investnow2013: 'Phased-Out' is the right word, but not when You cannot replace over half a Million jobs The state is getting from Okada!.Please think about the effects on Industries,Families, govt, Traders, Mechanics etc!. Anambra-State is Nigeria's biggest producer of Motor cycle & Motor cycle components!.Govt should rather at this difficult economic period regulate the Okada transport system instead of a blanket ban!.Job! Jobs!! Job!!!...... Please help to protect peoples jobs!. I agree with do. . .Just imagine what will become of Nnewi and surrounding towns in the absence of okada. Before government issues a blanket ban on okada, it should experiment the policy in Awka and see what will become of it. Government should be smart and slam tax on them with strict regulations. |

ILIDEFI: Doctors are not saying that JOHESU members are unimportant. They are only saying that everybody is not equal. All health workers can't be treated equally. It's impossible. And lemme ask you, why do you guys lock up everywhere when you go on strike? You guys should endeavour to leave all hospital property as you go on your strikes, and see what doctors can achieve with medical students. Again, is it not amazing that when only doctors go on strike, hospitals are shut down, but when the rest of the workers (over 90% of the work force) go on strike, skeletal services are rendered. It means that NMA alone matches up to over 7 or more JOHESU groups. Therefore each JOHESU group should only receive 1/7 of doctors' benefits. Hehehe he he he. . . I can't stop laughing. This your comment is as straight as cigarette stick. You can't treat unequal men equally. Even God treats archangels different from angels. So who are we to act differently. |

cramjones: If I did not know GEJ, looking at this picture I will think he suffers from Downs or Edward's syndrome. The word clueless falls short in describing this picture. This was a picture taken on his birthday today, and the picture shows you that the leader of Nigeria is indeed clueless. Is this the person that wants to rule Nigeria beyond 2015 (that is if Nigeria still exists)? His face tells it all. Fellows be wise, desist from voting a retard in power!

ebuetor: I for one can still remember when i was 5 years old , i was with my dad in his car at night. So while we were about to take a right turn into our street, i saw at the corner of the road a huge shining ''man'',he was shining better than a flourescent bulb, and he was as tall as an electric pole. He just stood there, like a guard. His movement were slow. As my dad slowly took the bend, i watched his face, my dad seems to take no notice of the image,so i tapped him on his arm and pointing,''daddy look at''. He looked but replied with ''what is it?''. I knew he didn't see what i saw. Up till this day, i still wonder what that being is.
Another one was when i was six year, i was in our home and my mother kept a bucket of water in the corridor , i looked closely and i saw sugar ants by the side of the bucket, mysteriously they were going inside the water on a straight line and when they get to the bottom they release themselves and float to the top, like they were under going some kind of training. I thought they were picking something at the bottom. I believe, children, when they point with their finger, they really see something we cant see. Oh sorry dear! That's AURA! Your must have suffered seizure severally as a child. |

Anyone that is seriously investing in real estate in the city must have impaired foresight. A city with no concrete plan to fight floods like Amsterdam. Blitz888: which of the abs, awka or Onitsha. I bet it's only abs Onitsha that does cos igalas are recognized in Anambra North senatorial district as an integral part of us but I bet you that abs awka has zero igala content in her programs same goes to nta awka and purity FM. Why are you contradicting yourself? In a twinkle of an eye, you have recognised that ABS Onitsha broadcasts some news contents in Igala. Now you want ABS Awka to follow suit even when Igala communities does not receive their signal. Please find something else to say. |

Klinee: Thanks for understanding, I have never get any discrimination from any part in Igboland. But what am saying is that our young one now prefer speaking igbo language to Igala language and i also give my illustration in my former post. The reason why its so is that our language is not being promoted to people in anambra. That is why i blame the government media companies for not creating igala programmes in their stations. Creating igala programme will help tell the people to know that igala exist in anambra. Also appointing igala indigene as commissioner will also help too. How about federal character principle- equity and fairness. Lets leave orient and oil for now but if u went to Otuocha you are still far from aguleri otu where the oil is located. Just go and confirm by yourself. @ Jonbee1, did you read the quote above. Why are you detractors chasing shadows? We have never discriminated against the minority in our midst. As a matter of fact, we embrace them. Anambra state does not have such policy. |
Culture › Re: Igala Language In Anambra State. by ACM10: 7:57am On Oct 12, 2014 |
Blitz888: Sir, Why is it that ABS &NTA don't read news in igala same way it's read in Igbo ?? this is just one of the lot... ABS read news in Igala after Igbo news. Get your facts right. NTA is not under state control. But do you think that there is a conscious effort to suppress Igala language in Anambra? Hell NO! On the contrary, we promote it. Unlike Yoruba and Hausa that are actively suppressing the minority languages in their midst. |

Blitz888: I am from Umunya in Oyi LGA of Anambra State. I am fluent in Igbo and igala. I can relate to the plight of the OP perfectly. we from Anambra North Senatorial district don't discriminate against the igalas. infact, they have been with us so long that we can't even tell who is igala. it's only unfortunate that other parts of Anambra State discriminate against them...thank God we now have a Sitting governor from the Anambra North senatorial district who we hope will address this injustice done to the Anambra igalas, the senatorial district and the entire omambala people which happen to be the region that generates the highest igr, that generates the highest agricultural produce for the state and also the reason why Anambra State can rightly be called an oil producing State. The Anambra igalas are not tenants in Anambra state, they are not inferior or less anambrarian to the man from Onitsha, nnewi, awka or any other part of Anambra state. they are bonafide indegenes of the state and as such are entitled to every right and privilege accorded any Anambrarian. Please can you point to one example where Igalas were discriminated against in Anambra? |
Culture › Re: Igala Language In Anambra State. by ACM10: 7:26am On Oct 12, 2014 |
Op Thanks for confirming that you have never been discriminated anywhere in Anambra and Igboland in extension on the ground of your origin. But I must caution you that Anambra can not give Igalas political office based on their tribe. We don't practice zoning and federal character system in Anambra. People are picked for political offices based on merit. Igala meje. . |
