Crime / BREAKING: Tears As Lion Kills OAU Veterinary Staff, Olabode Olawuyi by Abiodunstephen(m): 7:39am On Feb 20
The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), located in Ile-Ife, Osun State, is reeling from a devastating loss following the tragic death of Mr. Olabode Olawuyi, a Veterinary Technologist who served as the caretaker of the Zoological garden for over a decade.

According to a press release issued by the University’s Public Relations Officer, Abiodun Olarewaju, the unfortunate incident occurred on Monday, 19th February, 2024. Mr. Olawuyi was attacked by a 9-year-old male lion while he was carrying out his duties of feeding the animals within their enclosure at the Zoological garden.

Despite the valiant efforts of other staff members present at the scene, the attack proved fatal, resulting in severe injuries to Mr. Olawuyi.

Upon receiving the distressing news, the University’s management, led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Adebayo Simeon BAMIRE, immediately halted ongoing activities to assess the situation firsthand.

Despite all medical efforts, as confirmed by the Acting Director of the University Health and Medical Centre, Dr. Tirimisiyu Olatunji, Mr. Olawuyi succumbed to his injuries.

In response to the incident, the aggressive lion responsible for the attack has been euthanized by the authorities. Mr. Olawuyi had been responsible for the care of the lions since their birth on campus approximately nine years ago, making the tragic circumstances of his death even more poignant.

In a show of support, the University management has dispatched a delegation to extend condolences to the deceased’s widow and children, urging them to find solace in faith during this challenging time.

Meanwhile, Vice-Chancellor Professor Adebayo Simeon BAMIRE has ordered a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, aiming to determine both its immediate and underlying causes.

As the OAU community mourns the loss of Mr. Olabode Olawuyi, they collectively pray for his soul to rest in eternal peace.

Politics / Re: Nigerian Senator Vs Minister: Who Is Higher? by Abiodunstephen(m): 6:20am On Aug 18, 2023
First of all David umahi is a politician that striving to be president in future, he believe he needed to show case his talent to entire Nigeria and also let nation see his magic touch.
If he has to do this he must gain his popularity from a position that has to involve the nation not just ordinary district.
You should know Akpabio forsake his minority leader in order to get to where he is now.
When a politician is aspiring for something big you will see them taking a risk for the future.
If not for the Tinubu influence Amechi due to the popularity he gain when he was a minister would have been on the sit of president now.

So to umahi getting Ministerial appointment is a promotion for his presidential ambition not a demotion.

ISLAMBAD:
A minister, especially the one with a good portfolio

Minister heads a ministry..

They steal through inflated costs of projects..

A senator is just there depending only on his income ..

As a minister, if 200Billion is allocated to your ministry annually, there is chances you will corner 50 billion then use the rest to work..

But a senator depends on their 36 million naira monthly salary and 1.2 billion naira annual constituency allowance..

Unless if you are a Senate President..

Infact all of them are criminals!! undecided
Crime / Lagos Govt Speaks On Burying 103 #endsars Victims by Abiodunstephen(m): 7:46am On Jul 24, 2023
NIGERIA NEWSDeliberately Misinterpreting And Sensationalizing – Lagos Govt Speaks On Burying 103 #Endsars VictimsPublished 10 hours ago on 23 July 2023 By George Oshogwe Ogbolu

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has described as deliberate misinterpretion and sensationalization reports that he approved the mass burial of at least 103 protesters who were ‘massacred’ by joint forces of the Nigerian Army and the police during the October 20, 2020 protest against police brutality tagged #EndSARS at the Lekki toll gate

According to a letter and dated July 19 by the public procurement agency, the state government engaged the service of Messrs Tos Funeral Ltd, a private firm.

The government engaged the firm at the cost of N61,285,000 to bury 103 bodies which were identified to be victims of the killings.

The letter allegedly read: “Following review of your request and based on the information provided therein, the agency has “No Objection” to the award of contract to MESSRS TOS FUNERALS LIMITED at a total cost of N61,285,000 (Sixty-one million, two hundred and eighty-five thousand Naira only) for the mass burial for the 103, the year 2020 Endsars victims.”

Naija News reports that the viral letter has drawn reactions online, with many calling the governor, former President Muhammadu Buhari and former Army chief Turkur Buratai, murderers.

But in a swift reaction in a statement on Sunday, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr Olusegun Ogboye, said: “The attention of the Lagos State Government has been drawn to some social media publications about a purported mass burial plan for casualties of the 2020 #EndSARS incident.

“Peddlers of the news are deliberately misinterpreting and sensationalizing a letter from the Lagos State Government Public Procurement Agency titled: Letter of No Objection – Mass Burial for the 103, the Year 2020 ENDSARS victims, to misinform the public, stir public sentiment and cause public disaffection against the Lagos State Government.

“It is public knowledge that the year 2020 #EndSARS crisis that snowballed into violence in many parts of Lagos recorded casualties in different areas of the State and NOT from the Lekki Toll Gate as being inferred in the mischievous publications.

“For the records, the Lagos State Environmental Health Unit (SEHMU) picked up bodies in the aftermath of #EndSARS violence and community clashes at Fagba, Ketu, Ikorodu, Orile, Ajegunle, Abule-Egba, Ikeja, Ojota, Ekoro, Ogba, Isolo and Ajah areas of Lagos State. There was also a jailbreak at Ikoyi Prison. The 103 casualties mentioned in the document were from these incidents and NOT from Lekki Toll-gate as being alleged. For the avoidance of doubt, no body was retrieved from the Lekki Toll Gate incident.

“Contrary to disingenuous narrative weaved around the recently approved mass burial , the #EndSARs Panel subpoenaed the Lagos State chief pathologist to produce full records of unclaimed bodies of dead deposited with state central morgue during the days immediately preceding and following the event at Lekki tollgate on 20/10/20.

‘The list with their autopsies of provable cause and circumstances of death were duly submitted and testified to before the panel . This subpoena was at the request of lawyers who represented #EndSARS protesters and the chief pathologist complied . There was not a single finding in the report or ensuing white paper attributing the death of any named citizen listed in the autopsy to the Lekki incident.

“In the aftermath of the #EndSARS violence, the office of the Chief Coroner invited members of the public through public adverts and announcement (November 18,2020, Punch and November 19,2020 THISDAY) who had lost loved ones or whose relatives had been declared missing between 19th and 27th October 2020 from various clashes as mentioned above, to contact the department of Pathology and Forensic Medicine of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) to help with identification of these casualties deposited in State-owned morgues. Relatives were to undergo DNA tests for identification purposes. It is important to state categorically that nobody responded to claim any of the bodies.

“However, after almost three years, the bodies remain unclaimed, adding to the congestion of the morgues. This spurred the need to decongest the morgues – a procedure that follows very careful medical and legal guidelines in the event that a relative may still turn up to claim a lost relative years after the incident.

“The Government, therefore, appeals to social media rumour mongers to please allow the hapless families of the unclaimed loved ones a deserved closure.”

Politics / Nigerian Senator Used My Result For Varsity Admission, Witness Tells Tribunal by Abiodunstephen(m): 3:06pm On Jul 12, 2023
kaduna senator
A former student of the Department Public Administration of Ameer Shehu ldris College of Advanced Studies, Zaria, Halima Ibrahim Ndanusa has claimed that a serving senator from Kaduna State used her result to gain admission into a university.

Ndanusa, who appeared before the election petitions tribunal, said she was in deep shock when she discovered that a serving senator altered her names on her diploma certificate, which she acquired from the college in 2013 to allegedly gain admission into Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria.

Ameer Shehu College of Advanced Studies is an affiliate of ABU, Zaria.

The witness attended the school between 2011 and 2013 with registration number A11/PA/1147 where she obtained a diploma certificate.

She said, “I cried profusely when I heard that a senator used my hard-earned result to gain admission into ABU while I wandered around because of a lack of job. I studied for two years through sleepless nights of hard work and research, but someone just forged the result,” Ndanusa said.

In an interview with journalists after the court session, she expressed shock that people who forged results still “shamelessly” seek to lead their constituents while the real owners of the results suffer in abject poverty and unemployment.

The college was subpoenaed by the tribunal to testify in an election petition filed before Kaduna Central Senatorial District Tribunal by Muhammad Dattijo of the All Progressive Congress (APC), against Senator Lawal Adamu Usman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), on a three-count charge including the first respondent’s qualification to contest election given his presentation of forged certificates and substantial non-compliance with the Electoral Act.

While testifying before the tribunal sitting in Kaduna yesterday, the college provost, Dr Richard Ogunleye Ibrahim said, “We have thoroughly checked our records for year 2011/2013 academic session and we do not have a student with the name Lawal Adamu with registration number A11/PA/1147.”

The provost continued, “However, we can confirm that we have a female student; Halima Ibrahim Ndanusa, as the bona-fide student with the same registration number A11/PA/1147 that graduated in the period under review”.

Ndanusa, therefore, sought for justice and prosecution of the offenders for using her results fraudulently.

She also called on the management of ABU to expunge her diploma certificate from the records of alleged graduates.

Crime / Gangs Of Lagos: Oba Gives Ultimatum Of 14 Days by Abiodunstephen(m): 8:23am On Jul 09, 2023
Oba Rilwan Akiolu of Lagos

Oba Rilwan Akiolu of Lagos has given Amazon a 14-day ultimatum to remove the Eyo masquerade from the movie ‘Gangs of Lagos’.

The movie, which was directed by Jade Osiberu, was released to the pubic via Amazon’s Prime Video on April 7

‘Gangs of Lagos’ tells the story of a group of friends forced to navigate the hardship of growing up on the streets of Lagos.

The Eyo masquerade, unique to the Lagos neighbourhood of Isale Eko, has drawn criticism from the public for being portrayed in the movie as being worn by a group of murderers.

Irate indigenes have also questioned the film’s portrayal of Isale Eko as a den of criminals.

As a result, the Isale Eko Descendants Union (IDU) filed a lawsuit against Amazon and the film’s producers. The union is demanding ₦10 billion in damages.

The Oba of Lagos, while wading in on the matter said the Eyo was illegally represented in the movie and as such damaged the reputation of the brand.

He also alleging that it violated the rights of the indigenous people of Lagos.

Conditions to restore the holiness of the Eyo
Oba Rilwan Akiolu therefore listed four conditions that the producers must meet within 14 days.

The conditions are that Amazon Web Service, Greoh Studios, and the film producers should “immediately remove, cease and desist from using” the image getup and the full manifestation of the local Eyo masquerade in the ‘Gangs of Lagos’.

Since the portrayal was done without permission or due reference to the office of the Oba of Lagos, he ordered the movie makers to provide a plan for restoring Eyo’s holiness.

He requested that the movie makers provide a plan for compensation for the infringement.

‘Gangs of Lagos’ is the newest original African production from Prime, which was founded by Amazon.

Politics / Appointment Of Uwajumogu By Tinubu Has Changed Our Perception. by Abiodunstephen(m): 7:18pm On Jun 20, 2023
Okigwe Forum, has commended President Bola Tinubu’s over appointment of Mr. John Ugochukwu Uwajumogu, as Special Adviser, Industry, Trade, and Investment.

Speaker of the Forum, Sir Collins Anoro, in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja, said it is a right step in right direction.

John Ugochukwu Uwajumogu the Son of the first republic politician, industrialist and business man who was behind the administration of Dee Sam Mbakwe and for his love for his people Chief B.U Uwajumogu.

Before now, I see the president as a weak and old man who would recycle the old politicians as we have seen in this country.

I was so fixated in that belief until few days ago when he appointed a Young man who is not a member of any political party. I am sure that John Uwajumogu is not a Nigerian politician. The last interaction I had with him kept me thinking that he should come to Macedonia and help us. This young man is not only intelligent, I call him a Wizkid.

He has done so many jobs for other countries, he is a professional and what anyone would consider a technocrat. I thank God he has accepted the appointment which I see as one of the best things that has happened to this administration.

I became relaxed to a great extent with this administration when I heard that announcement. It became an eraser that has cleaned several minds on the government of Bola Tinubu. This singular action has increased the public legitimacy on the government. Majority of youths are happy that for the first time in Nigeria, Competence and capacity is taking the driver’s seat.

I cannot remember when a youth who is not a politician, who does not have a godfather was recruited in the first ten appointment of any administration. The appointment of such persons in other administrations has been a compensation or a political quota to that set of generations.

I congratulate Mr President for this bold step in revitalizing the fortunes of the country. I therefore charge Mr Uwajumogu to go there and make us proud.

HRM Sideso Abe 1 also advised traditional/ethnic leaders to avoid doing anything that could result in conflict with their host communities where they reside, he urged them to take all traditional ceremonies to their various kingdoms.

The highly respected monarch stressed that he was not against people from other parts of the country buying propertied in Uvwie Kingdom as most of his neighbours were from other parts of the country but it would be disrespectful for them not to consider the traditional and cultural sensibilities of their host community.

HRM Sideso disclosed to his visitors that his first son’s wife is from Abia State, so it would be wrong to interpret his advice negatively, saying it was his desire to sustain the peace in his kingdom and expect residents to cooperate with him to avoid unnecessary crisis.

He stressed that he expected people who have lived in Uvwie Kingdom for several years due to its enabling and comfortable business environment to partner with him and the government to develop the community as it is only a peaceful community with solid infrastructures that would grow their businesses.

The monarch thatsaid he was surprised that his unflinching desire for peace, harmony and co-existence in Uvwie Kingdom was misinterpreted by the Ohanaeze leadership and the issue was reported to the Delta State governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa as well as his traditional ruler friend.

He advised them to seek an alternative area in Uvwie Land to develop the Ohanaeze House/Business Centre such as their property situated in a street that is off Refinery Road, which also was in a serene location.
Earlier, the Ohanaeze Delta Central & South Senatorial District President-Genersl, Chief Chiedu Idama pledged his loyalty to HRM Emmanuel Sideso promising not to do anything to undermine his authority or threaten the peace in the Kingdom.

Christianity is far beyond what people thought it is.
That you are named Paul or peter doesn't makes you christian.
Christian means Christ like it had to do with behavior and attitude not just a name.
Christianity has to do with personal entanglement with Christ not family stuff.
Politics / "God Forbid" – Aisha Yesufu Disagrees With Peter Obi Over Governorship Candidate by Abiodunstephen(m): 2:40pm On Mar 08, 2023
Aisha Yesufu, a diehard supporter of Peter Obi, has disagreed with the Obidients movement over who becomes the next Governor of Enugu State.

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, had in a tweet called on the Obidients to come out en masse to cast their votes for their candidates in various states across the nation during their March 11 governorship and state Houses of Assembly elections.

Obi wrote, “As we pursue due process and defer to the rule of law, I urge all the OBIdients in the various states to continue campaigning for our candidates, namely, Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour in Lagos, Chijoke Edeoga in Enugu, Patrick Dakum in Plateau, Alex Otti in Abia, Ken Pela in Delta, Ibrahim Mshelia in Borno, to name just a few.”

Obi further called on his supporters to vote for candidates with competence, character, capacity, and compassion.

But Aisha Yesufu, a supporter of the Labour Party, specifically believes that Frank Nweke Jnr of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, is the most qualified candidate to lead the State.

“God forbid I become what I want to change. I can never sacrifice competence for partisanship!” She tweeted.

“Frank Nweke Jnr @FrankNwekeII is the person for Enugu State. The people must be the winners and not individuals.”

Education / White Woman Leaves Residents In Spain Stunned As She Backs Baby With Wrapper by Abiodunstephen(m): 2:57pm On Mar 07, 2023
White woman leaves residents in Spain stunned as she backs baby with wrapper (Video) - white woman wrapper back baby
An Oyibo woman conducted a social experiment in Spain to see how residents would react to her carrying her baby on her back.

She shared a video which showed when she put the baby girl on her back and used a wrapper to keep her in place like African mothers usually do.

The woman carried the child on her back while walking round a shopping mall and it attracted attention of other shoppers.

She moved from one store to another and at every turn, some white people could be seen looking at her in amazement.

Some of the people approached her to take pictures and others wanted to play with the baby she was carrying.

In reaction,

babzz______; Indeed, our parent were so right backing us.

funkkyyfash; Western world about to turn this to money

zionifyify; My sweet Igbo brothers at work 🙌🙌🙌🙌….. The evidence is on the rapper 🤣😹🤣😹

kdkglobal; Only my wife can relate when she did this in Dubai mall.

_joyilekhaize; Something wey be normal thing for here 😂😂

derydana_skincare; That means if I travel out with my baby..Dem go snap us tire, because I prefer this back

mosesalfred91; This particular wrapper is from Nigeria

mr__landlordd; This is best way to carry your baby when going out not by putting the baby inside carrier or bag

opusunjuambrose; Why are they looking at her that way

houseofbimosh; It’s so cute , wo wrapper is the best jare , if you use a carrier , there are limitations to chores you can do but if the baby is at the back you can do your chores easily.

Politics / PDP Spent Over 400bn On Presidential Election - Dino Melaye by Abiodunstephen(m): 1:22pm On Mar 07, 2023
PDP Spent Over 400bn On Presidential Election - Dino Melaye.
In the one minute 45 seconds video, the Melaye said that the whole concept of redesigning the naira was a deception.
Senator Dino Melaye, the Chief Spokesperson for the Atiku-Okowa presidential council, has made a new revelation.
He said the Peoples Democratic Party presidential campaign council spent over N400billion on their campaigns.
The spokesperson disclosed this in a video obtained by the PUNCH on Monday night.
In the one minute 45 seconds video, the Melaye said that the whole concept of redesigning the naira was a deception.
This is coming hours after the PDP leadership led by Senator Iyorchia Ayu, and other party chieftains stormed the headquarters of INEC to protest the declaration of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, as the president-elect after the February 25, 2023 elections.

The PDP, Labour Party, and the New Nigeria Peoples Party rejected the election results describing the election as being marred by violence, rigging, lacking integrity by the non-uploading of the presidential results on the IRev portal in real time on the election day thereby calling for its cancellation among others.

The PDP had also lamented what it described as the irregularities recorded during the conduct of the elections.

Melaye further remarked that “to make sure that the mandate of the people given freely to Atiku Abubakar is retrieved, we spent over N400bn just for a caricature show. INEC deceived Nigerians.

On the naira redesign, the spokesperson alleged that “because money was given to Bola Tinubu, the APC shared new notes on Election Day across the country and the PDP was starved of funds. Naira redesign was a ploy by INEC to deceive Nigerians.

He also called on all PDP supporters, lovers of democracy all over the country not to allow this to stand.

Politics / APC Leader: Nyesom Wike Mobilised Resources For Bola Tinubu’s Victory In Rivers by Abiodunstephen(m): 7:27pm On Mar 02, 2023
Chief Tony Okocha, South-South Coordinator for Bola Ahmed Tinubu Vanguard (BATV) and Chairman National Protocol Committee of Tinubu Independent Campaign Council (ICC) in Rivers State, has said that Governor Nyesom Wike is a big reason why Bola Ahmed Tinubu won in Rivers State.

On Thursday, Chief Okocha told reporters in Port Harcourt that saying Wike was essential to Tinubu’s victory in Rivers State would be an understatement.

Okocha said that Tinubu would not have won the presidential election in the state without the governor’s human, material, and financial support.

He said, “I don’t even know the words to say that the governor was instrumental to Tinubu’s success. Wike is one-million times instrumental in making APC victorious in Rivers State.

“I was Chief of Staff in 2015. We had the governor of APC and all the big names you hear today who have defected to different political parties to seek greener pastures.

“They tried all they could in 2015 but could not deliver for the presidential candidate of APC in 2015. President Buhari in 2015 scored 65,000 in the presidential election in Rivers State against two million votes, and the PDP candidate, Goodluck Jonathan, won the majority of votes. Wike was instrumental in that victory.

“In 2019, the matter became worse. What divided us in 2019 was the governorship, and we could not still work together. What was the result? In 2019 the issue became worse. What divided us in 2019 was not the presidential election; it was the governorship election, so we all still worked together, but the result was even more abysmal.

“In 2023, we have a governor who was working with the G-5 governors, and he joined forces with us, and a few days to the election, the same governor did not only throw his weight behind Tinubu, he told Rivers people that they should vote for somebody – the presidential candidate that will support Rivers people after he emerges as president.

“He did not mince words that he has severed relationship with his party, and he said clearly who to support and the political party to support. And we all know that Wike was not supporting Obi, and we all know that Wike is not an armchair politician. He is a footsoldier politician. He is a political Field Marshall, so what else are we expecting?

“He pulled resources together; he mobilised human and material resources to ensure that Tinubu succeeded. From the benefit of knowledge as the Director of finance, I know that the only money that came to Rivers State was nothing to write home about.

“The money we had would not have been enough for the election so how did we mobilise money for the election, how it worked, who mobilised resources that made us score over 40% votes in Rivers State and today Tinubu is in high rating in Rivers State. So we commend Wike and we are very grateful to him.”

He told the president-elect and vice president-elect that their mandate was a call to service, not to leadership and that they should bring everyone along with them to do their job.

Politics / MY Pastor Almost Scattered His 27 Years Church Today. by Abiodunstephen(m): 8:09pm On Feb 19, 2023
Church started in a normal ways, after Sunday school class the main service began.
Praise and worship was so amazing, we dance and praise God in unusual way.
Immediately after praise and worship, Offering and tithe follow and service was getting shape.

The next thing on the service was for the daddy G.O to come to the alter and lead some prayer but when Papa came he started with the topic of whom to vote and how he want the congregation to vote, I was like this is unusual of daddy G.O to be talking about the politics on the pulpit but daddy G.O keep saying vote for the man that has interest of Nigerian, do not vote any old man because is your tribes man.
One church man now asked that please sir who should we vote? pastor was like I think Peter Obi should be the best.
Immediately he pronounce that most member walked away from church with anger that pastor should stop that otherwise they will not attend the church again that they are for Tinubu and nobody can change their mind on that.

As a pastor we must be mindful what we say as per politice on the pulpit because we have different member with different political party.

Politics / Presidency: PDP Candidates Campaign For Tinubu In Ondo by Abiodunstephen(m): 6:41am On Feb 11, 2023
Has Governor Nyesom Wike directed his supporters in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State to begin campaign for presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tinubu? This was the question on the lips of many residents of the state when campaign posters of some PDP candidates bearing the picture of Tinubu and the APC logo surfaced in Akure, the state capital.

The campaign poster had the pictures of House of Representatives candidate for Akure Federal Constituency, Princess Kemisola Adesanya and the Ondo Central senatorial candidate, Ifedayo Adedipe. It was powered by the Akure Progressive Forum (AFP). Some members of the PDP who spoke on anonymity, said concerns have been raised about sincerity of some of the party’s candidate especially those loyal to former Governor Olusegun Mimiko. The former governor is an ally of Governor Wike and a member of the Integrity Group.

Mimiko has not participated in any campaign rally of the Ondo PDP. The PDP members said candidate of the party for Ondo South Senatorial District, Agboola Ajayi, and some others who defected into PDP alongside Mimiko from the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), are suspected to be working for Tinubu. One of them said, “Mimiko is loyal to Wike. Agboola cannot be supporting Atiku when his boss is supporting Wike. With time, we will uncover the enemies within.

“We know Kemi and Adedipe to be supporters of Wike. Adedipe was recently given River State honours by Wike. We are watching them.” Adedipe, when contacted on phone, said he was not responsible for the printing of the campaign posters with Tinubu’s picture.

He said, “Do I look like somebody that will do something like that? I do not know anything about it. The APF did it. Maybe that is their preference. I cannot stop people from voting their preference.” Kemi did not pick calls to her cell phone.

The Police Service Commission has approved the appointment of three Assistant Inspectors General of Police to the rank of Deputy Inspectors of Police.
In a statement on Sunday by the commission’s Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, the promotion of eight Commissioners of Police to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) was suspended.
This is because the CPs failed to appear before it for the mandatory promotion interview.

“As part of an effort to fill up the leadership vacuum in the Nigerian Police Force, The Police Service Commission has approved the appointment of three Assistant Inspectors General of Police to the rank of Deputy Inspectors General of Police,” the statement partly read.

“The new DIGs are expected to fill the vacant duty posts created owing to the retirements of three DIGs representing the North Central, North East and North West geopolitical zones.”

In a statement by the Head, Press and Public Relations of the Police Service Commission, Ikechukwu Ani, the affected Senior officers are “The Force Secretary, AIG Hafiz Inuwa, replacing retired DIG Mustapha Dan- Daura for the North West slot, while AIG Ali Janga from North East will replace DIG Zanna Ibrahim and AIG Adeleke Adeyinka of the North Central Zone will replace DIG Sanusi Lemu.”

Ani said the new appointments were part of the decisions of the Commission’s 18th plenary meeting held in Abuja from February 2 to 3 and chaired by the acting Chairman, Justice Clara Ogunbiyi (rtd).

The newly appointed officers are Hafiz Inuwa who until now was the Force Secretary, Aji Janga and Adeleke Bode.

They are expected to fill the gap created by the retirement of three DIGs representing North-West, North-East and North-Central geopolitical zones.

Inuwa will replace Mustapha Dan-Daura for the North-West slot, Janga will replace Zanna Ibrahim for the North-East slot and Bode is to replace Sanusi Lemu for the North-Central zone.

Celebrities / Yeni Kuti: I Can Only Quit My Marriage If My Partner Sleeps With Another Man by Abiodunstephen(m): 3:54pm On Jan 28, 2023
Yeni Kuti, the singer and dancer, says infidelity in marriage is not a “deal breaker” for her.

Speaking on Your View, a programme on Television Continental (TVC), Yeni said she can only leave her marriage “if I find out that my partner is sleeping with another man.”

Recounting her mother’s experience while married to Fela Kuti, the late Afrobeat icon, Yeni said her mum was not happy in the union yet she didn’t leave him.

She added that she would rather leave her marriage than cheat on her husband.

“For me, cheating is not a deal breaker and I always say it here. My father had 27 wives, my mother didn’t go,” she said.

“I’m not saying she was happy but she didn’t leave.

“It is not that my man will cheat and I will say I am going to cheat my own. If it comes to that, let me be going.

“So it’s very difficult for me. Everybody has their own deal breaker.

“My own deal breaker is if I find out that my own partner is sleeping with another man. That’s my deal breaker. They won’t even beg me. I will run. It is cheating but cheating get cheating.

“If you are cheating with a woman I can… But if you are cheating with a man, that one na deal breaker.”

Yeni is in a relationship with Theo Lawson.

In 2017, the TV host said she would not endure what her mother went through with Fela.
