I understand your pain. ASABA hardly pays better salary. You get a job of 50k in Asaba and they say its a good pay angry. I wonder how people survive with such peanut.
i just relocated from Lagos to Asaba, was earning above 100k in Lagos and Asaba here offered me 50k job and everybody is saying its a good pay. Did it for 2month and resigned, real slavery work. The highest pay offer i have gotten from this town is 70k. Asaba needs to step up i swear.

Thank you for this valuable information. Please i wont mind getting ur contact. I need you to put me thru on how best to write a proposal cos i have signed up to like 2 of the freelance work sites.
thanks again.

Aparche:

To get remote job, you need the following:

1) A skill: what service(s) can you offer?
Example: graphic design, web design/development, UI/UX design, 3D-animation, social media management, data entry, lead generation, copy/content writing, proof reading/editing, transcription, appointment setting, Admin Assistantetc...there are so many services you can render.

If you don't have any skill, I'll advise you to choose one based on your interest & the need for it in the market and learn it.

2) A Laptop: the type you should get depends on the skill...if you're into programming or 3d animation, & maybe graphic design you need a higher grade laptop than if you're into writing.

3)High speed Internet: You can buy a modem, use wifi, etc whatever works for you.

4) Dedicated work space in your home/room: basically comfortable table & chair, so you don't develop back pain.

After getting all these things, you can then do the following:

5) Sign up to Freelance Marketplaces such as Upwork, Fiverr, People Per Hour, Freelancer...there are so many of them.

6) You can focus on any two of these...set up your profile and optimize.
And be truthful while at it...if you're from Nigeria, state that as your Country and use your real name...

7) Start sending proposals on these platforms everyday...send as many as you can, it's a game of numbers.

It won't be easy initially because you're just starting out, but if you're consistent you will get clients.

And most times, if you do a great job for them, they will keep coming back to patronize you...some may even beg ask you to become a permanent team member and offer you a salary.

Also on some of these platforms, you'll see some agencies or businesses advertising for positions... if you apply and get the job, you don get guaranteed long term remote job be that.

7) For payment: Most of these marketplaces have escrow services, which means your client pays money to them, they take their share and give you the rest...you can link your local bank account to receive your funds.
You can open a Payoneer account, you can open a domiciliary account etc...there are so many you can get your money.

Finally, anyone can do remote work... it's not for a special group of people.

Just set your mind on it, and gradually it will start falling into place.

Investment / Re: How Can I Invest ₦1 Million? by adaleng(f): 1:56pm On Oct 18, 2021
There's no investment you can do in Nigeria that will give you that much profit in a month. Anyone who promises you that is ready to scam.
my opinion is buying a landed property and develop it. its an investment that you will keep enjoying for years to come.
secondly, you can invest with Oxford international (please do google about us). i work with Oxford. There are different types of investment plan. the minimum is a period of 8month, while the maximum is 14months.
In oxford, we have Agricvest, which is investing on Agriculture. Here you get:
20% ROI in 8months
35% ROI in 12months
41% ROI in 14months.
imagine investing 1million, in one year, you have 350k. even if this money is kept in the bank, you don't get this much return.
there are other investment packages as well. Also you can acquire a property with oxford and your mind will be at rest.
Part of the guarantee we give is, post dated cheque, Deed of Agreement that has a legal seal. Also our farms are insured with Leadway insurance.
contact me on whatsapp lets talk more +2348062866464
Thank You.

Hello Nairalanders…

So I’m looking for a good way/means of investing up to N1m. I currently don’t live in Nigeria (though I still have family and friends there, so keep in mind I won’t be able to manage a business there in person), and I’ve been looking for the best investment to do with N1m.”

I send money home every month, so I thought it would be best if I can have an investment in Naija that could generate maybe N300k to N400k monthly, so that I don’t have to send money home anymore. The N1m for investment/business is flexible, that means I could do past the N1m if necessary. I need only solid suggestions please.

Mods please do justice to this.

So i had to google Vertigo and it does have different cures. it all depends on what the cause of it. And you can get better health care when you leave this country.
900k might look like alot of money to you until you rent an apartment and you will see how quickly ur account goes down. you were able to save because you had free accommodation and NO GIRLFRIEND. Trust me once you have this 2, kiss saving goodbye.
so i'd suggest you 4get about renting a house and a girl for now. Altho there are girls who can date you even if you don't have your own accommodation.she can even support your dream. Go for such ladies.
Secondly, apply for scholarship for your Phd programme outside the country cos ur 900k wont cover o. Then learning the skill you talked of is a great idea. secure your future and you will see girls running after you.
Fashion / Re: Should I Tell Her (my Wife) That Her Hair Is Not Fine? by adaleng(f): 8:58am On Oct 02, 2021
you bought her the attachment but never told her the style to make. women don't buy attachments to make the style on the pack. Am sure if you did, she would have made exactly that. she made the style she likes.
its good you complimented it. you could just add babe is this your not going to be inconveniencing you? then tell her ext time she should make the style on the pack, that you like it.
you can buy it again and give her. just allow her rock this hair.
