Addme: Very late now. That had the opportunity but blew it away. If this merger had come before the election, maybe it could have worked.
Tinubu, they are planning against is also already planning for 2027 as an incumbent so this is dead on arrival. If you can't defeat him when he was just a candidate, you won't defeat him as an incumbent. Dead on arrival, meanwhile who among them is going to be the candidate. Another confusion. All of them na big fish now. Who wan step down for who? Has whatever broke them in the first place been addressed? If it hasn't then they are wasting their time. It should be Atiku's needing the help of Obi or Kwankwaso. Obi is in his lane. If Atiku doesn't stand well PO could overpower him come 2027. |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Many Christians Find It Difficult To Be Holy by Abifarin16: 1:51pm On Aug 20, 2023 |
Kobojunkie: God of Scripture said He absolutely does not answer the prayers of the unholy and unrighteous. (The prayers, petitions, praises, offerings, seeds, etc., of the unholy/unrighteous are made filthy by their sins and are hence an abomination to God.) So where do you get the idea that by offering a months worth of abomination prayers to God, God will then respond and give you anything? Is that any different from proclaiming that God is not only a liar but a fool easily swayed by the whims and rituals of men?
The reason Christians cannot approach God's holiness has to do with the fact that they all follow lies -- doctrines and traditions of men(their pastors and mogs) -‐-- rather than the Truth of God. Holiness can only be attained by way of absolute adherence to the Truth of God which all who cling to religion are far away from. Kobojunkie with the prayer of unrighteousness. E go shock you on that day ooo. The two thief that were hanging on the cross besides Jesus, I hope you know the other thief made it to heaven just because he believed that Jesus was the son of God and that he was going to take position of leadership in his Kingdom through his death on that cross. This spiritual things are not always the way you think it ooo. Rehab was a prostitute, but she was the only one and her family to make it out of Jericho. Moses was a murderer, Jacob a cheat, David committed adultery. All people are broken and unworthy, but that's why Jesus came. Don't pray because you are unrighteous, continue in your unrighteousness and make your unrighteousness a reason to not get close to God. |

What's making this case unique? Nothing about the double standard is making any sense. The other coup did not happen under Tinubu and Nigerians ECOWAS chairman tenure. Those who were chairmen then should answer the question. Under Buhari, we matched to Gambia. Now it's a Nigerian in power again. It is only Nigeria that can wield a big scary stick at Coupist and they will listen. The previous chairman have be Guinea Bissau, Ghana And Nigerians itself. So is it Ghana that will tell Mali to return to democracy or is Guinea Bissau the will call Burkina Faso to order? They don't have the personnel, the finance or the munitions t pull that of. |

Stoplying: How many Nigerians are you ready to sacrifice in order to bring Niger Republic back into slavery to France ?
Before the coup, how many times did tinubu (aka ECOWAS) defend Niger Republic against exploitation by France ? But when they try to break free, we have to be there to punch them back to the ground and put them on a leach which we would hand over to France, right ? Tinubu became ECOWAS chairman on the 9th of July and the coup happened on the 26th of July. So you expect Him to come within 15 days of assuming office to start to address what the founder fathers of Niger and their colonial master have agreed to for centuries? |

The coup is not his making. He is doing his best. Tell us another president that inherited his counties problems and has to solve a neighbors own and that of the sub region. So which 'There's no room for coup in Africa' are you singing?
Is it because Niger is poor and closer to us? All those coup happened under Different ECOWAS Chairmen whose country don't have the capacity to even threaten war. Under Buhari chairmanship in ECOWAS he went to the Gambia now this is Nigerian turn to lead ECOWAS again. Nigeria is like a big brother the rest will be willing to rally around and go to war. Financially, Personel wise and even when it comes to munitions. The last three chairs when Gunie Bissau, Ghana and Niger. Is it Ghana that want to call for War on Niger or Gunie Bissau if it happened that they were the Chair and Niger did this, Abbie na Togo or Benin to tell Niger reinstate Bazoum of face war. It's only Nigeria that has that weight in all ramifications. |

Yes Niger is a sovereign state, but their are requirements to join, continental and global bodies like ECOWAS, AU AND UN. one is to have a democratic leadership of some sort. BoldBrainz: Okay, makes for a decent explanation.
However, now that Bola Tinubu is Chairman of Ecowas, don't you think people will feel puckered out that he hasn't spit a word to even address the issue ot the other three existing military governments within the region?
I mean, Ecowas has had about three sittings since Tinubu assumed the lead role to this day, but not once has a word been said about the other Juntas, not even in summary reference. It's all been about Niger republic and that leaves a lot of curious minds wondering why. You are very right. Let him deal with the coup that happened in relation to the period of his chairmanship, I believe that will give him and ECOWAS confidence to deal with the others that happen before his ascension to the chairmanship role. If other coup held WA countries see Niger go back to Democratic rule they will be shaking in their boots and start to make plans to return to democracy because they know the Nation and the person at the helm of affairs of ECOWAS. |

BoldBrainz: One particular question you folks keep evading: Why is Ecowas not considering military intervention in the first three regions that fell to coups before Niger? What's making this case unique? Nothing about the double standard is making any sense. Good observation. You would have to ask the people who were ECOWAS chairman during that period of those said coup. When Buhari was ECOWAS chairman and Gambia went the coup route, Buhari matched the Standby forces there and they reinstated the leader before the standby forces got there. It is safe to say under Nigeria watch as ECOWAS chair coup don't hold, Tinubu might just be following the antecedent of things. It is also Safe to say that Nigeria is the only ecowas member state that has the capacity, in terms of finance, personnel and otherwise to maintain the status quo (democracy) in the sub region. The treaty to establish ECOWAS was signed in Lagos, Nigeria is very deeply rooted in ECOWAS. A lot of times we just judge things on the basis of emotion and a lot of ignorance. |

Then Judah said to Onan, “Go in to your brother's wife and perform the duty of a brother-in-law to her, and raise up offspring for your brother.” But Onan knew that the offspring would not be his. So whenever he went in to his brother's wife he would waste the semen on the ground, so as not to give offspring to his brother.
