My advice is for you guys to go and get busy with something else as nobody cares, nobody owes you nothing in this life. APL will be released when it serves "their" interest.

I think social media has really amplified life challenges to be “peculiar” to Nigeria. I smile whenever I see people discussing issues or any challenge and the I hear Nigeria has “failed” us.

Yes, Nigeria is struggling as we have had mixture of good and terrible leaders in between but life happens to everyone irrespective of the country or wherever you are.

Now back to the issue of jobs, the government cannot provide job for over 50m employable Youths. Even the private sector cannot provide that much job in a developing nation. Even a country as developed like US or Canada has millions of Artisans. If you have anyone in these countries, ask them the kind of jobs that’s scattered around. You see plumbers, mechanics, capernters, welders, painters and the likes but ask our Youth to go gain soft skills to make ends meet and you start hearing all sort. The ignorance/arrogance that they are too big for these kind of jobs is alarming.

If you attended Public Varsity in Nigeria, you have no moral right to say “Nigeria hasn’t done anything for me”. Nigeria public university is the cheapest in the world. It’s funny how those we schooled in Ife and paid around 15k per session which is about $50, come out and still lambast the government that gave them “almost free” tertiary education. Go calculate how much Engr, Medicine, Law, Accounting and the likes cost in these foreign universities and you will see Nigeria education is 97% subsidized.

I once read a thread on Twitter where some people in the US were lamenting how they are stuck with student loan they took while pursuing their degree. Imagine owing $120,000 to get a degree, after 7 years of constant monthly repayment you are still owing about $130k. Most of you finished University debt free, be grateful to the nation that made it possible. Nigeria has not done anything for you, what have you done for Nigeria?

There are a lot of people going through life challenges everywhere. May we find comfort in every aspect of our life.

Nnpc keeping mute could be to our advantage though, imagine them announcing APL will be out next week, that week will be a pressure filled week for them from people trying to influence. However in my opinion 5 months after the conclusion of a project phase without any direct feedback (the "soon" was at a town hall meeting, not to applicants) should naturally generate impatience, how we manage this differs. If they've told us from onset that it will take one year, nobody go dey this thread . when things are open ended like this, except you aren't dealing with human beings, it will always generate curiosity. I went for a recruitment and before stage 1 of 5, we were all debriefed on when we would resume. They could have communicated this to us at least but like i always say, your only offence is that you are a nigerian. Las las we go dey alright. In my opinion, everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, afterall this same people will eventually at one point or the other use their discretion when finally employed to make decisions at the corporation level without your input(while you are busy using your own discretion at ur own SBU too) Mafo!

As a GT, we are young and most life defining decisions will be made at this stage, should we delay making these decisions because an anticipated feedback from an organization is holding us at ransom?
I got to the final stage of Shell's recruitment last month and I got a feedback 4 days after the interview (I was regretted). That's how things should be done. We all need this job but they should pls help us to make early decisions.
To get money to eat or barb these days is war and I'm only postponing relocating to a bigger city to start whatever hustle I find because of NNPC.
If you had a contract bid with NNPC would u have waited this long b4 seeking for a feedback? APL wey majority no go get sef is now threatening our sensibility on doing what is reasonable.

I got a feedback from access bank the same day I was interviewed!! I was regretted too but I got to move on with my life immediately.
