"Trick to reset expired password on AVITS

If the standard "reset password" option on the AVITS platform isn't functioning as expected for u

here's an alternative method to attempt:

1. Attempt to Sign In: Go through the usual login process three times, even if your password is expired. This will intentionally trigger a lock on your account.

2. Trigger Password Reset After Lock: Once the system has locked your account, initiate a password reset.

3. Check Your Email: At this stage, you should receive an email with a link to reset your password. This method seems to work more reliably for some users, as the locked status may prompt the platform to send a password reset link.

NB: all the old password reset link you sent in the past will all come. Just wait for a while until the last reset link comes so that way, you are choosing the most recent link which has not expired.

Please, how did you change your password? I have tried the forget password option. It says an email has been sent to me but I never get the email.

Hello, I'm having a challenge logging in. It says my password is expired and I should change it, but the page doesn't show a way to change password. sorry about it once again. From these answers, to the best of my knowledge, his job should prove home tie. (I'm guessing he was denied based on 214b btw. The form given to him will usually detail the exact reason). Maybe he was just unlucky to meet a VO who's determined. Gurus in the house can help look further into the situation.

How can we show home ties for him. He went with documents showing proof of Job and even lands. But couldn't even present it. We are just looking for what to do better next time.

Sorry about the denial. The VO probably does not trust that he will return to the country. He is the home tie you have, and with him coming over too, VO thinks there's no sufficient home time.
What kinda job does he do?
how long has he been doing the job?
how long did he fill on the ds160 as intended duration of stay?
who was suppose to sponsor his trip?

Lot of things VO may have seen in the ds160 that won't make him/her ask many questions during interview. Answers to these questions may help guide on way forward.

I'm a masters student. On my I-20, my start date is Jan2019 to December 2022. I'm also on full assistantship .

You should be ok. However, you can still go on to ask your school for a week resumption extension permission letter and take along to the embassy to play it safe.

Be careful what you fill in this section because it goes a long way to prove home ties. Some people don't get asked many questions during their visa interview simply because the v.o already saw in their ds160 that they are/have not been doing anything which make it looks like going to the US is a way to Japa. If u get what I mean.

In addition to what you mentioned, often times when VOs don't ask much question during the interview, they probably have seen sufficient information from the ds160 you filled to reject you.

The issue here is probably with your school. Wright State University seems to be frowned upon at the embassy and it has low approval ratings at the embassy. Change your school and try again.

I am guessing your appointment was one of those cancelled in march due to the pandemic. If yes, what you need to do is fill another ds160 and go on to schedule a new appointment. You will be able to use the same mrv.

I think the usual advice regarding SOA is to ensure that the balance is at least 2x the requirement on i20. Also, personal accounts are often preferred to corporate accounts.

She was denied Visa last month. Her sponsor's account is a corporate account with the exact amount as with her 1 year estimated cost.
Now, she will be having her second interview in December but she's contemplating on whether to get a statement of account from someone else with a personal account and a higher available balance or she should stick with the initial statement she took to the previous one that she got denied. She doesn't have any funding from the school.

Please, everyone's contribution is welcomed to this as she's very confused about what to do. Thanks in anticipation.

The way I see it, your US SOA must have come from savings from your funding. Your funding is meant to support you and you alone ideally. Using that SOA has an undertone that both of you want to be living on stipends from your funding. It is just the way I see it. My suggestion: 1. I think you mentioned that the deficit is 5k. Is your wife employed? Why not build her own account. So when asked, she can say she has saving of $**** and then her mother-in-law is also going to support her. 2. If you can renew your Visa this year in maybe Mexico, do it. 3. Let her work on the reply to the first question. "I want to support my husband" seem ambiguous. It might mean "I want to be working to support him". Why not "I am going to bla bla bla to be with my husband "
However, these things are subjective sometimes; V.O dependent, so we can never know

my spouse was recently denied F2 visa at Lagos embassy. For that interview my mum was used as the sponsor for the deficit(deficit here is only the money needed for the dependent) cos I'm on F1 with full funding and stipend. Now, the issue is while planning to try again for the F2 much later, is it ok if I'm presented as the sponsor rather than my mum? I can provide sufficient SOA(US account + 9ja account) or just still use my mum (can provide sufficient SOA too). I am asking this cos someone mentioned that using my mum as her(my spouse) sponsor may be a factor in the F2 refusal.

If my own SOA is used, we plan she'll tell the VO that, "he got funding which covers his tuition + monthly stipend and in addition, he had worked for about 7 years before leaving for grad studies and has saved enough to cover for the deficit".

What do you guys think? I am trying to tie all loose ends ahead of her next interview.

Even if I visit Mexico or Canada for the renewal, same issue may still arise. Challenge now is, what is way forward for my wife. reapply asap or chill. Suggestions are appreciated

My wife and daughter were denied F-1 & F-2 today at Lagos embassy due to weak ties to Nigeria since I (husband) is already in the US on F-1 visa. She has a very strong sponsor with more than required money on financial statement of account, but they didn't check it. She was asked about her workplace, which Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital and how long she has been working there (2 years). She said the VO told her I will deny your visa due to ties to back Nigeria and issued them yellow form.
However, since they also approve F-2 for families of recent, is it wise for them to shift to F-2? What is their chance of approval? Or they should reapply for F-1 & F-2 again?

Yes u can. Make sure ur application is submitted early enough so u can b considered for funding and if need be also ask ur Dept if there's any form of funding u can get(that's after u are admitted). All the best

I agree with u. I had a Skype interview too thou it wasn't part of the admission process but I'm sure it influenced the admission decision cos the interview was with a prof I requested to assist in research and he advised I update my admission file to indicate that I have spoken with him.

Notify ur sch international office or the i20 office of the mistake at hand and they will likely send u a letter on letter head to address it if there's limited time or update and resend another i20 if there's still time. I had a similar issue but I didn't later use the letter(that was when I was going to d embassy)

Ayam not a pharmacist but from my little knowledge, M2tone is usually taken 1x2 daily, Vit. E dosage depends on the iu or mg. Vit E 1000iu and 400iu are to be taken 1 tab once daily while Vit. E 100mg is to be taken 1x2 daily.
