You guys should cool down. Can't you understand what is happening ?
Yar' Adua is a smart fellow.

This is the game: To settle down properly Yar Adua will go along with PDP's list, actually, OBJ's list.
After a few months or maybe a year, when he is fully in country of the country and would have caged OBJ and paralise his accolytes, Yar Adua will simply carry out a cabinent re-shuffle and bring in his won men.
This is my prediction

Lets just watch and see it come to pass

This present list is just showmanship to make some people happy for a while, get them to relax, then disarm them.
I toatlly agreed wit u dat there is need 4 Yar' Adua to play along wit PDP's list, sorry i mean OBJ's list dat has been imposed on him. I jst hope MR. PRESIDENT will know how to control all these Obj's boys dat ve worked 4 him n d past witout any result. Hope d Government will nt embark on down sidzin of workers.

angel101:
Its about time OBJ realises that the party is over. He had his way for 8 years. Now it's no longer all about him. He needs to face it!
As for Yaradua and fresh elections, that is obviously not feasible. I think given the chance this man might just do well but like abiodunade has said, the man needs to ender himself to the poeple. Reverting the price of fuel until electricity is sorted will be a good idea.
It is a known fact dat Yar' adua will fall out wit Obj. its a matter of time. If Obj and Atiku can fall out completely, Babangida and Obj, then Obj should ve envisage dis to happen to him immediately is out of office. If d President is given too change time, d calibres n d country will nt allows him to perform well 4 d masses. So d besst bet is to show to him dat nigerians can beat if he introduces anti-people policies n d land. I know he most by now learn one lesson dat nigerians are nt happi wit anti-people policies. I toatlly agreed wit u dat he should reverse d price of fuel until power problem is sorted out completely.
PoliticsRe: Did Yar'adua Meet An Empty Treasury? by abiodunade(m): 7:57pm On Jun 23, 2007
Most of d new Governors met empty treasury from d immediate past administrations. Wat do u guys expect b4, most of d states were b controlled by PDP Governors and they ve to remit somethin to dey party dat brought them to power. Do u guys think they will bring their personal money, impossible.A situation where the party asks Governors to donate dis and dat 4 d party, d party is encouragin CORRUPTION and dis is wat PDP goverment has done to dis country n d last 8years. I can nt outrightly blame d Governors dat left empty treasury, d party should b held responsible 4 dis nonsense. 2003 each Governor donated several millions 4 OBJ/ATIKU Campaign. I jst President Yar' adua will change d orientation of dis useless party PDP

9ja4eva:
Absolutely right. The big question is will dey ever re do d elections.
D rite answer is capital 'NO'. D President will nt call 4 dat, expect d elections tribunal monster d courage to declare dat 2007 elections was fraudently conducted n d country. Now dat is there n d villa and his government is seriously fightin legitimate problem, wat he suppose to do immediately he took over d mantle of leadership is to SUMMON COURAGE to reverse last mins. obj's policies like hike n prices, VAT etc. Wit dat d people will says let give him a chance and he will win d heart of d masses. If we think fresh elections will b conducted n dis country, we re jst jokin expect d tribunal says so. Let d President start acting NOW, nigerians are sufferin while him and his family dey eat free food, cars, houses, fuel etc and he is sayin i will b a listenin President. NOW IS D TIME TO SHOW.
PoliticsRe: Uba’s Sack: Obj, Yar’adua On War Path by abiodunade(m): 5:39pm On Jun 23, 2007
If d President knows he want to do d wishes of d people, let him do wit well witout fear or favour. If he can do dat truely witout consultin wit d former president, then he should b bold enough to reverse back to d old price of petroleum. Dat will b d final signal to d former president dat he yar'adua is willin to listen and serve d people of dis country, let him jst summon d courage to do dat and nigerians will believe n him rather than 4 him jst to b talkin dat am goin to b a listening president. I think he has d time NOW to show to nigerians. undecided

vigasimple:
Whether or not they arrest Atiku will depend on any evidence the police or EFCC has against him.

Now that he doesn't have immunity anymore he can be arrested like any other citizen that has committed offence if there is such evidence to that effect.

One thing is clear OBJ has proved Atiku wrong by handing over power(albeit maybe because of ATIKU and co pressure!)

Atiku is in my opinion is taking off from America before the authority there start to chase him to explain his connection with Jeffreson, the congressman charge with bribery last week

I personally don't think he would be arrested if when he return to Nigeria. Not for want of evidence but for 3 things in particular.

1. He would have got a green light signal or assurances from Yar Adua or their mother(yar Adua's mum) that they should let the sleeping dog lie

2.Yar Adua is still trying to consolidate his government but will not want anything that we start to test it from the North

3.If he is arrested and put on trial Atiku can rock pDP boat and start to name names.

Since the FBi may be interested in him at some near future the EFCC we rather let somebody do their dirty job for them. But Atiku knew that Nigeria and America(if i am correct) don't have extradition treaty so it is in Atiku interest to come to Nigeria and keep his head down, that is the end.

I hope Atiku has no skeleton and can clear himself but who is going to arrest him nor try him, afterall people like IBB 'got away' with their 'sin(s)'

Let us find a way to get reconcillation if all the politician's who has any of our monies can return them.

May God be with Nigeria and continue to bless her and her people.
We all known dat all our past leaders are nt clean, bt one thin u can nt take 4rm dis man call Atiku is dat he has gut and very courageous, he has exhibited dat while n office and now dat he is nt enjoyin immunity let d effc take him up if they ve a genuine case against him. Atiku has gut and because of his gut and courage, d federal government might leave him alone.

PoliticsRe: Rest In Peace Chief Mko Abiola ! We Miss You ! by abiodunade(m): 2:15pm On Jun 15, 2007
It is highly immoral, ungodly, unbiblical and unthinkable 4 anybody to think dat Chief MKO Abiola died 4 fightin 4 his own selfish interest. Chief MKO Abiola can b said to b d foundation of our present democracy, it is unfortunate dat some pple n dis forum like history. As it ever happened b4 dat we ve muslim muslim joint tickek and d christians all over d federation massively voted 4 dis tickek, even n tofa's home town, Chief MKO Abiola defeated him.Let 4get wat Fela said him, d fact is dat Chief MKO Abiola was a GREAT MAN and a total detribalised nigerian, he has contact over d country, it is rather unfortunate dat d military calibres did nt allows him to use his goodwill to change d poverty of d masses. D political history of nigeria as a country is not complete witout reference to dat GREAT ELECTION JUNE 12, 1993. May d soul of Late Chief MKO Abiola rest n perfect peace and i hope one day nigerians will ve a government dat will properly immortalise dis GREAT MAN CALLED MONEY KUDI OWO(MKO) ABIOLA, not like d one Baba Iyabo did by naming one street n abuja after him.

I think is a good thing that the government ve finally decided to free him stylishly by usin d court. with this development, boys or militants in niger delta will relax 4 a while, his release does nt mean d end to hostage taking in niger delta.

No Rigging.

We queue up behind either Bashir Tofa and Moshood Abiola.

Votes were counted there and then.

Results announced there and then.

Before that evening, nearly everybody had colated the results only wait for Nwosu to declare the winner.
Honestly speaking, u make me remember one of d day i will never 4get n my life and d political history of nigeria is nt complete witout d mentioning of dat great man who sacrified his life 4 d enthronement of democracy n nigeria. I always tell pple dat care to listen dat M.K.O Abiola needs to b celebrated n dis country because his election brought d attention of d world to dis country which made 4 ibb to step aside. Abiola was d hero of our democracy, am nt happi dat d government is nt celebrating june 12 as democracy day n nigeria, if Abiola have nt dead n custody, Obj wouldnt ve got d opprtunity to b president. Money Kudi Owo(M.K.O) was a great man and he dead 4 a cause he believed in, he wanted to liberate d poor masses 4r abject poverty bt ibb and some useless elites did nt allow him to actualise his dream. He has his shortcoming too, bt his good deeds out weight his bad deeds to humanity when he was alive. I love courageous men like him, he fought to end, he will always b rememberd by d good pple of nigeria.

I dnt like pple dat jst make any hw statement abt leaders, especially when dat leader has try his best 4 d country. D fact dat things might nt ve improved d way we wanted it, dat does nt mean we should make fallacy statement abt our leaders witout a prove. I think ur statement will b more relevant if u can prove and make references to ur statement. OBJ might nt b a perfect person, bt in terms of CORRUPTION, he has performed creditably well to fight d greatness enemy of Nigeria. tongue

U can nt talk of flaw n service delivery witout referin to d constitution, d constitution is like d holy books dat most be follow. D service delivery u re talkin abt was clearly stated n d constitution as d responsibility of d government, i jst mentioned dis as an example. One of the beauty of this dispensation is that d judiciary ve been upright to defend d rule of law. Atiku is a strong and courageous man dat firmly believe in d rule of law, he has fought d political battle of his life and he has come out victorious, i personally respect him 4 having d gut to challenge obj to a standstill despite all d state machineries at obj disposal. With dis ruling, its clear shows dat atiku will contest and if d election could b free and fair, he will WIN cos obj and pdp knows dat he could WIN n a free and fair election. some of d state governors are jst following obj cos of efcc and secretly still associating wit ATIKU, D REAL MAN. whether, he wins or not, he has fought a GOOD FIGHT and obj too knows dat.
