Jobs/VacanciesRe: NDLEA Recruitment 2023 Official Thread by AborMist: 10:13pm On May 29, 2023
NDLEA should just employ me to end the drug menace in Oshodi.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NDLEA Recruitment 2023 Official Thread by AborMist: 2:45pm On May 28, 2023
tungushebe:
Finally, President Muhammedu Buhari has signed the NDLEA Amendment Bill, 2023 into law. This is the first amendment of the NDLEA Act since it was established on the 29th of December, 1989 via Decree No. 48!

On behalf of my committee, I want to profusely thank my colleagues in the Green Chamber, the Honourable Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt.Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, his Deputy, Rt. Honourable Idris Wase, the entire leadership of the House, my Senate Counterpart, and the Senate President, the Clerk of the National Assembly (CNA), the UNODC, critical stakeholders in the War Against Drugs Abuse and of course, the Chairman/CEO of NDLEA, Management and Staff of the agency for their hard work, passionate commitment and collaboration with the House Narcotic Drugs Committee which I am privileged to serve as its Chairman.

To the CNA, my committee members and the Secretariat led by the clerk, I say a big thank you for tolerating the excessive pressure I mounted on you in the last 40 days to ensure that the bill came out clean and forwarded to President Muhammedu Buhari for his assent. With the successful amendment of the Act, the NDLEA can now effectively bark and bite.

With the amendment of the Act, the international community and particularly the UNODC will take Nigeria more seriously in the War Against Drugs Abuse (WADA) and trafficking. The WADA should be a collective fight of all Nigerians if we must clear the doubt of the drug barons and traffickers, for if we fail to destroy drug abuse, it will kill Nigeria.

My only regret was that my bill seeking to subject candidates of political parties, public servants generally, prospective high institution Students, Police, Military/ Paramilitary personnel, pilots, drivers and people in the service sector to compulsory routine drug test was stepped down from the amendment on ground that it was antithetical to human rights. But I disagree. That is a discussion for another day though!

Still, I am happy with what we have. I am also very proud of the 9th National Assembly for doing what no Assembly could muster the political will to do.

With the successful amendment of the Act, my colleagues and I have deepened the war against Narcotic Drugs scourge. We can now posture with legislative swagger as I bow out of the National Assembly on June 13th, 2023!

The credit for this lofty feat shouldn't go to me alone. It is for all members of the Narcotic Drugs Committees of both the House of Representatives and the Senate in the 9th Assembly for it takes more than one hand to tango!
Hon. Francis Ottah Agbo!
Thanks for the information. But could you kindly avail us with the content of the bill?

Let me ask this question: if NDLEA is as active as they have advertised themselves to be, why is it that marijuana smoking is always free for all in Oshodi, especially anytime MC Oluomo is celebrating his birthday?

officialchikzy0:
what I saw is 80% for everything not jus the test including the physical screening then 40% for the test only.
I wish you are right and I'm wrong because I know for sure that it will be difficult to get the required number if they set the cut-off mark for the test at 80%.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NDLEA Recruitment 2023 Official Thread by AborMist: 7:12pm On May 26, 2023
Antivirus92:
is 80 the cut off mark per state?
Before the test, NDLEA stated officially that 80% is the pass mark. But they never said anything about geographical spread.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NDLEA Recruitment 2023 Official Thread by AborMist: 5:57pm On May 26, 2023
The update came last. I had intended asking them what if no one scored up to 80% from a particular state? Does that mean no one from such state will be shortlisted?

This week, we are focusing on mental health in challenging times. Instead of turning to substance abuse as a temporary escape from these challenges, we have invited a life coach and psychotherapist to share techniques for navigating tough times. Join us tomorrow, Friday at 3 pm, on our Twitter handle to be part of this insightful discussion. Additionally, we will provide an update on our ongoing recruitment exercise.

StepTwo:
Mahn! things are happening. I have a friend whose sister has a slot, she contacted her brother to apply but the guy refused, he does not fancy the job. He told me, now I have asked him to speak with his sister on my behalf, she insists it’s either her brother got the slot or no one else. Even after several attempts to replace her brother since he never applied, She refused 😭😭😭😭😭
Why coming here to share the unfounded experience? Can't you keep trying to see if you can get the spiritual slot? If you had succeeded, so to say, would you have come here to also share the concocted experience? All these rhetorics are geared towards trapping the gullible ones to start parting with cash for slots. Beware of fraudsters.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NDLEA Recruitment 2023 Official Thread by AborMist: 10:31am On May 25, 2023
Ebitus:
They want to make their own input by fixing their candidate that didn't even partake in the exam. Nonsense people heading recruitment affairs in Nigeria...
Slots have been shared among them and they want to fix their slots and remove people that merited it.
I passed NCDMB and uploaded my Original certificate after passing 2 rigorous test conducted by Testmi.
At the end of it,their candidates were all fixed in the position that they didn't merit.
Those that merited it were dropped...
If you know all these, why not stay completely away from their recruitments and allow others to keep trying their luck?

Excerpts related to the shortlisting and screening discussed during the Twitter space was;
(1) A third party handled the entire examination process and they're still collating the results.

(2) Whence they're done with results collation, it will be sent to the NDLEA for further actions which are shortlisting, screening and final selections.

(3) Expect the announcement of successful candidates early next week or before the end of next week.

Good evening @everyone

Irrespective of the challenges faced, they look like people that could be serious. Since they promised interview follows immediately, let's watch and see how they may live up to their plans. Best of luck to everyone.

maajimk:
I feel attacked by this comment. I am working with an FG agency that runs a Social Security Scheme. I am a Certified Electrical Engineer and have been practicing before the Government Job. I worked hard to get the practical knowledge not from classroom, ask what it takes to get a COREN certification; okay? I got that too… all of a sudden i was given a job I didn’t apply for. I definitely appreciate it but I DON’T FEEL PRODUCTIVE. Since as a student, my dream has been to work with NERC. I have followed every development, every news, every publication, every achievement and all of a sudden, a perfect vacancy surfaces that has my exact academic qualification and work experience as requirement, everyone who knows me well shared this advert with me and someone is here saying i am blocking another person? SHOULD ANYONE FEEL MORE DESERVING AND ENTITLED THAN ME?

Work to some of us; is not about survival. If it was for the pay i would stay where i am because no job can be as stress free as my current job.
This is about VALUE ADDITION!
I feel you. There is nothing that makes one feel more accomplished than working in a place where you will have the opportunity of practicing what you have mastered. NERC wasn't stupid when they quoted people like you in their requirements.

As advised earlier, those that missed their test or unable to write at their stipulated time have been rescheduled for Tuesday, 22nd September, 2022.

Mails to this effect would come in tonight.
Thanks for the information.

Please, do you know the reason for the difference in exam result page status? Just like some are showing 189 as total number of questions for those that have written, whereas others are showing something different?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission ("NERC") Is Recruiting. by AborMist: 2:30pm On Sep 25, 2022
Idrismusty97:
14k applicants and nobody will score 70%? Lol my brother they would be people who will score 90% self. And then they will be others with less than 40% that will get the job. I believe they can get like 200+ people who scored above 70% but they won't be evenly distributed among states and regions, for some states that 70% would have to be lowered.
In the Union Bank test by Dragnet I made reference to, thousands applied all over the country. Only few of us made it to the interview stage.

Back to the NERC recruitment test with 100 questions in all, considering the critical nature of the questions and time constraint, could you confidently boast of answerring at least 70 questions correctly? Don't tell me by the grace of God, answer from the grace of your abilities.

micflo28:
Those seeing 189 scores, it was meant to be the platform to display your total correctly answered questions but it was disapproved so it is a technical glitch. Computer will be programmed to choose those who scored 70 and above and they will proceed to the next stage of the exercise. Each stage of the recruitment Carries a percentage, at the end it will be collated and the highest scoring fellows will be selected.
What if nobody scored up to 70%? Only asking because sometime we wrote this kind of test with dragnet, the highest score was 52%. From interactions with those that were invited for interview, it's like I was the third highest with 46%. That was Union Bank recruitment.

Even if the Presidency want to recruit staff for the Aso Rock now; the number of persons they will recruit will surpass 100 slots so long as the recruitment is thrown open for all citizens!

All this yen yen that I’m seeing around here are mere speculations and awareness seeking!
Make everybody just pype low and pray that good news comes out of the just concluded test!
Peace

My brother, all we want is message of hope. Coming to think of it, if it is one vacancy per role, junior staff would have ordinarily been promoted to the roles.

leks4sure:
I hope you all had a great test experience.

This recruitment is a very competitive one and structured to get the best out of the best for each of the geopolitical zones for each role advertised. Only the top percentile will be shortlisted for the next stage which will come up at a later date. The goal is to select one candidate per role except a few with two vacancies

Those that missed their test should check their mail frequently for a mail rescheduling them for another test. In other not to miss out, ensure you send a mail to careers.support@nerc.gov.ng and
careers@nerc.gov.ng

Good luck to you all!
Thanks for the update.

But, the issue of one vacancy per role means there is no vacancy at all. Let's watch and see shaa as I'm still in doubt.

You all should try to login to the testmi portal to confirm if you still have access to the portal.

If you're not shortlisted for the next stage which is an aptitude test, you won't be able to login and you will get a pop up indicating that you're not selected.

Shortlisted candidates should be expecting invite later in the day or tomorrow for the assessment coming up next week.

Wishing you all success.
You are the real Dr. Just appeared as said. Thanks a lot.

If all things go according acording to plan, aptitude test is coming up tentatively either on Tuesday, 20th of September or Saturday, 24th September. Consultants waiting for NERC to decide the final date but definitely before end of the month.

Invite for test will be sent between tomorrow and Friday. Check your phone message box and email frequently.

Aptitude test will be in 3 batches on that day to avoid congested traffic that destabilised NCDMB test in November, 2020
Thanks a lot.

Apology accepted Dr. The issue isn't peculiar to your request, it's a general trend. You open a thread and immediately, people are asking for WhatsApp groups. I have heard of groups that even end up with settling squabbles almost always due to politics e.t.c.
Let's remain here and share whatever credible info we have. Long may this thread live.
Cheers Dr.
Who is Dr? Don't be scammed. No genuine PhD holder will come here and drop the kind of comments he dropped here. Beware of charlatans

Oga just let it slide now. He apologized & on top his apology you’re throwing insults. Haba!

Reminds of this meme…
I rest my case.

But, how sure are we that those requesting for Whatsapp group are even genuine NERC job applicants? Some are just scammers looking to have access to people's phone numbers for fraudulent reasons.
