Epphy: Please what about Nisan Altima 05. Thanks every Nissan model is good for uber, as long as its a small engine(fuel efficiency). Mine is 1.8litre. However, their parts are scarce and expensive. Its a very strong car. The advantage Toyota has over Nissan is availability of spare parts. This my Nissan don suffer well well for lekki flood but it hasn't developed any major fault before. Except for shock absorber replacement which wasn't easy for my kazeem to find at ladipo. Ordinary brake pad self was difficult to find. |

Romeo3: i have always said that you cannot run a company on 5% commission. how do you charge drivers 15% then give it all back to them ? are you MMM?
sooner or later their business strategy will crash because it isnt sustainable.
they cannot introduce promo because they arent making any money. uber can afford promos because they make money. from their 25% profit, they give back to drivers in form of promo. thats why they dont run promos weekly. sustainability. don't be quick to attack taxify when u hear about them. You are not the one that has been running their company for them before they came to nigeria, so u are the least person in the position to tell them what is sustainable and what is not. Have u ever heard that they liquidate before? On the other hand,its UBER that has increased their fare cos they couldn't continue with d promo. This week's fare has been surprising to riders...saying that its high even without a surge. That's because UBER wants u to make that 90k after 60 trips urself without dem having to add a dime. I havnt noticed any reduction in price of taxify. I do both UBER and taxify. I run to taxify whenever I feel frustrated with uber |

Hello guys, does UBER now accept kia picanto? I picked a rider yesterday from a location. When she entered my car,she pointed to a kia picanto that dropped her that the company that sold it to the owner tracked it down to the point where I picked her from. She said that she told them that its only when she's able to get another UBER ride that she would get down from the car. So it got me wondering cos i learnt that its either a salon ,sedan or suv |

mrsage: How's business my people? I've not been here for a while.
Best car for Uber / Taxify now. Based on current reality.
* Nissan Almera / Primera ( 2000 - 2004 model)
* Honda City (2004- 2008 model)
Honda Civic 2003/ 04 model.
If you can get Naija used in good condition. Good for you.
Ideal Weekly rental... 25-30k
The fares are too cheap. Don't wreck your nice car ( Corolla, Camry or whatever) for the sake of Uber. It's not worth it.
Some of you (existing partners) should sell your current fine car (s) and buy older cars in order to survive.
You guys put in a lot of effort yet what do you get in return
I've been doing car hire business even before Uber started in Nigeria and I know how challenging it can be.
In life you need to evolve...
Only older and cheaper cars can survive on Uber right now. Mark my words. Some partners will never make profit from this business
#Myhumbleopinion God bless you. I have learnt from experience. The car was bought for 800k and in good condition. I have made more than half the money now in less than 4 months,unlike those that bought a car of a million plus and haven't made 30 percent of the cost after many months and yet they are facing car repair issues. Cheap good car is the best. Fast return on investment. |

jayooh: Mr man, don't say what you don't know, or rather don't try to pretend like you don't know what we are talking about. When your gps hangs, you also do a fare review so which pity u deh find. That aside, it's not an issue of gps malfunction but direct cunning-Ness. The truth was he could get away because it was a card trip if not. I await uber response first. bro, I explained up there how it happened to my rider and how I told her not to pay me and to report to UBER. So if it was you, you might think I'm a thief and I've done something to hike the price. That's what we are saying here. Its not intentional at times cos the reverse also happens and I send a msg to UBER asking them why my fare is too low. If some people are doing that fraud, i want you to know that its not everyone |

OlugbengaE: examples of Uber +++++
CC Gazzuzz Ogunvic41 Romeo3 from my own experience, i have discovered that when the network is bad,the GPS seems to malfunction,hence the gps would be moving zigzag wen you are in traffic, instead of it to be static as u are static in the traffic. UBER uses this GPS to calculate fare...as the GPS is moving, the money is calculating This thing is not intentional cos it has happened to me twice, so I advised the rider not to pay me... That i will report her to UBER deñ UBER will credit me with the correct amount and they will also send a msg to her as regards the correct trip fare which she would have to pay along with her next trip fare. It also happens on the opposite when the amount u get after a trip is too low, compared to your expectation. It is just a GPS malfunction. |

Mboi2: If you use a car of 1.8 or 1.6ltr engine to do Uber, will it be ok and profitable? I am thinking of starting with Hyundai accent 2008 model. I need advice guys.
Also I heard a driver can set location from driver's app to get him rider's request to a particular area of Lagos. Eg.. you are in Lekki and set your app to receive only request of a rider who's going to say Festac or Ikeja. Guys I need valid clarification on all these. Thank you guys.... its best for UBER cos of the fuel consumption rate. But as per location setting,let me explain to u,how it works. Wen u are at lekki and u set ur destination to the mainland, u may be lucky to get a request to mainland but on the other hand, u can get a request to Victoria island from lekki...UBER would say its along the destination u set. Wenbu drop the person at victoria island, u may receive another request in Victoria island and the riders destination is idumota,its also a way to the mainland that u set. What I am trying to say in essence is that destination setting is a two way thing. U may be lucky that it comes directly, and on the other hand, it may come at a broken destination like I explained above. |

dckng16: One of my painful experience with Uber. I pick up a lady from Maryland to local Airport. With 45minutes to 1 hour traffic before getting there. Uber calculate fare at N285 at end of d trip, I was mad, to me it's like I bought N1000 fuel to make N285. The lady was so surprise and pitied me and gave me 1k because she knew d fare is very cheap and not worth d trip. Here is d screenshot you cheated yourself in this case. It was a GPS error. U should have sent a message to UBER and they would tell you d actual amount and credit u with the remaining. |

princepaul23: it is imperative to note that the scriptures we read today, either in one form or the other was once upon a time written on tablets (stone) Exodus 17. Later we moved on to write on clay, then on papyrus (writing material make from leaves). Then we moved from papyrus to animal skin( parchment), scrolls and then when printing machine was invented, there is need to have the bible in papers. The truth is,the writing materials will continue to change, but the word of God will not change. This topic is more than what someone will come here and quote one verse to defend. For better understanding, one can google it " how we got our English bible" for more information. God bless u my brother |
