My advice to you is that always pray to God, stop pornographic movies, lower your gaze don't stare at women lustfully, avoid being alone all aforementioned are the source of masturbation. Masturbation is Devil's work because many masturbation addicts wanted to stop it but they may stop for a couple of months later they will end up backsliding. |

14 things you didn’t know about a bulletproof vest A bulletproof vest is not “just” a bulletproof vest. That is why we have made a small article with "14 things you didn’t know" about a bulletproof vest. 1. A bulletproof vest is in principle not bulletproof A bulletproof vest is not bullet "proof", but bullet resistant. A bulletproof vest will not with 100% certainty stop all kinds of bullets, fired against a vest. Also, there will be a blunt force trauma from the bullet, and a back face signature that can kill you. There is nothing that is 100% bulletproof which also applies to a stab-proof vest. Based on an NIJ 3a bulletproof vest, which is made to stop almost all bullets from small arms, will in extreme cases be penetrated by the bullet if you’re unlucky. You will not be the new Ironman by wearing a bulletproof vest. 9 mm AP rounds will be able to penetrate most soft armor vests as they’re made to penetrate the material. 2. How does a bulletproof vest stop a bullet? Bullet-proof vests are made of a lot of small layers of bulletproof fibers. The bulletproof vest acts a bit like a football net when a ball is shot into a soccer goal, the energy from the ball is being distributed out in the soccer goal. The velocity of the bullet also plays a role, the less speed; the less blunt trauma the shot will give him/her who wears the vest. Therefore, a quick bullet will be able to penetrate the bulletproof vest. For example, 7.62x51 NATO, SS109, or similar high-speed rifles will be able to penetrate a bulletproof vest without hard armor plates. 3. Every bullet is lethal As said before, every bullet is lethal; no bulletproof vest will be able to stop a bullet 100% every time. The force of the shot, also called blunt force trauma can knock you unconscious, or at worst kill you. According to NIJ standard 0101.06, a bulletproof vest requires a back face signature that is below 44 mm, which is to secure that you survive the impact of the bullet. 4. Lifespan of a bulletproof vest Most bulletproof vests have a lifespan of 5 years. This is due to the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) standards which require that vests have to work for a minimum of 5 years. When a bulletproof vest is being used everyday/weekend it will lose its durability faster than a vest that is not being used. You have to look closely for scratches on the bulletproof panels and especially for moisture and if the sealing of the panel has been broken. If one maintains his vest properly, there should not be any problems in a lifespan of 5 years. 5. Keep your bulletproof vest away from moisture After a long day/night it is always recommended that you take your bulletproof inserts out of the bulletproof vest. This is partly to take care of the bulletproof inserts, but also to check if the bulletproof inserts have taken any damage and to avoid moisture. Whether your ballistic vest is made in Kevlar, Dyneema, Twaron, or any other ballistic material, there is no need to expose the bulletproof vest to moisture. Remember that the carrier and ballistic inserts should be washed separately, and NEVER wash the bulletproof inserts in a washing machine. Do not iron the inserts as well, as it will burn/melt the bulletproof fibers inside the vest. To maintain and take care of the inserts please use a wet cloth over them. 6. Keep your vest in a closet or flat place The inserts in a bulletproof vest cannot be stretched or bent in any way over a long period. This will cause the bulletproof fibers to be pulled apart and thereby they will lose their durability and eventually not stop any bullets. Place your vest in a closet or a flat place where it is out of the sun. Please be aware when you get home from work, that you don’t put your sweaty vest on the floor in the corner. The sweat can seep into the fibers and reduce durability. 7. Never test your bulletproof vest against water As with moisture and sweat, it goes the same with water. A bulletproof vest can be damaged by water and ultimately it will destroy the bulletproof vest. According to NIJ standard 0101.06, a bulletproof vest needs to be put into water for 30 minutes before testing it. Most manufacturers make vests with waterproof materials to keep the water out. But for your ty, do not test it. 8. If you’re shot. Don’t give up! You watch many movies where the hero gets shot and then 5 minutes later he wakes up because he is wearing a bulletproof vest. This case. The force of the shot will feel like being shot by a splatter gun with 3 times as much power. It makes a mark on the body which causes a lot of beautiful colors and hurts a lot. Today many manufacturers have become good at making bulletproof vests with a low blunt force trauma, which means the force of the bullet is hurting a lot less. 9. Have multiple carriers if the bulletproof vest is used a lot If you work as a guard, bouncer, or police officer you’re probably using your vest every day. It is recommended that you get more carriers to switch between because of the moisture and the durability of the carrier. As soon as a bulletproof vest is losing its durability, the vest will fit worse and worse, and in situations bulletproof moving fast, the vest will not cover the right areas. 10. If you lose or gain weight, you need a new bulletproof vest This is an easy rule to remember, + - 10% is the maximum you can lose or gain in weight. A too large or small vest will not hold in the long run and make your work less convenient with a vest that is too large or small. A bulletproof vest should fit closely to the body, neither too small nor large. 11. Your carrier does not protect you without the bulletproof panels! This point is simple. The carrier will not protect you without your bulletproof panels, or against sweat. Read point 5. 12. If you are in a traffic accident Your bulletproof vest can save you. The fibers in the vest can withstand more than shots, and if one were to get out of a traffic accident, the vest can be a lifesaver. There are some cases where American officers have been saved by their bulletproof vest in a traffic accident. 13. Duct tape should never be used to replace a damaged carrier You may never try to repair your damaged bulletproof vest with duct tape or to make it fit differently. Here are two reasons: You will not be able to move properly in the vest as duct tape will tighten the vest in, and make it less flexible. This can be critical during situations where it requires you to respond quickly. If your vest is damaged, buy a new carrier, which may be obtained for relatively little money. 14. Never let your bullet- and stab proof vest lie at home After purchasing a bulletproof vest there is no reason for you to leave it at home in the closet. Use it; you never know what you might be exposed to! Source:https://protectiongroup.dk/en/14-things-you-didn-t-know-about-a-bullet-proof-vest-a-3

Which do you prefer? British or American |
Differences Between American, British Grammar Many of you have the goal of learning American English. After all, you are listening to or reading a lesson from the Voice of America. But you will still probably have some contact with British English. The popularity of British television shows and musical groups, for example, reaches across borders. So, how does British English differ from American English? You may already know that there is a clear difference in accent. Other differences include some vocabulary and expressions. Less commonly discussed, however, are the variations in grammar. American and British Englishes share almost all of the same grammar. But there are differences, and some are worth noting – especially for English learners. On today’s program, we will discuss a few of them. Use of prepositions First, let’s talk about where the two Englishes vary on preposition use. In British English, the preposition “at” is used in several time-related phrases, such as when talking about weekends. But speakers of American English use the preposition “on” in such a case. Listen to this American English speaker: On weekends, I like to watch sports. Can you think of how a British English speaker would say this? That’s right, it is: “At weekends, I like to watch sports.” Americans also use the preposition “on” with street names. Yet, British English speakers use “in.” Listen to this American talking about where someone lives: She lives on 17th street near Dupont Circle. Can you guess how the British English speaker would say it? That’s right: “She lives in 17th street near Dupont Circle.” These are just a few examples of the small differences in preposition use. The present perfect Now, let’s move on to verb tenses. American and British English speakers use the present perfect verb tense in similar ways. But Americans use it in fewer situations. In many other situations, we use the simple past instead. Listen to an American use the simple past tense to talk about a lost object: Ugh! I lost my phone…again. British English speakers would generally use the present perfect in this situation, as in “I’ve lost my phone…again.” The present perfect verb here is “have lost.” This is also true when giving news. In American English, we use the simple past to do this. Speakers of British English generally use the present perfect. Listen to an American give a piece of news to someone: Your supervisor just called. Again, such news would involve the present perfect for Britons, as in, “Your supervisor has just called” or the contracted “You supervisor’s just called.” Notice use of the word “just,” a common time-related adverb. With other such adverbs, like “yet” and “already,” Americans also tend to use the simple past tense while Britons use the present perfect. Listen to an American use a past tense verb and the adverb “already”: Would you like more? No thanks. I already ate too much. So, what might a British answer sound like? A person is likely to say, “I have already eaten too much,” which uses the present perfect verb “have eaten.” Have and get The two dialects also differ in some ways in their usages of the verbs “have” and “get.” When talking about human relationships, British English speakers generally use the wording “have got.” For instance, a Briton might say, “I’ve got an uncle in New York City.” But an American is likely to say, “I have an uncle in New York City.” This same rule applies when talking about possession of objects and when discussing illness. A British English speaker would likely say, “I’ve got a cold,” while an American would probably just say, “I have a cold.” The two dialects also have their own ways of saying that something is required or necessary. The modal verb “Have to” is more common to American English. The phrasing “have got to” is much more common to speakers of British English. An American would likely say, “We have to be there by 7” while a British person is more likely to say, “We have got to be there by 7.” And, speaking of “got,” let’s not forget an unusual difference between the past participle forms of “get.” In American English, the past participle of “get” is “gotten.” But Britain discontinued the use of “gotten” more than 300 years ago. In British English, the past participle of “get” is “got.” So, you might hear an American English speaker say this: He has not gotten far on the project. Yet a British English speaker might say, “He has not got far on the project.” Auxiliaries in replies And finally, let’s touch on something that deals with giving short answers to questions. British English speakers often add the auxiliary verb “do” in short replies. An American would use just a modal verb. Listen to an answer from this American English speaker: Are you bringing the whole family? I might. The modal verb in the reply is “might.” Yet, speakers of British English would generally use both a modal and the auxiliary “do,” as in the reply “I might do.” What can you do? So…what can you do with this information? First, keep in mind that British and American English both contain several dialects and accents. However, generally speaking, they are each still identifiably American or British. The next time you come into contact with British English, make a mental note when you hear or see the differences you learned about today. Then, ask yourself: How would an American say this? It could be a fun exercise and may help you pay closer attention to American English grammar.
