The Bible nowhere explicitly states that masturbation is a sin, but there is no question that the actions that usually lead to masturbation are sinful. Masturbation is nearly always the result of lustful thoughts, inappropriate sexual stimulation,and/or pornography. It is these problems that need to be dealt with. If the sins of lust, immoral thoughts, and pornography are forsaken and overcome, masturbation will become much less of an issue and temptation. Many people struggle with guilt concerning masturbation, when, in reality, they would be far better off repenting of the sins that lead them to masturbate. With that said, is masturbation itself a sin? While the Bible does not directly answer this question, there definitely are some biblical principles that can be applied to the issue: (1) “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:31). If we cannot give God glory for something, we should not do it. (2) “Everything that does not come from faith is sin” (Romans 14:23). If we are not fully convinced that an activity is honoring to God, it is a sin. (3) “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your body” (1 Corinthians 6:19–20). Our bodies have been redeemed and belong to God. (4) “The fruit of the Spirit is . . . self-control” (Galatians 5:22–23). Masturbation is almost always a sign of a lack of self-control. These great truths should have a powerful impact on what we do with our bodies. In light of these principles, many conclude that masturbation is always sinful. Masturbation is a questionable activity, at best—whether it can glorify God; whether it can be done in absolute confidence that it is right; and whether it can honor God as the owner of our bodies. If done with absolutely no lust, immoral thoughts, or pornography, with full assurance that it is good and right, with thanks given to God for the pleasure it brings (see 1 Corinthians 10:30), is it still a sin to masturbate? The most we can say is maybe not. However, we have serious doubts whether this scenario ever truly exists. https://www.gotquestions.org/masturbation-sin.html 1 Like |

Kobojunkie: All divorce is not sin(ful). A man or woman who divorces his spouse due to treachery has not sin as the undertone of the text says. What does the word "treachous" mean? Does it mean the spouse was kind to his/her spouse? A man or woman that divorces his/her spouse because of betrayal, deception, danger, peril, hazard etc, the Lord will not hold it against the sufferer. 1 Like |

Unshackled: No verse expressly shows where vows were exchanged. However, this verse is profound in showing two people had some form of agreement before they tied the knot- Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed? Another verse is this: If a man vows a vow to the Lord, or swears an oath to bind himself by a pledge, he shall not break his word. He shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth (Number 30:2). Whether a promise to a girl is made in secret or in the public, a man is bound by the words of his mouth. |

Dorwadora: God hates unjustified divorce (You didn’t read those texts carefully. A woman would leave her husband if he has been terrible to her). We made vows to be faithful, caring and to protect. When ones breaks that vow, the spouse has valid ground to divorce. God hates abuse. |

NNTR: Truly, God hates unjustified divorce. There are even several grounds to which a contract can be nullified amongst which are: There was a lack of consideration, and when fraud (namely false representation of facts) has been committed. The latter is the one the Christ made mention of in the Divorce discourse. In this text, it’s the lack of consideration of one’s vow. The penalties or consequences rather are immense. 3 Likes |

“Here is another thing you do. You cover the Lord’s altar with tears, weeping and groaning because he pays no attention to your offerings and doesn’t accept them with pleasure. You cry out, “Why doesn’t the Lord accept my worship?” I’ll tell you why! Because the Lord witnessed the vows you and your wife made when you were young. But you have been unfaithful to her, though she remained your faithful partner, the wife of your marriage vows. Didn’t the Lord make you one with your wife? In body and spirit you are his. And what does he want? Godly children from your union. So guard your heart; remain loyal to the wife of your youth. “For I hate divorce!” says the Lord, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty, ” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.”” 41 Likes 2 Shares |

Jesus (Yeshua) is God. He came in bodily form. He lived as a man. He endured this like a man. Anyone who doesn’t believe He came to world, by His Omni-potency, to be a man, does so because He wouldn’t want to believe; by several occurrences in the galaxy and by testimonies of many, the atheist wouldn’t believe. The only “God” the atheist believe is his mind; the only testimony he will believe is the voice of his mind. The doctrine of the atheist is unbelief. Unless the atheist sees the creator of all things in his true form, he would not believe and even if the true form is revealed, his mind would never accept it because two captains can not steer a ship. |

Yeah, I mean I can't help thinking of when I have for example taking off the the top of the termite hill and I've seen termites in there all busying about building walls, looking after the Queen, caring for the pupae, clearing the nest, all busy and Partizan. Then they're all blind and they haven't the faintest idea that I am there watching what they're doing because they don't have those sense organs which would allow them to know that. I do sometimes feel that maybe I'm lacking in some sense organ; I don't know whether there's anybody else (up there watching) involved in all this sort of thing and it's a very confident thing to say that are you’re absolutely sure that there's nothing in this world that I don't have the sense organs to appreciate- that would be my position, and Richard I don't that would say (of me), well that's rather feeble that's not being very brave and the human (those who believe there is unseen being) maybe he's got a case. Suicide has a deep and lasting impact on those left behind. The scars left by a suicide are painful, and they do not heal easily. Let me give an example: many years ago, when it was a custom to research a family background before marriage is proposed, one of the things families search for amongst other things is the history of suicide in that family. If you lived in those times, and you left a younger sister behind, she would grow old without having a husband (marriage was a pearl in every girl’s heart)- she will be mocked- she may not make it to old age. Having the feeling of suicide is feeling great men have felt and they overcame it when they remember that as the psalmist said, “My times are in your hands” (Psalm 31:15) What is Sin? It is many things we do that impact mankind negatively, and are averse to the will of God. God is the giver of life. He gives it, and He takes it away (Job 1:21). The taking of one’s own life is ungodly because it rejects God’s gift of life. If you don’t regard God, please think of those whose lives will be impacted by your ‘departure’. |
