Rossikk: Any jobless fool with access to internet just wakes up and compiles a 'list' based on their prejudices, and posts online, and we're supposed to lap it up? What do you take us for? Sheep? What is the criteria for 'liveability'? What research methodologies were employed? Nowhere is it stated. Where is Abuja on that list? How is Accra more liveable than Nairobi and Windhoek? Or even Abuja? What is in Accra? What makes Accra second in Africa? Based on what exactly? What is Kigali doing on the list? Ridiculous nonsense. Thanks for wasting 5 minutes of my life. Please tell us how Abuja liveable if you can't even cut the grass of your national stadium? |
Apple copied the iOS 6 clock from the Swiss Federal Railway service. They have now agreed to pay license fees: https://asset0.cbsistatic.com/cnwk.1d/i/tim/2012/09/20/Screen_Shot_2012-09-20_at_12.38.57_PM.png http://news.cnet.com/8301-13579_3-57531232-37/apple-licenses-swiss-rail-clock-design/ |
I currently drive the 2011 Range Supercharged and very happy, so I'll pass on 2013. |
maclatunji: You have got to be kidding here. The European Union? They might as well give it to China for feeding and maintaining over 1 billion human beings and keeping them out of war for decades.Did you just put Europe and China on the same level? Dude, you don't know China. |
Give up bro. She's no longer into you. Your marriage has become boring and she's thinking about moving to greener pastures. All good relationships must come to an end because NOTHING lasts forever. |
Naija women are addicted to bleaching. Inferiority complex much? Give me a black chocolate babe any time and Abrantie is happy and hard. |
How does this affect the PRICE?? |
I did not intend to snoop. I was reading a book quietly with my mug of coffee in one hand..,"This story seems like a western tale. Africans don't drink coffee after work, or read a book. ![]() |
In the USA, almost all states have laws that requires you to change your license plate within 30 days after moving into their state. I'm, sure that goes for commercial vehicles too. Frankly, I believe Fashola is Nigeria's messiah. If any politician can put sanity into your f-ed up society, it's gotta be Fashola. Please don't kill him o before he decides to run for prez. |
So I was at a hospital's waiting room recently and this dude walked in and sat by me. He was like "what am I supposed to do with all these coins" while showing me the change he received after paying his consultation fee. My initial reaction was a slight confusion as I wasn't sure what he meant or what the big deal was with a few Pesewa coins. He continued, "I'm not used to this. Where do I put them?". I replied, "Uhm.. put them in your suit pockets. You do have pockets, don't you? (he was wearing a suit in 32C friggin humid Accra degrees). I continued "Every country uses coins". He looked at me condescendingly and so I asked him "where are you from?" because I detected "Naija" written all over his ugly face. "Am frum Nigeeeria and we don't use coins". So I said, "Oh, of course, yes that's true. You people still count in thousands and millions just to buy common commodities. Secondly you'd find it difficult to carry the loot if your nation had coins in its currency, wouldn't you? Before he could counter with a remark, his name was announced and he had to go see the doctor. I was actually peeved at this guy's attitude. I mean, here he was in a foreign country, as an economic and insecurity refugee, but was frustrated at using that country's currency to pay for goods and services? What nerve! What arrogance! What did he expect?... to get his change in Naira instead of Cedi? |
Apple fans, just give up. Your beloved "Jesus phone" can't even keep up with last year's chinkos. The CEO of Apple has apologized for screwing up iMaps and said you isheeps should go and use other maps, including Google's... ouch! the irony! |
This thread shouldn't have gotten to 4 pages. I mean, almost every topic on NL echoes the sentiments of Malawians so why the denial? |
coogar: only the iphone use iOS - there are more phone manufacturers out there using the android so it's idiotic to think there would be more users of iOS than androids - a fair comparison is apple vs samsung or apple vs htc or apple vs lgSo what's your point? The comparison is between OSes (IOS vs ANDRIOD). Besides, Apple can churn out multiple models of hardware running iOS but instead, they stick to this goddam gay looking Iphone which has barely changed since 2009. Rows of icons is so "colo" (or as we say in Ghana... e be Gold Coast). If Apple had licensed iOS to other manufacturers then you'd have a valid argument. |
taxyflo: http://www.geeky-gadgets.com/some-iphone-5-owners-reporting-wifi-problems-24-09-2012/ /Hahahaha... imap is an ibitch and iwifi too is an ibitch. Take that isheeps ![]() |

ogochukwunasa1: If they ask me to choose between islam and garri....... I will choose garri. Fucck Islam! But that would be a big price to pay. I meant the price of your decision. ![]() |
Clemzy16: It works in those countries because There are facilities put in place. E.g you might be walking in a street.. You see a coca-cola box. You don't need anybody to attent to you. Just input the coin and the can drink comes out. Same applies when you go to a mall, you wanna play a game or you wanna urinate. Just put the coins and get whatever you wanna do done. But nothing like that here in Nigeria. Now, how do expect us to welcome it, considering the fact that It's the lowest denomination in the country. Please think before you act.It can work in Nigeria too because it works in Ghana, even without automated vending machines. However, I think for coins usage to take hold in Nigeria, a couple of zeros would have to be knocked off the Naira to introduce the concept of the decimal place(example N5.15) into pricing schemes and also the Nigeria consumer's psyche. What this does is it would empower or give more weight (value) to the coins. Lets say the price of gari used to be 150 Naira per kg in the market under the old scheme. It would be N1.50 (assuming two zeros were knocked off) under the new currency. A customer may pay with a 1 Naira note and 50 kobo coin or three 50 kobo coins or a combination. Note that the re-denomination doesn't affect the monetary value of any goods, not even gari. |
Can those be used to produce g@ri for sale? or will the selling price be too high in the market thereby making it a losing investment? |
na2day!:Iphone 5 looks funny, like a steam roller run over an Iphone 4s. |

The phrase "illegal refinery" in Nigeria is an oxymoron... or should we call it an irony... or whatever. Regardless, there's something really screwy about it. Ok, lets Google it up... http://lmgtfy.com/?q=illegal+refinery+nigeria |
rufychuks: emmmm! How does this affect d introduction of 5000 Naira notes!?It affects the availability of 5000 Naira notes IF the price of G@ry goes above 100 Naira per kg. |
valicious1: ?Market the in garri of price the affect this does how and. ![]() |
Why couldn't the title just be "Actress Seun Ogulande Is Dead"? Why the need to separate yourselves by tribe? |
texazzpete: The iPad gets its name from the Apple 'i' prefix and 'pad'.... and the names "iPhone" and "iOS" were stolen from Cisco Systems: http://www.cultofmac.com/143006/how-steve-jobs-steamrolled-cisco-on-the-name-iphone/ http://newsroom.cisco.com/dlls/2007/corp_011007.html http://www.engadget.com/2007/01/09/iphone-vs-iphone-cisco-and-apple-play-nice/ |
