You don't love him. Stop forcing it. |
The game is simple. Come out to say that N180m was stolen. Come back after few days to claim that you have recovered N78m. Come back again to claim that another N50m has been recovered. Keep the "irrecoverable balance" of N52m in your pocket and get some praises from your fanboys for at least recovering the sum of N128m. Nigerians will praise him for recovering at least 70% of the "stolen" funds. Ahahah ![]() |
Loan approved and disbursed since July 2024? Why are we reporting this in December? |
Edo/Delta women ehnn. No filter at all ![]() |
A sane country would have thrown this man in prison a long time ago. You built him this, you built him that.. at whose expense? Rivers state people. Zero accountability, and no one is saying anything. |
Nigerian presidents will rather die than let their fanboys know their diagnosis. |
ogashman:Then you don't know women |
Being with someone for 6 years is more than enough to know their likes and dislikes. Take this as a challenge to build your marriage and make it better. |
Esthered:Moving to far places is by far the only way to cope. Things are really bad and no sector is exempted. Those who are not currently searching for an apartment should just try to save up for future relocation plans. |
Esthered:With a budget of 1 million, an agent would need to search further into Ogba suburbs like Obawole, Oke Ira, Fagba, Iju, and so on. One thing I have come to realise in the real estate/accommodation sector in Lagos is that the places we thought were more affordable are not actually so. |
Esthered:"Lion no fit born goat" 🙂 |
cococandy:Ogba is not a highbrow area at all, but it is relatively close to the capital, Ikeja. I live in one of Ogba’s suburbs, where rent is still cheaper than in Ogba itself. However, even here, there are no decent (modern) mini-flats available for less than 500k anymore. There are cheaper apartments, but they wouldn’t be much different from what you see in those pictures. What you see in Ogba is just a reflection of many other parts of Lagos Mainland - a mix of old, dilapidated, and modern houses, all struggling to breathe in the same environment. Most of the other areas I mentioned border Ogun State, while the rest are simply too far from business districts. Roads are another major factor to consider. |
Bold of you to think that your mom is unaware of her husband's cheating habits. Most of the advice on this thread will scatter your home. So, what can you do? ignore. Can you respect him despite this discovery? No, you can't. Will you also cheat on your spouse someday? 85% yes, and that's when you will begin to "respect" your father again. |
You sef no try. You dey find miniflat for 500k at Ogba. 😂 Even with 1m, what you'll get will be close to a poultry house or at best a crowded old house. To get something decent for 500k, you will need to move to Mowe, Alagbole, Agbado, Iyana-Iba side, Akute, Ajuwon, or just kukuma go Abeokuta or Ibadan. Nothing dey Lagos again. If you've been living in your house before Tinubulation, just remain there in the name of whatever God you serve. The cost of rent has doubled/trippled in the last 10 months. But you will never know until you make the move to get a new apartment. |
dawnomike:Taking your landlord to court over rent increment, IMO, is a d u m b move. What happens after winning the case? Continue to live peacefully in the same house with your landlord? Just pray never to meet a c r a z y landlord. If they don't frustrate you physically, you will definitely face greater spiritual problems. |
ehikwe22:I'm not sure whether Russia or China uses the conventional democratic system of government as we've seen in South Korea. Nobody will complain about our legislators if we all agree to adopt dictatorship. |
ehikwe22:The fact that a president can face criminal charges is a hallmark of a sound country. Name one Nigerian president who has ever faced criminal charges or sat before a judge, just one. If Jacob Zuma, former South African president, can be imprisoned with handcuffs on both hands, what reason is there for that Daura man to still walk free today? Zuma didn’t commit a quarter of the atrocities we witnessed under Buhari. But hey, we live in a country of 'ranka dede', where people believe elders and ex-presidents should be immune to past, present, and future crimes. |
A sane, democratic society, unlike a certain country where legislators kneel to greet a drunken governor. The governor, in turn, uses these submissive, weak, clownish legislators to grab land and steal the wealth of his people. |
South Africans should stop demarketing their country 😀😀 |
kayperry:Focus on the context of the discussion - "the number of Lambo Urus in Lekki." |
blingxx:The only and major problem is that we don't have many Lekkis in Nigeria. If what you see in Lekki cannot be replicated in at least 15 other states, then Nigerians are poor. |
So who is demarketing South Africa cos clearly, most of the e-rats hailing your stance now often describe you and your people as xenophobic criminals? |
When it is time to organise high-profile, high-class events and owanbes for dignitaries, we always seem to ensure orderliness by deploying heavy security personnel and bouncers. Strict invitations and gate passes are also often used. So, why can’t the same measures be applied when organising events like this? To me, it reflects a broader disdain for the poor. How else can we get good photos for the gram without making the poor go through needless stress? We all know what we are doing. You can’t simply go on the radio and television and announce open invitations and freebies for children or widows and expect orderliness, especially in a society dealing with unprecedented hunger and "palliativenisation" of our social fabric. I am not sure which law might be applied against madam Prophetess even though this isn’t the first time we’ve witnessed something like this. Can never forget how the Nigerian Immigration Service invited 64,000 applicants to a 60,000-capacity stadium, killed seven people in the process and injured more than 50 others. Another government agency again organised another chaotic food distribution just this year that caused even more deaths. Yet none of the officers involved in these events were sacked or punished. They all retained their positions. On this simple basis, madam Prophetess should be freed. If the government would not do anything about this problem at the policy level, then the poor must henceforth borrow themselves some sense. If you have to risk your life and push others to their death just to eat, then your problems are probably bigger than you ever imagined. |
"We will reduce the purchasing power of the people." |
Zooposki:Another got his wrist amputated for stealing a bicycle. Meanwhile, the man who brought Sharia to the state and, by extension, Nigeria, stole $7 million from his state coffers and was granted bail. https://punchng.com/i-have-no-regrets-having-my-wrist-amputated-zamfara-sharia-court-casualty/ |
TheNiceGuy:The man who instituted sharia in Nigeria, which led to the amputation of a little boy for stealing a phone and the amputation of another young man who stole a bicycle, later went ahead to steal N1 billion (over $7 million based on 2007 exchange rate) and was taken to a normal court of law to face trial where he was later granted about N100m bail as opposed to his beloved Sharia court. One of the greatest reproach that can befall anyone in the 21st century is sharing the same society with a fundamental and radical Muslim like you. Una don really crase. |
Esthered:Everyone needs to be strong-willed, my dear, rather than being a pushover. I think oftentimes, we do things and take certain actions mainly to impress family. That in itself is not bad, but going as far as sharing garri (not out of creativity, but due to lack) is just not it at all. I would respect someone who decides not to party at all rather than one who shares ridiculous items like agbo concoctions. Thank you so much, dear. Merry Christmas to you too. I wish you the very best this season. |
Esthered:Well... 😂 |
helinues:What is this? Your own idea of local economy is road side petty trading? Ah. You want to boost "local economy" (whatever that means), but don't want to patronise local companies that are responsible for employment, real estate, VAT, and personal income tax? You want to replace Bokku (founded by Adewale Adeyemi) and Justrite malls (founded by Dr Ayodele Aderinwale and co) and their 1000+ employees with mama Nkechi and Iya Basira's 2x2 kiosk? Is this how you want to develop Nigeria? Is this what you see on TV in civilised societies? Never seen a d u m b e r take in my life tbh. This una yeye party sha. Is this how you want to waste another 8 years of your life on this failed party? 8+8+ (8 again)? |
nairalee:Will any of these points count in a civilised society? Omo, Naija is a finished country. It takes only a nonentity to impress you guys. I understand the fact that Buhari lowered the bar to point zero, but omo! |
