What's wrong with Senegal? With the number of strikers on their team you'd think they could STRIKE the ball. |
For a poll on a Nigerian board, one would expect Ghana to get only 3 votes but we got 21 . That is a sign that 2012 Nations Cup is going to the Black Stars. Drogba and crew won't even reach quarter finals. |
Question: Which country in Africa was the first to adopt suicide bombings? A) Somalia B) Rwanda C) Mozambique D) Uganda E) Nigeria |
Nigeria dey show BALLS of steel , woot woot!In Ghana, not only would we have shut up, but also allow them to open a white-only restaurant at our single international airport, then sing praises of "obroni akwaaba" (white person welcome). Kudos to Naija! |
Naija, y'all need to change your currency. Water it down like what we did in Ghana. Right now 1 USD = 1.50 GHC which even a primary school kid can figure out. Remove like 5 zeros or something!! WTF is 98 Trillion? It sounds like you're Zimbabwe of West Africa. How can the human mind quantify such a huge amount? Even USA's national debt is 15 trillion and the average person can't make sense of that $h!!t. |
whats up with the iphone? there are so many better phones on the market. |
This thread is old, but just so you know, "alomo" is a Ghanaian slang for girlfriend. So, your guess is good as mine as to why the beverage is called that. ![]() |
The real question is why did the Ghana Embassy in Germany issue him a passport if he wasn't Ghanaian? The nationality issue could have been sorted out before anyone boarded a plane. Why didn't the detainee just say he wasn't Ghanaian if he really wanted to remain in Germany, and save himself a long, unnecessary and stressful journey? Also, I think three officers was a bit much to escort one handcuffed and unarmed deportee. He knew what he is doing, he doesn't want to go back to Ghana, the German govt can't hold him for ever and can't deport him to any country that refuses to accept him as their citizen. That's a plausible explanation, except I find it had to believe he took a wild gamble hoping when he arrives in Ghana, and changes his nationality by mouth, the Ghana authorities will just put him back on the plane to Germany. If that was his plan all along, then he's a genius and that was a heck of a gamble. |
I meant he's dead when he gets back to Germany. Well, this happened Feb 17th so he must still be in jail but alive. |
According to the German Newspaper (Berliner Zeitung), as three German police officers from the German Regional Criminal Department in Berlin tried to deport a 30-year-old to Ghana they were arrested and had to give their passports to the Airport Police in Accra-Ghana.I feel sorry for Emmanuel M. |
You've managed all these years in the UK (I'm still amazed at how that's possible) without a very important document called a passport, so what do you need one for now? I predict when you final get one, your real headaches will begin. |
He has already surrendered. They kept it under wraps because negotiations still going on. Trust me, I have people in deep places. ![]() What do you think he's doing in the clutches of that soldier? Going for a night time cocoa drink? |
Direct from the source my broda. No lie. |
From Meaglent to Accra CBD or Labadi, by taxi/private car, should take about 1 hr, between the hours of 8AM to 8PM (M-Sat). Labadi beach is popular but gets crowded on not very clean at times. However, you can still have fun if there are events on the day you choose to go. If you're willing to be adventurous, there are nicer beaches just outside Accra, with accommodation. laserboy, I'm usually on NL so no need for cell contact. http://www.world66.com/africa/ghana/beaches The above site doesn't list coco beach, which I'd recommend, and it's located near sakumono / Tema area -- not too far from Labadi. |
akimate:LOL, this chinaman already thinks he's a black African, or to be precise a naija man. |
Your initial selection is nice, but I'm not sure how you intend to spend all 4 days. If you'd be visiting other towns (I prefer to use "towns" instead of "cities") then you could split your reservations into various hotels for your convenience. Frankies Hotel & Restaurant is in a great location, in the thick of things at a decent price. One which is not listed (and I'm sure a lot are not) is called Maple Leaf Hotel in Achimota (Kingsby). I've never stayed there but it can't be more than $60. I have a girlfriend who lives around there and I like the neighborhood. I think there's also a Nigerian presence in the area because I usually stroll past a Nigerian restaurant near Kingsby circle. Regardless, your first choice is good. A cab ride from there to Accra proper should be around $7-$10 so you can budget for that. |
Well, glad you found one you like but be aware the hotel is not in Accra central. It's a bit "remote" to my liking, but that may be perfect for you. Actually, it's on the way to Aburi, home of the Aburi Botanical Gardens (http://www.google.com.gh/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=Aburi+Gardens&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=). That road is under construction so traffic can be a b*tch so you'd have to plan your daily schedule to avoid unnecessary trips back and forth to the hotel. |
funkybaby, you're kinda cute -- at least half your profile pic is. so I'll ignore your harsh tone. |
After reading all these replies, I get the feeling UK or London, to be precise, is one huge third world cesspool. Muthafarkers talking about slaughtering chickens, goats, cows, bush meat and shiet -- and where to get cassava and plantains. Damn! Don't you Nigerians eat non-Nigerian dishes? Get a grip! |
Hot? LOL, she looks plastic-y, like one of those white mannequins displayed in container store "boutiques" dotting Accra's roads. Look, I don't mean to burst your ego but you can walk and talk Naija all day long in comfy Ireland, but as soon as you land in MMA you'd be like "Lūdzu, es gribētu iet mājās. Neļaujiet savu lidmašīnu atstāj bez manis." |
Puleese, she's ugly. Just because she's white and blonde doesn't mean she's pretty. Even those half-casts i.e Nadia &co make me puke. Then you have the bleached actress and their silly weaves. Enough already. Hey wannabe Barbie, stay in Ireland. The Naija sun be too strong for your skin. |
Divorce you husband and move back to Nigeria. |

Invisible!, make you come Accra see how some of these foolish 85% dey show off. It's quite embarrassing. Just a couple of days ago, a black 2010 Infiniti FX 35, plastic still on seats, with driver on cell passed me and I noticed the tag "Abuja -- Center of Excellence" (btw, isn't that Lagos' motto too?). Any way, by the time I reached the mall, the car was parked in reverse, smack in front, music blasting loudly and one of the driver's friends standing in front of the ride, with Yankees baseball cap corked to the side, gesturing "yo, yo, damn, meinn dis is fresh yo, ". I honestly wanted to walk up and slap him, but dude was armed-robber big so I chilled. Now tell me, what are the chances the guy HONESTLY earned 40,000 USD to buy the car? Then pay an additional 10,000 USD of his honestly earned money to ship and clear it in Nigeria? Very little. |
I like this OP, invisible man. He spits truth. |
There's a reason your flag is green and white. Why are the sachets on the bare floor? You know most people put those in their mouth right? Otanu, please tell us more about Aqua Gloire's Quality Control Department. How do you treat the water to ensure it's pure -- as in purified water? Please post pics of your holding tanks and other systems used in cleaning the water before it ends up in bags. Post pics of any chemicals or agents used in treating the water. Any way, I'm almost sold on your legitness, but not impressed with the quality of your product. |
This Otanu dude is straight 419. He even has a Skype account, in a remote Senegalese village with bad roads and water. What's next, an AIM or Yahoo IM account? When the word "modalities" enters a conversation (btw, not from Otanu) then something smells fishy. He may have accomplices on NL to make this thread look legit. I'm not Nigerian but trust, I KNOW Nigerians. |
I think the following is what she meant Nigeria resumes gas supply to Ghana for power generation Following uncertainties over some months, Nigeria has finally resumed the supply of natural gas for the West Africa Gas Pipeline project, and Ghana will be able to power its electricity plant at Aboadze. http://www.ghanabusinessnews.com/2010/04/07/nigeria-resumes-gas-supply-to-ghana-for-power-generation/
Ah ok, but that's not the same as supplying electricity. It's akin to saying, since Nigeria exports crude oil to the USA, Nigeria supplies USA with electricity. Nigerian exports are not donations. It's a business. Your country earns good money from the West African Gas Pipeline. Your government's job is to now take that huge yearly income, not the pocket change from Lady T & NL, and provide amenities for its citizens. |

Feedback usually happens much quicker! To all you Lagosians out there, please help a brother out. Any comments would be invaluable in helping me come up with a good proposal.
