viviangist: As the Trial of Saraki and Ekweremadu & co was proceeding, I heard the noise of a mob outside our fence. I checked out to see what's going on. Alas! The guy in the pic below is being lynched by the mob. I moved closer to find out his offense, I realized he used to go round to steal panties (especially of females) hung on the line. After being tortured for some hours, he confessed he has been in the business for a while, and he's being sponsored by some people. He said the leader pays him N500 per a panty. He claimed to come from Akinmoorin in Afijio LG. I appealed to the mob not to take law into their hands via Jungle Justice, rather they should let us hand him over to the believed "unfaithful" NPF corps. They agreed with me and we immediately invited the corps, then handed him over to them. He also confessed a "Babalawo" is their sponsor. Over to you careless households! Undies are better dried in your personal bathroom, or your living room in the absence of personal toilet/bathroom. These ritualists won't give up! As they eat faeces (deficates) here and there, look for human parts and other things for their money rituals. The "yahoo boys" internet fraudsters are also there for you greedy and never satisfied/discontented girls and women, who're gold diggers. It's time to be very careful and watchful. Honestly money-making is not an easy task, ask me and I will tell you. Stop "tripping" for extravagances as well as lavish spenders. It's good to pose at the front seat or owner's corner of Range spot and other nice cars, but do you ever ask the source of the glitters? May God guide and protect us! Over to you too RITUALISTS! And you're carried away with this quick passing brief and short world? You forgot the reality that we came with nothing and will go with nothing. All you acquired can NEVER be useful for you the moment the Angel of Death overtakes you. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, Fear Death, Fear the Grave and the day of reckoning and recompense, the day of accountability, Fear Hell, whose Fuel shall be Human and stone. All your Gas stations shall be inherited by those that could not touch your cloth when you're living. No one will ever possess more than what God Has destined for him/her. nkpommpko: Please does any other person experience this problem with his/her ATM card. I stay in abuja ,I go to the ATM to collect my cash and it vomits it a tells me thank you, this started a year ago, I changed it not too long ago and after about 10 times it went back to this strange behaviour, but when I go to the pos in the bank it accepts it I have complained and complained Ecobank do not seem to have answer, all they say is Oga get a new one. That is buy a new one, because you have to pay 1000 naira for one and when it happens again like in My case you simply buy a new one. Please some should help me inform this people that soon people have to start taking responsibility for their actions and in actions.
N02 Ecobank whats happening with you, on a Monday morning when people are trying to refill their pockets with their money ,they arrive your bank and BOOM! you tell them no service. You know what I think? Ecobank is about to implode. The best way to resolve this is to contact them on their WhatsApp number on +2348087603717. They will resolve it. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: David Cameron Resigns As Prime Minister After Britain Votes To Leave EU by AdaAnambra: 1:49pm On Jun 24, 2016 |
wengerjay: David Cameron has resigned as prime minister after Britain voted to leave the European Union.
The prime minister said Britain required "fresh leadership" to negotiate the country's exit from the EU.
"I do not think it would be right for me to be the captain that steers our country to its next destination," he said in a statement outside Downing Street.
He promised to "steady the ship" over the coming months before stepping down in October.
Mr Cameron was close to tears as he announced his decision.
The referendum, called by Mr Cameron, delivered a shock victory for the Leave campaign.
The Brexit vote immediately sent the pound tumbling and sparked calls for his resignation.
Mr Cameron said the result was the "will of the British people" which was an "instruction which must be delivered.

Politics › Re: President Buhari Did Not Say He Was Saying Rubbish During Campaign - Cola by AdaAnambra: 2:48pm On May 31, 2016 |
cola: Earlier today (31st may), a certain topic appeared on this board titled "We Were Saying Rubbish During The Campaign" - President Buhari. The OP posted 'The Cable' online news-media as his source and the thread was pushed to the front-page by some mod. In fact, though, 'The Cable' never titled the article as the OP did, but rather as "I feel pity for Lai Mohammed" -says-Buhari
The part of the article that the OP picked on to spread the misinformation and aided by the mod that pushed it to the front-page is as follows:
“Most of the permanent secretaries were sent out because it was time for some of them to go and for others for one thing or the other. Because were not part of those 16 years this is where we found ourselves and this is no joke.
“We had to cut down half the number of permanent secretaries and then do some cross postings. The permanent secretaries that were there for the past five, seven, 15 years the only thing that they know is how things were done in the previous years. Whatever we did in the campaign, in fact we were saying rubbish and that made it very difficult for us.
“Things were even more difficult during the budget which you all know about. For somebody like me, for the first time I heard what is called padding.
Now it is either the OP and his army of co-travelers on that thread are challenged with comprehension or they are deliberately and mindlessly mischievous and seeking to incite against the president.
The statement of the president should be clear to anybody with a decent education and a claim to literacy that he was talking about the attitude of the perm secs who had spent several years doing things the old way and the only way they knew how. These perm secs could not care less about all the promises of change that the president and his party were making on the campaign trail. In fact to them -these perm secs and directors of MDAs - all the talk of change were all rubbish. He said this was the reason many of them had to be relieved and others were even bold enough to 'pad' the budget - something he (the president) had never heard of in all his years in public service).
Summary: "The permanent secretaries believed we were saying rubbish" Comprenez?
This without doubt is what the president was reported to have said. The obvious twist is either a deficit of comprehension skill or a deficit of moral decency. I suspect the latter, though.
May I also request that this 'explanation' thread also deserves to be seen by all by being given the attention necessary on the front page. Thanks, sir. But is he saying rubbish though/ |

Business › Re: Open Letter To Diamond Bank Management Nigeria by AdaAnambra: 6:38pm On May 10, 2016 |
DesChyko: It was actually my sister who had this terrible experience with an Ecobank staff in Anambra State University named Obinna who works in Western Union section. She came in to make a withdrawal that was sent in via Western Union. Some documents were demanded that she didn't have so she couldn't make the withdrawal immediately. The supposedly 'kind-hearted' Obinna decided to help her out of her predicament by giving her #1,000 so she could hold up till the next time she could make the withdrawal. She believed he just gave it to her to help her. On the day she went to get the cash, Obinna told her that she'll buy him lunch o, which she interpreted as a banter as they both laughed over it. So she eventually got the cash and left. Since then, she has been going to the bank, no hassles. On this particular day, she went to the bank with a male friend and she was stopped by the security guard, who questioned her if she was owing anyone in the bank. She was quite embarrassed, and said no. The guard pointed at the man, and she began to explain what transpired between them. Suddenly, Obinna came and was insulting her, calling her a thief for running away with his money. She quickly sourced and gave him the #1,000, after which she left the bank.
What actually went wrong was this. Obinna was hoping to use his gestures to GET HER but it didn't work out, hence his barbaric behaviour. Bankers in Ecobank don't wear name tags, but he was already giving out his name when he doesn't work in Customer Service. Very silly he-goat. There is no bank that would tolerate this kind of unprofessional behavior. I suggest she contact their OMBUDSMAN on 01-2260450 to report the experience. |

hayzee545: As I am typing this, the anger that is burning inside me cannot be quantified, as this useless bank has really made me upset this afternoon.
This is the 4th time, this is happening, and it is the same excuse they keep giving which shows that the bank is regressive.
I bank with Nung Udoe, Ibeskipo branch of Eco Bank, and popular assessment defines the branch as an hallmark of inefficiency.
My Anger
This is the fourth time I'm coming to withdraw in the bank, after enduring a long queue, then being told to meet with their sluggish customer officer for BVN linking which I'ad done when registering the bank account.
And after meeting with their Operational Manager, all she has to say was that, some people gave informations that does not tally with the one they had on the BVN database, so they had to review all the accounts whose BVN has been linked, and I wonder, why customers accounts that have issue are not treated in isolation.
I guess today's annoyance is the height of their several incompetence, which led to my outburst. And moreso, I'm speaking out against the maltreatment that has frequently been meted out on voiceless residents of Ibesikpo Asuntan and its environs.
Source: http://olumoonline.com/2016/05/03/opinion-why-ecobank-is-the-most-useless-bank-ever/ Just get your BVN sorted (Registrations/Corrections where necessary) and contact their Ombudsman on 01-2260450 for further assistance. They always come through. |
