Why all the concern about facts and fact-checking? Because, among the whirl of our feelings, there is a desire for our beliefs to be
rational, to have support from the facts.

Your guess is as good as mine.
There are reports that the Camerounian Army conducted an Artillery bombardment of the town of Banki, killing 17 BH 2 days ago.

Of course our military will never report such because it would mean losing face.

The very same question I asked when they were parroting the negotiation foolishness.

Who do you negotiate with, BH, ISWAP or ISIS?

Before BH will listen to you, ISIS has to okay it, then the west african command authorizes the nigerian commanders to meet with Govt. Else nothing for you.

If buhari and his people don't know that, then they are every inch the names the opposition calls them.

PoliticsJulius Agwu Stranded By Air Nigeria Closure In USA by abe4kom(op): 7:04pm On Sep 07, 2012
Comedian Julius Agwu is lamenting about his current situation – he is trapped in the US, no thanks to Jimoh Ibrahim and the recently defunt Air Nigeria.

Agwu says he flew with Air Nigeria from Nigeria to London for his ‘Crack Ya Ribs‘ show which was held on August 26, 2012 at the plush Lighthouse Hall, Camberwell but cannot return to Nigeria now because the airline has abruptly shut down services.

The owner of the airline, Jimoh Ibrahim, had on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 announced a one-year suspension of all activities of the airline and terminated the employment of all its staff, sparing only 50.

The usually lively comedian took to micro-blogging website Twitter to complain bitterly;

https://dailypost.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2012/09/Julius-agwu-twts.jpg
Is it a Crime to support nigerian bizness, we flew AirNig to Lond, now we can’t return cos #JimohIbrahimOFR ordered a closure GEJ #WHY?☹’, @JuliusAgwu1 tweeted.

‘#JimohIbrahimOFR #JimohIbrahimOFR #JimohIbrahimOFR #JimohIbrahimOFR #JimohIbrahimOFR GEJ#WHYhuh??’, he continued

Agwu then asked for the suspension to commence after his return to the country. ‘#JimohIbrahimOFR… Postpone ur closure until after our return o!!!! #NaijaBizness‘.

The on-going ‘Crack Ya Ribs’ show is however going on smoothly; after staging concerts in London and New York, Agwu and his crew will be going live on stage in Houston on Saturday, September 8, 2012.

leslieu63: I feel so honored to be the third comment. All of
my hardwork and dedication has paid off.
Getting the top comment has been a dream of
mine for many years, and I would like to thank
those who have helped me along the way. First
and foremost I would like to thank God for
giving me this opportunity. Next I would like to
thank my parents. I want to thank my dogs
wizkid and bingo, for being really fat and always there for
me. Next I would like to thank the squirrel dbanj that
lives in my backyard for climbing trees because
that gives me inspiration that I need to get
through the day. This is a special moment in my
life and I would like to thank any of my
unmentioned friends and family that have
helped me along the way. This moment will be a
moment that I will never forget. I just
remembered a few other people I would like to
thank; facebook, nairialand, my girlfriends and sugar mummies, the fish I caught in the third
grade, my light in my room because I wouldn’t
be able to see the keyboard without it, the
internet for letting me go on facebook, my
house because without it I would be homeless,
and last but not least I would like to thank all
the people out there that actually took time out
of their day to read this. I cannot stress how
much of a big deal to me this is. I have been
trying to be the first comment on a post for
years, but that has not been possible until this
amazing day. Hopefully my good luck will
continue, but this is undoubtedly a rare
occasion. If you asked me how I did this, I
would say, you can achieve anything that you set
your mind on. To all the kids out there reading
this, I would like to tell them to follow their
dreams. Being the top comment is amazing,
thank you everyone!
Oh man! can't stop laughing!
You brought sunshine to the drudgery of the NL news this morning.

Just deploy your Parachute tongue if on high speed.

What, no Parachute?

Not to worry, just spring out your umblerra - sorry umbrella and voila! Your car will obey.

Note: Umblerra has 2 functions:
1. Slows down the car
2. Pull you out of the car James Bond style grin but watch ya head.

A 3rd and last option: Look for the nearest police post/check point and home in on it, if the police doesnt stop the car, the car will stop the police grin grin
PoliticsEdo Pdp Exco Sacked by abe4kom(op): 6:28pm On Jul 19, 2012
Following the crushing defeat suffered by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in July 14 governorship election in Edo state, the leadership of party in the state has been given a 48-hour ultimatum to resign or face expulsion.
The ultimatum was the outcome of the stakeholders’ forum called to review the defeat of the party sine 2007.
According to the forum, the current state executive and leadership “do not have the capacity and leadership drive to lead our great party to any electoral victory which is the hallmark of the existence of a political party in any political system.”
A statement signed by Kamin Bello Asunogie,a lawyer, called on the national executive of the party to constitute an interim committee to oversee the affairs of the party in the state pending when congresses will be held to elect new officers.
Besides, the statement also called on the national body of PDP to institute a probe panel to investigate the funding and finances of the party in the state in the last three years.
The statement further called on PDP national body and the federal government to disregard any list of nomination to federal boards or any appointment by the present leadership of the party in the state, “as they have failed to represent the interest and wishes of the Edo PDP members,” which the forum believed led to the result of July 14 election had clearly shown to Nigerians.
The forum therefore appealed to members of the party who had defected to other parties in the state to return and join effort in rebuilding the party, saying that an all-embracing stakeholders’ meeting of the party would hold in Benin Monday next week to chart a new chapter for the party.
In a swift reaction to the statement, Edo state PDP Director of Publicity and Strategy, Okharedia Ehimekpen, dismissed the authors of the statement as unknown members of the party who have either defected to the ACN or expelled by the PDP.
“Those who signed the statement are people who defected to the ACN and worked against the PDP after collecting money,” he said, and explained that the party “remains focused and resolved.”
He further explained that the action of the authors of the statement was not one of the ways PDP disciplines its erring members, adding that the party has laid down constitutional methods of handling issues.

Politics46 Explosive Devices Recovered In Kogi by abe4kom(op): 10:01pm On Jul 16, 2012
By Premium Times
In Okene, Kogi State, the police recovered explosive devices
Police in Kogi on Monday announced the recovery of 46 Improvised Explosive Devices, and the arrest of a suspect from a residential building during an overnight operation.

The Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Katsina, told newsmen in Lokoja that the recovery was made in Okaito area when a man suspected to have detonated the explosives near a church in Okene on Sunday.
He described the building as “an intriguing and disgusting deceit.”

According to him, two of the rooms in the four-bedroom apartment had been converted to a mosque and a church.

Among the items recovered from the building are copies of the Holy Quran and a Bible, a cross, a bell, a candle receptacle and a portrait of Jesus Christ.

Others items are a book entitled: “Islamism and Satanism; Unveiling the Truth ‘’ written by one Answarullah; other religious publications; and books," Katsina said.

Fifteen capacitors, 15 fuses, one electric detonator with capacity to detonate objects within metres range, five litres of raw acid and roll of firing cables, were also recovered.

Others comprise 250 mm detonating cord, 25 kg of ammonium nitrate, three pieces of handheld phones, a box of nails and 54 ammunitions of 5.56 calibres.

He praised the people living around the church, the target of Sunday's failed exercise, for their gallantry and ‘adequate response’ when the bomb was detonated.

Mr. Katsina urged landlords to be wary of their tenants.
