Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by accelion(m): 9:32am On Aug 08, 2022
Hello Guys, good morning.

Can I please use your recommendations on fixing my Honda Accord 2014 model issues?

Here goes:

1.The car jerks (lightly) when I accelerate from a halt or make a turn. I know it is supposed to pick up immediately after I turn, but it jerks/bounces before it eventually does. And this happens every time I accelerate.

2.There is a persistent scraping sound on the driver’s side of my car. I have investigated and found that the sound isn't from the tire or the “hand” of the vehicle; it comes from the inside—through the inner shaft to the gear.

I also discovered the following about the issue(2):

a).When both front tires are raised and the gear is put in drive, while the right tire keeps spinning, the left slowly and strangely comes to a halt.

b).If I take the tire off the driver’s side, I don't hear this sound except if if the wheel is manually spun. Can I say the tire’s weight is a causing effect.

c).I don't hear this scraping sound when the car is put in reverse.

3.When the car is in motion, instead of gradually coming to a halt, it sharply does and withdraws as something pulls it back. You’d feel it, and I'd have to rev again. Sometimes, when it seizes (withdraws), it will free itself.

Thank you, guys, as I await your response. I will be happy to respond to any questions you have to help.

I am currently at Oyingbo (as directed) to get the best hands to work on the car since all the parts I will need are here (supposedly).

If you also can refer a trustworthy engineer here (Willoughby), I will be happy.

Cheers.
Car TalkRe: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by accelion(m):
Hello guys, can I please get your sentiments about the 2014 honda accord? I plan to purchase the car week, and I am contemplating the Nigerian used to save cost. Is this a wise decision, or should I just opt for the tokunbo?

My budget for the Nigerian used (upgraded is 3.8m - 4m), while the price for the tokunbo (not upgraded) starts from 5m+. I don't have 5m now, but I can match it up. I am of the thought that if I get a well-maintained Nigerian used one, it'd be great as I hear the car hardly gives issues. Am I being Pounds foolish, Pennywise? I know you guys would say I should go for the tokunbo obviously, does that mean I can't get a good Nigerian used one?

I also think the car is for people in the middle class who can afford to maintain it. So the risk of buying an ill-treated, not-maintain Nigerian used one will be less. Is that a wrong assumption?

Now for the mechanical aspect,

Is the car an overall good one? (Yes, I will properly maintain it when I get it). If it is prone to issues, I'd instead save myself the stress. I am coming from the German and American car manufacturers' side - BMW X5 and Ford Edge 08.

What should I be prepared for in terms of expenses, minor and major issues, etc., if I buy the Nigerian used (most likely)?

Lastly, is anything wrong with getting the V6 version compared to the V4? Thanks a lot for your response and forget my questions. I can't be too careful.

Thanks, guys.

Hello guys, if you are interested in my offer, I'll be happy if you please take note of the budget. I wrote as much as I did up there so that when we communicate, we'll pick up from there. Someone contacted me saying he has 150k. That's not fair at all. I am serious about this. If you've got any questions, feel free to ask me. Thanks guys.

Hello guys,

I need a flatmate to share an apartment with on the mainland (but close to the Island). I'd be working in Ikoyi and would have preferred the Island, but there are just so many issues with living on the Island. From water problem to the power supply, traffic, choosing what part of Lekki to stay(because one part is better than the other) e.g. The right part of Lekki is better than the left part, don't go beyond so so round-about, don't live downstairs, hidden fees, etc. I am just so confused.

My budget is 500k-600k so I'm looking to get a place around 1m-1.2m total package and split. I haven't found a place yet, but have seen some really standard & modern houses online (I've got a taste, I hope you do too?). If you're interested, please quote me and we can take it from there.

I am male, mature, Christian, work for myself, into I.T and open to both sex (preferable male, but a cool female is great too). I don't smoke, rarely drink, very conservative, and can show proof that I am working class - you should be too. This is urgent!

Doerstech:
One core reason for starting a business is to create a multiple stream of income and for you to do this, you need to know your craft inside out.

Having said this, you can start your Webdesign business with WordPress but you will soon realize that you need more than that to stand out from the crowd.

You must know how to build Website with frontend quarters of HTML, CSS and JS

Add CSS frameworks to the mix ( Bootstrap and Foundation )

You must go further to know more about building Website with WordPress in terms of knowing PHP so you can create customized themes and plugins.

With time you can ADD backemd technologies to the mix.

Not forgetting other things your clients will need like SEO and the rest.

.......So knowing more than WordPress will open you up to many other things....and knowing WP in depth will also do you a lot of good.
Can I disagree with you? Now with Wordpress and the right theme and plugins, you can do 90% what you will with conventional coding. However, you’ll need to be extra creative. After all, templates and plugins and all are packaged programming languages. Trust me, with the right knowledge of Wordpress and exceptionally premium themes built specifically for customization, you’ll do wonders.

I don’t know how this happened, but @op’s story describes me exactly. I forcefully resigned, practicing in the exact same field and also at the exact same level. Everything he wrote is word for word with me. This is very wonderful yet strange. But it’s a good feeling to know someone too is in your exact position many miles away. I think I should give him a call. Damn!

He eats heavy and doesn't talk normally. He is definitely scary at first site but he is good with the computer. Agaro is his name.

Okay, I am not insulting you but then, you need to get a grip of yourself!! You were/are to slack. As at today, you ought to have reported to the bank yesterday, because it's obvious there is no job anywhere. They would trace it for you and i bet if they tell you they can't find the person or don't have an accurate information about him, then you threaten to involve the police. At this particular time, I'm sure Fidelity Bank doesn't want anymore defamation. Shebi job no kuku dey, na make Fidelity around you be your nearest working place now. You can't lose twice...

This man is really running his mouth. He won't believe so many things he has said that might be used against him when his enemies are ready. A real warrior should talk less so you don't sell your weaknesses out.

This statement could instigate war and could be turned around. I mean how can a caretaker of a state say that in public? Isn't it treasonable?

He should just shut up already. If someone lke Willie was making tthis much noise, both APC and PDP would listen because he has prospects and substantial things to show for it. What has he ever done better? One thing for sure is people go by who and what makes them comfortable. This same people he is reaching out to would easily forget he exists once they find comfort or changes in things in the country. He just keeps ranting! Gees!!!

FashionRe: Every Slim Nigerian Girl Will Relate To These Problems by accelion(m): 6:30pm On May 03, 2016
Okay, can I add mine?

1). A slim girl would rather stay home and watch a football match(boring) on a hot afternoon than follow you to the pool to swim. They believe they got nothing to do with swimsuits because of their body. But in the real sense, do they? especially when coming out of the water.

2). Once it rains and they are beaten by it, na wahala o. All the asiri go just open...lol. That's when they start covering their chest with their bag.

3). You just have to pity a slim girl because you feel any moment from now, she can collapse. They get this ehya lepa, sorry and all them pitiful remarks.

Okay, my points were just to compliment what NSG wrote. They might not all be true though but..but..but, am I sure they are not true?

I prefer them to fat girls anytime though.
BusinessRe: 3 Reasons Why The Naira May Appreciate Against The Dollar This Week! by accelion(m): 4:52pm On May 02, 2016
bookface:
Again - you are either an idiot or an illiterate. I sure hope it's not both.

First - You should correct your initial assertion that the Naira is pegged to the dollar. That is plain wrong.

Second- The fact that you hold your reserve in dollars does not preclude your currencies from appreciating against the dollar. Heck, most central banks around the world hold their reserves in dollars.

Third - Your reserve is only one variable in what determines the level of your exchange rates. If the CBN can control inflation and manage steady output, of course the Naira will stack up well against the dollar.

Fourth - Talking about inflation - if you consider that interest rates in Nigeria is well above 15% while in the US is just about 1%, if the CBN can manage a slightly more flexible exchange rate, and if the federal government can maintain market friendly policies, you should see a strengthening of the Naira against the dollar. -- I don't expect to see the fed doing this.

Fifth - The dollar is not a supreme currency - The swiss franc and the yen have all shown better safe haven status than the dollar in 8 of the last 10 market drawdowns

If you are not sure of the stuff you are saying, shut the fck up!
Maybe if you had not written your first two lines, all what you wrote would have been brilliant but instead you wrapped everything up and made it zero by your first two lines. As a matter of fact, you made more sense with your insult than your opinion. You should consider as a job.
BusinessRe: See What We Are Doing To Ensure We Succeed In Importation In 2016!! Must See by accelion(m): 12:25am On May 02, 2016
Hello, I am interested as well in the importation business as I have an advantage of someone who goes in and out of the country every 4wks all year round and with a strong documented conviction would support me. He has been waiting for me to come with something and don't want to lose the opportunity to be truly independent.

I am serious about getting into this guide and don't wanna be chosen out of sympathy. I mean business! I have noticed it's better to help than being dependent or giving people reasons why you are not makin it. They most ttmes just listen and don't do nothing. So pls i'd appreciate if I'm on your selected list. Hope this was introductory enough? Thanks in advance!
PoliticsRe: Sheriff Moves To Amend PDP Constitution by accelion(m): 6:42pm On May 01, 2016
PDP should even just chill first with all ttese their dirty clothes. We need to catch our breath and see upfront and know where we are going at the moment. Can someone tell them this please? The people are so tensed and expectant and aren't concerned about any party for now. We need water for our thirst first.

Let them do a lot of internal workings first while the land subtle. I don't see an hungry man in this present state listening to their theory of revival not even now that a lot of their wrongdoings are being exposed.

They should do alot of humanitarian gestures first instead of showing how disorganized they can be when not in power.

Abeg, make them clear road first jor!
