ciwi: No need to update it since the end goal for the update is an ITA and he has gotten said ITA without the update. He should just accept it. With the current trends and upcoming changes by November, I wouldn’t risk it. There’s a possibility that IRCC may pause EE draws to sync up NOC codes so your friend should not waste time. |

Hello House, A question on POF please. We have some funds (about the required POF) saved up in crypo wallets and foreign stocks but my husband will never agree to liquidate them because they are more of long-term positions and he wouldn’t want us to sell while the market is down. On the other hand, he’s resuming a new job next week and the new job is giving him an upfront amount (which exceeds POF) as car benefit. The car benefit is part of his annual compensation but spread over 3 years. Our plan was to use this money and put it in a local fixed deposit account. My fear is that it may raise red flags since the FD account is an account we haven’t used in years. For context, we stopped investing in Naira due to the currency volatility. So my question is: what’s the best way to present this inflow without raising issues on my application? (I’m the primary applicant) |

Chidoo1234: I added an additional degree to my BSC evaluation report as well. Instead of paying fee for a new evaluation, you pay CAD 100 for re-assessment or something. The report will still show that your initial assessment was done in 2019 so the initial expiry date would still apply. Stating this based on my experience. |

CountVersailles: Create a religion thread to educate people then if you’re so passionate about this. It’s tiring that you guys derail the thread by making posts like this. You’ve made so many assumptions about someone you don’t even know. It’s distasteful 13 Likes |

CountVersailles: It’s not very respectful to latch on people’s words and critique their religious beliefs. Yes, it’s a public forum and you’re allowed to hold an opinion but not every opinion must be expressed. Those living in this Canada sef will not dare do this to a work colleague! Someone was sacked at my brother’s workplace in Vancouver for something like this. We can be respectful and not derail the thread every time you people see “Jesus” or “God”. 11 Likes |

The money we want to use for POF is a car benefit (cash) from my husband’s new job. It is not a loan but more of an annual lump sum the company is giving him. If he were to resign before 3 years, he’d have to pay back the unearned portion to the company. Let’s say we get ITA in October and the money comes in around that time. Do you think we should use it for POF? My fear is that in providing the source of the funds, the 3 year condition may be misinterpreted. |

Hello people, I submitted my EE profile yesterday even though my husband’s WES evaluation report isn’t out yet. Does anyone know how many additional points I’d get for his BSC? I know spousal education contributes up to 10 points but I don’t know if I’d get the entire 10 points as his evaluation will yield one BSc degree. Does anyone have an idea? |

Good day House, I am completing my EE profile and need a quick clarification on work experience. My husband worked at a particular company for 7 continuous years but was getting promoted every year and even though the NOC code is the same, he crossed into management bucket like 2 years ago. Do I need to separate the experience or can I lump it together and indicate his most recent title as the job title? Also, he’s currently in a job that has another NOC code at a separate company but he’s not spent up to 1 year there. Can I include this current job as well? Kindly advise, thank you. |

Quick question house: I’m preparing my EE profile and my current NOC code is a role I just got promoted to mid last year but I have more experience in another NOC. The portal only allows for one NOC. Should I put my current NOC and choose the date I qualified to work in that NOC as when I started working or when I got promoted to that new NOC code? |

Prettiepearlz: Thank you sis. I was very worried about my speaking because I was nervous in the moment and didn’t speak like my normal self. We’re both financial consultants/advisors in terms of NOC. In his own case, he has 7 years in external audit and only just crossed to financial advisory. I have 7+ years as well but all in financial advisory. I’ll check out which ones might be in demand and we’ll go from there. Thanks for the tip on positioning for provincial nomination. 2 Likes |

aestake: Then go start a religion thread. This is just as obnoxious as those who preach in buses and it’s ironic that you don’t see that. You’re speaking to full grown adults here and imposing your “superior” view on them. Let’s keep sensitive topics such as religion, tribe or politics off this thread. This is a safe space for people to share their immigration stories or successes and let them thank God or whoever else they feel contributed while sharing it. Let’s stay on course please. 21 Likes 1 Share |
