Guys pls a friend just logged on to his profile and discovered than he didn’t transmit an update (correction of test date result on his TRF) that he made on his profile last week. He has received ITA. should he go ahead and accept?

No need to update it since the end goal for the update is an ITA and he has gotten said ITA without the update. He should just accept it. With the current trends and upcoming changes by November, I wouldn’t risk it. There’s a possibility that IRCC may pause EE draws to sync up NOC codes so your friend should not waste time.

Thank you, I’ll read about that. I’m a bit skeptical about sending money to a relative to send back to us but I’ll look into it.

Hello House,

A question on POF please. We have some funds (about the required POF) saved up in crypo wallets and foreign stocks but my husband will never agree to liquidate them because they are more of long-term positions and he wouldn’t want us to sell while the market is down.

On the other hand, he’s resuming a new job next week and the new job is giving him an upfront amount (which exceeds POF) as car benefit. The car benefit is part of his annual compensation but spread over 3 years. Our plan was to use this money and put it in a local fixed deposit account. My fear is that it may raise red flags since the FD account is an account we haven’t used in years. For context, we stopped investing in Naira due to the currency volatility. So my question is: what’s the best way to present this inflow without raising issues on my application? (I’m the primary applicant)

Anyone please? My seniors, e jo.

Score 497
ITAs 4250

Fingers crossed.

I’m also expecting 4,250 ITAs to be issued and then maxed at that level. Fingers crossed that I get an ITA today.

Pls someone should help me, my Wes was in 2019 only BSC, I want to add my masters degree to it, if accessed, will it still expire in 2024, who those if unilag sends transcript through mail? Pls help

I added an additional degree to my BSC evaluation report as well. Instead of paying fee for a new evaluation, you pay CAD 100 for re-assessment or something. The report will still show that your initial assessment was done in 2019 so the initial expiry date would still apply. Stating this based on my experience.

Normally wouldn't even have any issues with it. What gets me worried is how they make it sound improbable to accomplish just by having regular human perseverance. I know some of them will still come for this post and say "how is it your own problem? What concerns you with another person's way of attributing wins". What concerns me? Because that's the major reason you guys end up putting these pastors (who help you see the visions) on a pedestal, such that they can nearly dictate anything to you and you will do it, including dictating to you which husband to marry or which husband they saw in a vision for you. Then because you have always felt you owed your success to them or to their preaching or to what they tell you, you can't help not following the commands they issue.

Meanwhile, all over the world, there are people perservering in different fields and achieving great things without having to douse it with Jesus's approval or support, much less a pastor's approval.

I can easily imagine OP will go to church and do thanksgiving, effectively crediting their pastor and their church with an achievement that would have been impossible had he himself given up.

I know many of you still won't see the sense in the post sha. But it's okay. You will be fine. The first step is leaving that box they've constructed around you in Nigeria.

Create a religion thread to educate people then if you’re so passionate about this. It’s tiring that you guys derail the thread by making posts like this. You’ve made so many assumptions about someone you don’t even know. It’s distasteful

I wonder why that is necessary. The way you guys attribute common human perseverance to things of the spirit and to Jesus, it just makes me wonder even if Jesus will be happy with this una behaviour sef.

It’s not very respectful to latch on people’s words and critique their religious beliefs. Yes, it’s a public forum and you’re allowed to hold an opinion but not every opinion must be expressed. Those living in this Canada sef will not dare do this to a work colleague! Someone was sacked at my brother’s workplace in Vancouver for something like this. We can be respectful and not derail the thread every time you people see “Jesus” or “God”.

The money we want to use for POF is a car benefit (cash) from my husband’s new job. It is not a loan but more of an annual lump sum the company is giving him. If he were to resign before 3 years, he’d have to pay back the unearned portion to the company. Let’s say we get ITA in October and the money comes in around that time. Do you think we should use it for POF? My fear is that in providing the source of the funds, the 3 year condition may be misinterpreted.

Is there any hope for someone with CRS 470 getting ITA soon. Loosing points in March due to age.

Good question. Is it age you’re losing points for? You can check out YouTube pages like Abroad Dream Abroad, etc. They have some timeline prediction videos.

Please which state? I don't mind paying anything I just need a new passport.

My brother-in-law did same-day passport in Taraba State. They don’t do the NIN linking yet so that (plus low demand) makes them faster. I’m sure there are other states with low traffic too.

TEF for second language proficiency scores. You could also try ATS or CIMA.

Let me give you a naughty response.
If it's by using language spoken in the country, Nigerians won't need IELTS to apply for study visa.
If it's by using language spoken in the country, China, Pakistan, Philippines ...will have no language to input as primary language.

You are only advised to use the one with the highest as primary to give you maximum points.
Don't give money to MOD/BC anymore as your IELTS result is already enough to support your TEF.

True, the French as a primary language gives her a unique edge sef. And her score of 497 is great. I’m around a similar score too

Ok , I was initially scared that since am Nigerian English should be my primary language

Use your TEF to get in the pool now. If you later get the minimum for IELTS, you can always update your profile.

Hello people, I submitted my EE profile yesterday even though my husband’s WES evaluation report isn’t out yet. Does anyone know how many additional points I’d get for his BSC? I know spousal education contributes up to 10 points but I don’t know if I’d get the entire 10 points as his evaluation will yield one BSc degree. Does anyone have an idea?

If he is the PA and you are 100% sure that the NOC is the same, it doesn't matter if you separate the experience or put them together IMO. If he crossed into management though, I would expect his NOC to change to one that starts with 0.......but maybe this is sector dependent.

If he is not the PA, he doesn't need to list his non- canadian work experience in work history because it gets him zero CRS points. Instead update it in personal history post ITA, IMO.

Include all work history contributing to CRS in work section and all other work and non-work history in personal history.

Thank you so much. He’s not the PA but your answer will help me organize my own work experience better.

Good day House,

I am completing my EE profile and need a quick clarification on work experience. My husband worked at a particular company for 7 continuous years but was getting promoted every year and even though the NOC code is the same, he crossed into management bucket like 2 years ago. Do I need to separate the experience or can I lump it together and indicate his most recent title as the job title?

Also, he’s currently in a job that has another NOC code at a separate company but he’s not spent up to 1 year there. Can I include this current job as well?

Kindly advise, thank you.

Quick question house: I’m preparing my EE profile and my current NOC code is a role I just got promoted to mid last year but I have more experience in another NOC. The portal only allows for one NOC. Should I put my current NOC and choose the date I qualified to work in that NOC as when I started working or when I got promoted to that new NOC code?

Congratulations sis! Some days back you were worried cheesy but for you IELTS done and dusted. Yeah you should be the PA. However if your husband has an occupation in demand, wouldn’t hurt to also create a profile just in case he lands a provincial NOI first. All the best!

Thank you sis. I was very worried about my speaking because I was nervous in the moment and didn’t speak like my normal self.

We’re both financial consultants/advisors in terms of NOC. In his own case, he has 7 years in external audit and only just crossed to financial advisory. I have 7+ years as well but all in financial advisory.

I’ll check out which ones might be in demand and we’ll go from there. Thanks for the tip on positioning for provincial nomination.

If religion is good and the way it is practiced is, everyone should remain in Nigeria. I'm talking about all religion! Again, I have the right to say my mind too.

Then go start a religion thread. This is just as obnoxious as those who preach in buses and it’s ironic that you don’t see that. You’re speaking to full grown adults here and imposing your “superior” view on them. Let’s keep sensitive topics such as religion, tribe or politics off this thread. This is a safe space for people to share their immigration stories or successes and let them thank God or whoever else they feel contributed while sharing it. Let’s stay on course please.
