You are getting urself more confused, that statement is applicable to every Prophet, no one go to God except through that prophet of that present time, e.g moses, abraham, jesus, isaiah, david and Muhammad. The time of jesus had past we are in the time of Prophet Muhammad so no one goes to God except through muhammad the same thing with la'ilaha ilalalah ibrahim or isa or dawud or musa etc rasulullah, and in this present time it is muhammad.

The number of muslim converting to christianity here in the south is shocking, not long ago i was faulting  the alfas for not preaching regularly which is making the non practising muslim slip away until when i encounter a principal in ramadan who also converted to christianity from muslim, i have met and known more than 7 apostates, is so sad to see the lost soul, the reason behind their conversion they will  tell you is 'TRIAL' just like sir olabowale said. Those who easily slip away from Islam to christianity are not practising muslim, they are only muslim by mouth, they hardly pray 5 times a day and it is them that are giving the southern muslim a bad name.
