Solomon, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel,
Hosea, Joel, Malachi, John the Baptist, etc. (pbut) will
fulfill this prophecy since all were Jews as well as prophets.
However, it is Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) who is like Moses
(pbuh):
i) Both had a father and a mother, while Jesus (pbuh) was
born miraculously without any male intervention.
[Mathew 1:18 and Luke 1:35 and also Al-Qur'an 3:42-47]
ii) Both were married and had children. Jesus (pbuh)
according to the Bible did not marry nor had children.
iii) Both died natural deaths. Jesus (pbuh) has been raised up
alive. (4:157-158)
Muhammad (pbuh) is from among the brethren of Moses
(pbuh). Arabs are brethren of Jews. Abraham (pbuh) had two
sons: Ishmail and Isaac (pbut). The Arabs are the
descendants of Ishmail (pbuh) and the Jews are the
descendants of Isaac (pbuh).
Words in the mouth:
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was unlettered and whatever
revelations he received from Almighty God he repeated them
verbatim.
"I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like
unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall
speak unto them all that I shall command him."
[Deuteronomy 18:18]
iv) Both besides being Prophets were also kings i.e. they could
inflict capital punishment. Jesus (pbuh) said, "My
kingdom is not of this world." (John 18:36).
v) Both were accepted as Prophets by their people in their
lifetime but Jesus (pbuh) was rejected by his
people. John chapter 1 verse 11 states, "He came unto his
own, but his own received him not."
iv) Both brought new laws and new regulations for their
people. Jesus (pbuh) according to the Bible did not bring
any new laws. (Mathew 5:17-18) .
2. It is Mentioned in the book of Deuteronomy chapter 18:19
"And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not harken
unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will
require it of him."
3. Muhammad (pbuh) is prophesised in the book of Isaiah:
It is mentioned in the book of Isaiah chapter 29 verse 12:
"And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying,
Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned."
When Archangel Gabrail commanded Muhammad (pbuh) by
saying Iqra - "Read", he replied, "I am not learned" .
4. prophet Muhammad (pbuh) mentioned by name in the old
testament:
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is mentioned by name in the Song
of Solomon chapter 5 verse 16:
" Hikko Mamittakim we kullo Muhammadim Zehdoodeh wa
Zehraee Bayna Jerusalem ."
"His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely. This is
my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters
of Jerusalem."
In the Hebrew language im is added for respect. Similarely im
is added after the name of Prophet Muhammad
(pbuh) to make it Muhammadim. In English translation they
have even translated the name of Prophet Muhammad
(pbuh) as "altogether lovely", but in the Old Testament in
Hebrew, the name of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is yet
present.
Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the New Testament:
Al-Qur'an Chapter 61 Verse 6:
"And remember, Jesus, the son of Mary, said, 'O Children of Israel! I
am the messenger of Allah (sent) to you, confirming the Law (which
came) before me and giving glad tidings of a messenger to come
after me, whose name shall be Ahmed.' But when he came to them
with clear signs, they said, 'This is evident sorcery!' "
All the prophecies mentioned in the Old Testament regarding
Muhammad (pbuh) besides applying to the Jews also hold good for
the Christians.
1. John chapter 14 verse 16:
"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another
Comforter, that he may abide with you forever."
2. Gospel of John chapter 15 verse 26:
"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you
from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which
proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me."
3. Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 7:
"Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I
go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not
come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you".
"Ahmed" or "Muhammad" meaning "the one who praises" or
"the praised one" is almost the translation of the
Greek word Periclytos. In the Gospel of John 14:16, 15:26, and
16:7. The word 'Comforter' is used in the English
translation for the Greek word Paracletos which means
advocate or a kind friend rather than a comforter.
Paracletos is the warped reading for Periclytos. Jesus (pbuh)
actually prophesised Ahmed by name. Even the
Greek word Paraclete refers to the Prophet (pbuh) who is a
mercy for all creatures.
Some Christians say that the Comforter mentioned in these
prophecies refers to the Holy Sprit. They fail to realise
that the prophecy clearly says that only if Jesus (pbuh)
departs will the Comforter come. The Bible states that the
Holy Spirit was already present on earth before and during the
time of Jesus (pbuh), in the womb of Elizabeth, and again
when Jesus (pbuh) was being baptised, etc. Hence this
prophecy refers to none other than Prophet
Muhammad (pbuh).
4. Gospel of John chapter 16 verse 12-14:
"I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear
them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth is
come, he will guide you unto all truth: for he shall not speak of
himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak:
and he will shew you things to come. He shall glorify me".
The Sprit of Truth, spoken about in this prophecy referes to none
other than Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
NOTE : All quotations of the Bible are taken from the King James
Version.

U CAN SEE THAT BACA WAS MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE LOOK AT THE POST ABOVE AND BACA IS THE ANCIENT NAME OF MECCA LET ME GIVE U EVIDENCE FROM THE LARGEST ENCYCLOPEDIA WEBSITE www.en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bakkah
Bakkah (Arabic: بكة‎) is an ancient name for Mecca, the most holy city of Islam.[1] Most people believe they are synonyms, but to Muslim scholars there is a distinction: Bakkah refers to the Kaaba and the sacred site immediately surrounding it, while Mecca is the name of the city in which they are both located.[2]

According to Lisan Al Arab of Ibn Manzor, the site of Kaaba and its surroundings was named Bakkah due to crowding and congestion of people in the area. The Arabic verb bakka (بكَّ), with double "k", means to crowd like in a bazaar. This is not to be confused with another unrelated Arabic verb baka (بَكَى)(single k) which is the past participle of yabki (يَبْكِي), to cry.

Bakkah is mentioned in sura 3 (Al-i-Imran), ayah 96 of the Qur'an, where it is said to be the site of the first place of worship.[3][4][5].............SOURCE........WIKIPEDIA THIS IS THE LINK www.en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bakkah

IslamRe: Islam And The Abuse Of The Girl Child? by Abdulsalam20(m): 9:49am On Aug 30, 2014
Now some may object to this saying how could the
Prophet marry Aisha at such a young age. One must
first understand that 1400 years ago was very
different than now, times have changed and so have
humans. 1400 years ago it was something very
common to marry young girls, in fact they were not
considered young girls, rather they were considered
young women back then. It is a historic fact that
girls from the ages of 9 to 14 were being married in
Europe, Asia, and Africa, in fact even in the United
States girls at the age of 10 were also being married
just more than a century ago.
Yet with these facts no historian claims that all
these people were sick perverts, historians would
call anyone who made such a claim to be arrogant
and very stupid who has no grasp or understanding
of history.
Furthermore as to the prophets Marriage with
Aisha, something people will notice is that the
completion of the marriage was done when Aisha
was 9 years old, not when she was 6, and there is a
reason for that. The reason why this happened is
because Aisha had been through puberty by the age
of 9, and in Islam a female who under-goes puberty
is considered a lady and is fit for marriage. Now
some may say how does a girl go through puberty at
the age of 9? :
When does puberty start? Although puberty
usually starts between ages 8 to 13 in girls , it may
start earlier or later. Everyone's body changes at a
different time. Whether you have breasts at age 10
or have not started your period by age 14, do not
worry. Everyone goes through puberty eventually.
cnoteShowLfts.asp?fname=07103&title=PUBERTY
+IN+GIRLS+&cid=HTHLTH )
So note, a period for a girl occurs from the age of 8
to 14, though this is not always the case as a girl
can also start her period by 14 or maybe 15.
However so for Aisha it is most likely her puberty
started at 8, and continued till she was 9, and once
she was going through puberty and her menses, this
made her a lady and not a girl anymore since she
was fit for a baby therefore she is no child
anymore.
In fact early symptoms of a girl going through
puberty is described as:
You may get PMS. PMS or "premenstrual
syndrome" is a group of changes you may see and
feel before your period. You may have headaches,
dizziness, or feel sick to your stomach before your
period. You may feel like crying more, feel a little
sad, and feel more emotional about everything. PMS
may cause you to retain (hold onto) water.
Retaining water means that your body tries to keep
more body fluid in before and during your period.
This may make your breasts tender and cause you
to feel bloated, restless, or grumpy.
If we read the hadiths, we find that right before
Aisha got married off to the prophet that she was
sick and not feeling to well:
Sahih Bukhari Volume 5, Book 58, Number 234:
Narrated Aisha:
The Prophet engaged me when I was
a girl of six (years). We went to
Medina and stayed at the home of
Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Then I
got ill and my hair fell down. Later
on my hair grew (again) and my
mother, Um Ruman, came to me
while I was playing in a swing with
some of my girl friends. She called
me, and I went to her, not knowing
what she wanted to do to me. She
caught me by the hand and made me
stand at the door of the house. I was
breathless then, and when my
breathing became Allright, she took
some water and rubbed my face and
head with it. Then she took me into
the house. There in the house I saw
some Ansari women who said, "Best
wishes and Allah's Blessing and a
good luck." Then she entrusted me to
them and they prepared me (for the
marriage). Unexpectedly Allah's
Apostle came to me in the forenoon
and my mother handed me over to
him, and at that time I was a girl of
nine years of age.
So as we can see, Aisha got ill and her body
was going through some changes, indicating
that she was going through her puberty. In fact
during puberty a girl will want to be away
from her family, meaning her mother and
father:
Want to be away from your family: During puberty, you
may want to spend most of your time with friends instead
of family members. You may feel embarrassed by your
family or parents. You may feel like your parents have no
idea what you are going through during puberty. It is
normal for you to want to be with and dress like your
friends most of the time. Just remember that sometime
your family may be a better support for you than your
friends. ( http://www.healthtouch.com/bin/EContent_HT/
cnoteShowLfts.asp?fname=07103&title=PUBERTY+IN
+GIRLS+&cid=HTHLTH )
Aisha had no problems when she moved in with the
Prophet, nor did she show signs of distress from
being away from her mother or father, rather she
was very happy, obviously not the type of emotion
you would get from a supposed child now would
you? A child will want to be with its mother and
father, and if it is taken away from them it will cry
a lot and will be very distressed, yet no such signs
were shown from Aisha.
So therefore as we can see, there was nothing
wrong with the marriage, Aisha was going through
puberty, she was fit to have a child, meaning she
was not a child anymore, and under God a lady
who goes through puberty is officially considered fit
for marriage, this is something that many Christians
agree on as do the Jews.
2- Was the Prophet a paedophile?
(astaghfurillah may God curse those who call the prophet such
a name!)
Now what is a paedophile?
http://www.polfed.org/
magazine/08_2001/80_2001_paedophile.htm
"Low self esteem. Many pedophiles, although by no means
all, do not have a great sense of capacity for adopting a
sexual demeanor towards adults or those of their own age
or older. They feel unhappy and fearful at the prospect of
sexual behaviour with adults and hence turn to children
due to the fact that they are unable to have the strength of
personality to seek adults for sexual demeanor. When
considering treatment therefore it is important to
establish and develop a higher sense of self-esteem in such
individuals."

Early marriages are originally recommended for Muslims; it
is healthy and helps for chastity. Delay of marriages is very
helpful for the Shaytan. When a girl reaches the level of
maturity (physically and psychologically), it is
recommended to marry them off as soon as possible.
One of the main aim of encouraging early marriage is to
preserve the chastity of our youths. Allah has created
human beings with sexual desires. As such, when a boy or
girl reaches puberty and develop sexual organs, the best,
the very best the parent can do is to prepare them for a life
of responsibility, marital life.
The urge for sex can be very strong, especially in
adolescence and in most cases, it (the urge) must be
satisfied, either in a halal way or in a haram way. The
desire for such satisfaction has made young boys and girls
engage in actions that are unthinkable. Vibrators and other
intimacy gadgets are everywhere in our neighborhood.
That said, no one need to tell you how rampant pre-marital
sex is in our secondary schools (even before universities).
Teenage pregnancies are nothing new, and so is abortion
and the health risks those innocent girls are subjected to.
Islam has a provision for everything. Islam is for all
seasons and all reasons. There is nothing about our lives
that Allah (SWT) has not addressed in the Quran, with good
explanations from the actions and sayings of the Prophet
(pbuh).
Allah (SWT) says: “And marry such of you as are solitary
and the pious of your slaves and maid servants. If they be
poor; Allah will enrich them of His bounty. Allah is of ample
means, Aware.” [An-Nur: 32]
The father of a girl must not delay marriage of his daughter
if a proposal is received from a compatible man of equal
status who is of sound religion and character.
From the Hadith of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)
The Prophet (pbuh) said: “Three matters should not be
delayed: prayer when its time comes, burial when the
funeral has arrived, and the marriage of a single woman
when a well-suited man has proposed.” [Tirmidhi]
Why should you delay marriages then?
The Prophet (pbuh) addressed the youths encouraging
them to get married as soon as they are capable of
shouldering the responsipility of marriage saying:
“O youth! Whoever amongst you is able to marry, let him
marry, because it helps him keep his eyes away from
lustful looks and preserve his chastity. And whoever is not
able to marry, let him observe fasting, as it is a shield for
him (i.e. protection from lapsing in fornication).” [Agreed
Upon]
Early marriage doesn’t mean that the spouses could be not
mature and responsible, the Qur’an hints saying:
“If you find them of sound judgement.” (An-Nisa': 6) That
means puberty or marriageable age is not enough to be
qualified for marriage. If a son is capable to run a
household life and he is able to maitain mentally,
psychologically and financially and everything of his wife,
then early marriage is the only way to keep our children
away from haram.
In this context, Dr. Muhammad Sa`eed Hawwa, professor
of Shari`ah at the University of Mu’tah, Jordan, states:
“Early marriage is recommended as long as the
requirements of marriage are met including the ability of
each of the spouses to fulfill his marital duties and protect
his/her partner against temptation. The husband should
also be able to shoulder the financial responsibilities at the
sufficiency level. There is no specific age for marriage
according to Shari`ah but the criterion is the capability of
both spouses.”
Among the benefits of early marriages is that “Married
couples perform better at school or university and are
more emotionally stable than singles. Also, living together
with one’s wife will cost one much less than if each one of
them lived separately. The benefits of early marriage are
extreme and it is highly encouraged in Islam if both of
spouses are mature and responsible, and if the husband
can support the family on the financial side.”
Most people confuse early marriage with the marriage of a
girl who is not capable (what some refer to underage
marriage). I believe there is a difference between the two.
The reference in Quran 4:6 has stated RUSHD (intellect) as
a vital condition for a girl to be married.
Allah knows best.

IslamCharging Interest Encouraged Or Forbidden by Abdulsalam20(op): 8:28pm On Aug 29, 2014
Someone strand! Hungry! Broke! Needy! And Helpless! He/
She works up to you for h
Only for you to add more pains to his injury..How?
You borrowed someone #4000 for example, and in return,
you want him or her to pay #8000……
Are you doing such fellow a favour or harm? I won’t rather
wait for a debate on this; you are simply doing more harm
than good!
Sometimes ago, there was a proposal for "Islamic
Banking"…………
No one ever took their time to really confirm the real idea
behind this proposal…….
Now, what does Islamic Banking got in stock? To eradicate
interest taking and behold! if interest could stop, corruption
is half way reduced, this also cut across Bribing which is
basically one of the major root to Corruption…
What then were the problem of C.A.N to oppose that idea of
Islamic Banking which in reality could stop the collection of
interest?
No doubt; it was an obvious reaction showing their hatred for
Islam…….
Yet, the problem of Austerity and Bailout continues…………
Well, I won’t say much in personal view; as I urged both
Muslims and
every reasonable Christians to please examine the position of
the Scriptures on Interest taking, and perhaps Bribery.
------------SHARIA LAW ON INTEREST TAKING AND
BRIBERY--------------
Surah, Al- Imran {3:130} “O ye who believed! Devour not
usury, doubling and quadrupling (the sum lent). Observe
your duty to Allah, that ye may be successful.”
Another message is repeated in:
Surah, Al-Baqara {2:188} “And eat not up your property
among yourselves in vanity, nor seek by it to gain the
hearing of the
judges that ye may knowingly devour a portion of the
property of others wrongfully.”
What does the Christian book has to say concerning Interest
and Bribery?
Is it really there in the Bible? Yes! Why is C.A.N against it? I
don’t know………..
Then, they are the Biggest Anti-Christ that I have ever
seen…………..
Exodus 23:8 "And thou shalt take no bribe: for a bribe
blindeth them that have sight, and ruins the cause of those
who are the
righteous.” Warning against Bribery!
What about Interest? Let’s examine this verse again:
Exodus 22:25 “If thou lend money to any of my people with
thee that is poor, thou shalt not be to him as a creditor;
neither shall ye lay upon him interest.”
Similar message is also repeated in the Book of
Deuteronomy:
Deuteronomy 23:19 "Thou shalt not lend upon interest to thy
brother; interest of money, interest of victuals, interest of
anything that is lent upon interest.”
Now, am asking again; why did the Church fathers in Nigeria
called C.A.N detest all of these?
Crisis everyday, everywhere: we keep reading and watching
on TV every day, No one ever ask the cause………….
Walahi! I swear by the one that my life is in His hand, they
are the biggest problem we have in this country……….
We shall expose them even though they are the Government,
they are the Media, they are the dominance in the
Judiciary………….
But; that’s not an achievement! Not a ticket to Paradise!
At the end, we shall all account for our actions……… Death is
near! They either fall back to Allah, or get Ruined and even
face the torment of Fire……!!!!!!!
WE WON'T RELENT, IN SHA Allah………… SALAAM ALEAKUM
TO ALL MY LOVELY BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN
ISLAM……….

truthman2012: Thank you.

But the fact remains that a blow on a pregnant woman is an accident, not that bible authorizes abortion.

truthman2012: What is the definition of abortion? It is wilful removal of an unwanted pregnancy. But here it is said if it is aborted by blows. It means it is inadvertently removed by blows, therefore this cannot fall under abortion as the woman does not give her consent for the removal of the pregnancy.
