lol @ OUTGONE LAWMAKERS oludashmi: The Ekiti state Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has called out his supporters to rejoice with him on the streets today over the expiration of the term of the 19 All Progressives Congress, APC, who had been at loggerheads to impeach him.
The APC lawmakers had on April 4, 2015 issued a notice of impeachment to Fayose, citing cases of abuse of office and gross misconduct. The lawmakers were, however, met with resistance as PDP members blocked all entry points into the state in order to avoid human and vehicular movement into the state. Finally, as their tenure ended, Fayose called on citizens to jubilate withh him. “I want to thank the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, members, commercial drivers and motorcyclists, market men and women and citizens of this state for their continued support for me while the face-off lasted.
“With the expiration of their tenure, there is relief for me and my administration, and it is now time to perform my duties as governor of the state. In view of my travail in the hands of the outgone lawmakers, reprieve has now come to my government and I can now feel like a governor.
“By tomorrow, Friday, June 5, (today) I shall be embarking on a town procession in Ado Ekiti to thank my people for their support. I want you to meet me at Fajuyi Park where I am going to commence the procession and move around to give glory to God and humanity.” Fayose said.

Celebrities › Re: Yahooze Crooner Olu Maintain Broke, Ejected From His Posh Ikeja Apartment For In by abiambo(m): 11:27am On Jun 04, 2015 |
make him sell him hummer nah, abi dat 1 sef na lie MojiDelano: Yahooze crooner Olu Maintain is broke, Mike Angelo News is reporting. So bad is the singer's situation, that he is said to have been given a quit notice by his landlord for failure to pay his house rent. This is no doubt coming as a shock considering that a little over eight years ago he was the rave of the moment, with his huge jam ‘Yahoozee’. Olumide Adegbulu aka Mr. Olu Maintain as he’s fondly called, in that song reiterated to everyone who listened that he had ‘hammered’ meaning money was no longer his problem.
Even after the Yahooze fame, Olu managed to get public attention recently with his 'Nawti' single, video for which had on display many beautiful women, and state of the art cars, leading people to believe that Olu was still living life on a Kentro level, even though the single was not as successful as 'Yahooze'.
The story for Olu Maintain has however changed and his finances has no doubt depleted. So bad is the situation that he was given marching orders by his landlord to vacate the property he resides at Akin Osiyemi street,Off Allen Avenue Ikeja, Lagos or face the wrath of the law.
You might be tempted to ask what happened to all the dollars, pounds and euro Olu Adegbulu ‘had’, while living the 'Kamakaze life on a Kentro level, leading people to believe that he had more than enough to spend and in the reserves? Well the answer like they say is blowing the wind. Olu instead of investing in property and other valuable assets which may have saved him from his current predicament preferred to live in a rented apartment. He made many circles believe that the place he calls home was actually bought by him until now that he is facing eviction orders just like D’banj.
The grapevine has it that, but for the goodwill of a kind-hearted neighbour who appeased the wrath of the men in uniform from throwing out his belongings and taking possession of the rented building since he has been unable to meet his rent obligation to his landlord, he would have been thrown on the streets like and made homeless.
How did Olu get to this level? Well, like the usual saying goes pride goes before a fall. Olu had all the opportunities in this world to be atop of his game, he’s an embodiment of style. He doesn’t smoke; drink cognac. His vice of the three common to men is womanising. He has been linked to some very hot actresses and known ladies. This of course is a story for another day.
Olu is said to have had people behind him who rallied round to support the Yahoozee album only for him to make bigger bucks and then he started to show how 'true color', thereby biting the fingers that made him. This act, according to close family source, made him loose a lot of things and has made a lot of people distant themselves from him.
Apart from this, MDB also heard from sources close to the situation that Olu has penchant for getting songs from upcoming artists and turning them into hits, promising them in return a brighter future, record deal, or even visa abroad but failing most times to fulfil his promises to these unknown talents. Perhaps, his current predicament may be as a result of Karma as well.
Here is hoping Olu learns from this experience, and changes for the better in future.

Romance › Re: 7 Things Men Do In Private, That Women Will Never Know About by abiambo(m): 10:54am On Jun 04, 2015 |
captain b u got this one right a hundred percent Captain2605: Just like women, we men do certain things privately that are exclusively known to us only. Before I go on further, I want to issue a disclaimer that the things inherent in this article is not performed or done by every man. Some men might do one or two of these things while others might have a combination of more than a few. Moreover, the ones that actually do them will hardly admit they do anyways, or will they?
Get Naked Women are known for enjoying walking around naked when they are home alone. Well, men also enjoy this. The reason for this isn’t far fetched given the fact that being unclad gives an air of freedom.
Spend Quite Sometime In The Toilet The reason we do this is majorly because we take our phones, tablets and sometimes laptop along with us to the toilet. This form of distraction makes time pass by and we barely even notice. That’s because we become enthralled with games, instant messaging and other social applications. Some of us use that time to scan dating sites in the hope that we can meet our life partners.
Watch Porn We’d never admit this but we watch quite a bit of porn in private. At times, the porn is strange to us giving the fact that we stumble on it through the numerous internet pages we surf. We find ourselves in a logjam in the adult entertainment hole and we emerge later from it with a sort of unsettled and disturbed mind based on the weird things we saw. The thoughts disturb us as we wonder if we can live up to the acting we witnessed.
Talk To Our Moms Almost every man does this! We mostly talk about the women in our lives with our mothers in the hope that they will tell us when we are in the right or wrong. Mothers will still mostly question our stories of being right when we put our women in the wrong. In all, they make us feel better no matter how terrible the situation may appear to be.
Regularly Check Up On Ex-girlfriends We actually obsess over this up to a point. Guys do this to monitor the progress of their exes. We want to know how they are doing, if they are more successful than when they were with us or if they are now dating a guy worse off than us. In a way, we hope our exes are no longer as beautiful as when they were with us, so we can laugh and smile about the fact.
Sulk and Cry For whatever reason it is, the society believes that men should keep the emotional outbursts to a minimum. This has put some sort of pressure on men to always appear strong no matter what the situation calls for. That is the way it is and in order not to appear weak, we would rather cry in private most of the time. Be it an emotional scene from a movie, a heart break or the loss of a loved one, we will show the world our strong side and secretly shed tears in private.
Sing At The Top Of Our Voices The crazy part about this is that we sing out loud in croaky voice to absurd music. We do this in private in order to shield ourselves from criticisms. We do this while carrying out a variety of activities including taking our bath, cooking, cleaning or while engaging in any form of idle activity. Funny enough, we sing to music you have no idea we actually like. The songs coupled with the singing activity actually has a way of improving our moods and general outlook to life.
Miss You We privately miss the ones we love, especially our girlfriends. We get to only truly have fabulous private moments because we know our partners understand and are always there for us. |
Politics › Re: Yoruba Leaders Insist On True Federalism- SS/biafra's False Impression debunked by abiambo(m): 10:48am On Jun 04, 2015 |
yoruba , the one tribe that doesn't contribute anything meaningful to the centre save their alliances and mouth, Dollyak: Prominent Yoruba leaders at a Pan-Yoruba Summit yesterday in Ibadan, Oyo State, re-echoed the call for a true federal structure, where all regions in the country will develop at their own pace. They also listed criteria for the leader that would get the vote of Yoruba people during the forthcoming general elections and distanced themselves from endorsement of any candidate. Leading the agitators for a true federalism where every the region would be controlling its own economy and resources were frontline Yoruba leaders from Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Ekiti and Lagos states and their kith and kin from Kwara, Kogi, Delta and Edo and those from other geo-political zones in the country. Convener of the summit held at the Parliament Building, General Alani Akinrinade (rtd), said the current challenges facing the Yoruba in the areas of infrastructure decay, bad governance, violence, loss of cultural values and inequality as a result of unfavorable policies and marginalisation of people of the region was the fallout of the current system of government.
Speaking on the theme, “Yoruba People: Our Aspirations and Minimum Demands from the Central Government of Nigeria”, Akinrinade maintained that the current challenges facing the Yoruba would continue if their demands were not met. He said: “Sadly, our region is now more vulnerable to drought, pollution, spread of evasive species, receding and shifting coastal lines, deforestation and de-vegetation, biological diversity depletion, erosion, land sources degradation and urban decay. “Our space lacks environmental governance and we appear to be getting to a stage where we may no longer have a sustainable environment to fall back on or call our own, this trend will continue unless every federating unit is opportune to achieve its highest potentials within the Nigerian nation without hindrance.” Akinrinade, who argued that the South-West zone had what it takes to compete with countries like South Africa, Canada, Ghana and the United Kingdom, noted with dismay that the region was still lagging behind in a number of ways. “South-West Region has vast endowments and potential to rival some standalone countries like South- Africa, Canada, Ghana and even the United Kingdom. “We have over 40 million people, approximately twice the population of Ghana and close to that of South Africa. “As a people, we can boast of large markets in Nigeria and we are home to possibly the highest numbers of middle class in the country. Despite these, the region still lags behind on quite a numbers of developmental indices. “The vast agricultural and industrial potential of the region remains untapped and most of states in the region still rely largely on funds from the centre to balance their budget,” he said. Akinrinade then declared that power should be decentralised to allow all regions to function effectively, saying “the Yoruba people are rightly concerned about their nation within a Nigerian construct.” The Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, said the Yoruba have been setting the pace for other regions since pre-independence days, noting that his party is not jittery over the coming elections. He solicited for the cooperation of the people to support his party, saying the APC would bring the desired change in the country. Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State said the setback Yoruba have been experiencing since 1999 should be thoroughly tackled without delay, stating that it was unfortunate that members of a faction of the Odua Peoples Congress, OPC, have openly endorsed a candidate, while bearing arms and ammunitions. He also noted that the purported endorsement of the candidate as the general elections draw nearer was unfortunate, warning the people of the zone to vote wisely. Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State said the region as a people must continue to work for their unity and continue to be a leading light in Nigeria and Africa as a whole. He argued that Yoruba as a leading light of Africa must not be involved in factors that may undermine the race such as corruption and purported endorsement of candidates just as he opposed any move to introduce Interim Government as being insinuated since the elections were shifted some weeks ago. He noted that the N155bn lost monthly has indicated that Nigeria needs to be restructured and ensure that states developed on their own. He observed that the use of card readers during elections is non-negotiable since all have accepted to be using Automated Teller Machines, ATM, instead of queuing at banks. The immediate past Governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, said it was untrue for anyone to say that Yoruba are not in support of the recently concluded national conference. The demand for true federalism is a contrast to the stand of some Yoruba leaders following the dictates of Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State who is also the South West campaign coordinator for President Goodluck Jonathan. Their rejection of Governor Mimiko has led to their abscence of key Yoruba leaders from activities to support Jonathan’s campaign in the South West.

lalasticlala oladimejiX: Dear Sir,
Was hoping to bring up this discussion later this week, but after receiving notification of salary payment for May yesterday, payment which looks to have been taxed, contrary to our verbal agreement of 80,000 after tax, its imperative i bring this up and since it looks like you might not be in the office today i decided to send it as email, i apologize for the inconvenience.
Sir, after four months (Feb-May) of working, it has become obvious to me that i cannot cope with the pay and the logistics of the job for the following reasons.
1. coming to work everyday and closing by 5pm (making me get home very late) even when there is no IT support work to do, making me sit out the whole day like a receptionist .
2. doing admin jobs (filling invoices, taking cheques to bank, attending to generator etc.) and running errands (including going to buy drink for your son) all of which are not part of an IT support person's job.
3. unconducive work environment. (i use my computer, i use my internet, office is always hot)
Sir, managing with all of the reasons i have given above would have been a lot easier if was getting paid enough to do it, but for a contract non permanent job i am taking a pay cut to do, it is not workable. |
