I spent the new year at Ogidi, I hate to admit it, but Obi is second to none in road construction, the whole of Anambra is now interconnected with good road network, it is amazing. I guess Ngige did some of the roads too.


It won't be an exaggeration to say that no state in Nigeria has better inter-town, road network than Anambra, and what made it spectacular was that Obi wasn't advertising those roads in NTA or AIT like some states were doing, so most of us that don't visit Anambra often, came to think he was doing nothing.

keep deceiving yourself, most of the stainless smooth roads in Anambra today were done by Ngige. They are even in better shape than obi roads, I drove through many of them from uga to onitsha. The real question you should be asking is who is more popular in Anambra and beyond today, despite the other ruling for 8 years. someone that stole over 50% of our IGR for 8 years while declaring 500 million and you are talking nonsense

Besides Education Obi doesnt merit an average in everyother sector he touched in Anambra state. It took him a whooping 8 years to "Lay foundation" with the immense resource(both tapped and untapped at his disposal) at his disposal. Enugu and Anambra are my homes. I will do whatever i deem right to support them. I know you are an Enugu guy and feel exasperated that i used the roundabout in Enugu as an example in Anambra thread. Similarly, i have used roundabouts and medians from Lagos, Nairobi and Kigali as examples to illustrate on how to make Chime avenue median can be made a sight to behold. Why didn't you complain then?

Yes, QRC is on the same Oguta road, just located closer to the Upper Iweka end of the road.
The picture of a roundabout with flowers and sprinklers is not Zik's roundabout. That is a roundabout in Uyo, but i posted it to illustrate that Zik's roundabout should have flowers and water fountain. I hope Zik's roundabout eventually looks better than that roundabout i posted .Perhaps what i meant was a roundabout with water fountain around Zik's statue, grass and lots of flowers around like here.

Some renovation work is going on at Zik's roundabout. Hopefully, it comes out as a piece of high quality work. I heard Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe was particularly fond of that roundabout and his statue in the center of it when he was alive. Really it's a roundabout at the heart of Onitsha town.

I hope they do a good job to transform the roundabout into a notable roundabout worth Zik's statue.... most importantly, NO advertisement sign boards should be erected inside the Zik's roundabout!
