arresa:Further proof that you are congenitally bereft of how to think logically and analytically read and apply data.. Google can't help you with those, but can help in showing how sophiticatedly ignorant you are- their existing partnership in UAE was built and paid for UAE, but in ur delusional mind, they are going to build it for you??- dude you been played and scammed!! |
arresa:I'm no in need to educate you, but to further display ur sophisticated ignorance of how things work in a civilised clime. It has already has a partnership model- Cleveland Abu-Dhabi which is a working model, so it would like model any new partnership after it. I was alluding to the fact that Cleveland Clinic would charge more if it were to monetise its brand for licensing in such a deal. |
OlujobaSamuel:What's wrong in building a damned hospital? But don't tell me that it's PPP with Cleveland Clinic when a project of such magnitude gulped $2bn in a more civilised clime? But the same govt told us that it was building a 35km rail project at $1.2bn and to be completed 2 yrs back.. It seems half- abandoned while a similar project in Adis Ababa was completed at $475m |
Mojoy88:Sorry bro! I have small brain and I love to break figures down. Instead of 30% capital budget, why dont u tell a businessman on a budget that he's going to spend N100 in a month, N60 would come from his pocket while N40 would be borrowed. Then he would use N70 to pay for drinks, church/mosque dues, paying his office assistant and then would invest only N30 in buying his goods.. Meanwhile, borrowed N40 attracts an annual interest of 15%. He will be bankrupt in a month! |
arresa:because those figures and facts are beyond ur cognitive and analytical abilities. They seem like puzzle to ur blocked encephalon.. Google can't help! They're above ur paygrade. We are different! You derive satisfaction in self-deceit and delusion when your hero-Politrickians lie to you, but I do not! |
arresa:No need to waste intellectual energy on you! Answer these questions!! There is no such precedent of big health institutions doing it Naija way. It's operating in other climes where a govt builds and picks up the cost of running it, but in Naija it's different because we're the most favored and loved people in this world? They have their industry-wide practice which is to bring their expertise and host country will foot the bill. Harvard has the same partnership with Dubai and it's paid for by Dubai!! I'm still asking you to show me any statement from Cleveland Clinic corroborating this PPP Btw, St Barnabas health system is the largest hospital system in New Jersey and it hasn't acknowledged this PPP deal?? |
I'm fostermd:Thank you for making an insightful contribution to this topic. But then how could Naija have landed a smarter deal with Cleveland Clinic? N49bn is a PPP contribution, so Cleveland could be handing sweet and subsidised deals to Nigerians while at the same over-charging Arabians and Americans. MRI machines are not going to be cheaper in Nigeria. Also, Cleveland Clinic has non-for profit status in the U.S., it could not enter into a PPP to make money, but it's also not designed to lose money. As per Naija being a huge market, yes and no. Yes, populatio wise; no, how many Nigerians with per GDP of $3000 can afford Kidney transplant cost of $10,000 in India not to of talk about U.S. cost of $20k? I'm still conviced that Cleveland Clinic and St Barnabas don't have much to do with this project.. There is little of skin in the game for them!! Their operating revenue is $7.2bn annually; what does Lagos bring to the table? |
arresa:What a thick-skulled _fucktard.. You have been clobbered with facts! |
Mojoy88:You just contradicted urself. Debt to GDP ratio is going up now since FG decided to absolve debt portfolio of states into FG's debt portfolio... Out debt stockpile is going while our GDP is contracting.. Recession is staring us in our face. Another discussion for another day FG is borrowing for recurrent expenditure since you didn't know that.. Just the presidency increased its budget by N15bn when such huge amount could been used in providing permanent shelter to women and kids in IDP. Ministries reduced from 40 to 19 yet cost of governance is higher than it was when we had 40 ministries-how come? N30 out of every N100 will be spent on capital project when the government is borrowing about N45 out of every N100 to fund the budget. So where doed the borrowed N15 go?? chop money for Politrickians. |
Naija and their wilful selective memory.. So foreigners that were kidnapped in ND didn't pay ransom to get their freedom? How about the pirates that intercepted ships at the high sea? It was done to highlight the wrong done ND people and nobody paid ransom? The truth is, the media and Naija cared more when they started kidnapping Naija folks!! |
mapet:There is no such precedent of big health institutions doing it Naija way. mapet:Refer to my last post. It's already been answered! Abu Dhabi paid and built the hospital- Cleveland Clinic is a hospital and doesn't manufacure hospital equipment, who is going to pay for those? Cornell Univetsity has the same partnership with Quatar and it was paid for the Quataris, but in Naija we hope for a miracle- a.k.a scam!! |
Mojoy88:The answer is that the govt is borrowing about 40% of the total money.. The govt reduced rhr ministries by half and still increased the cost of running govt by 40%.. There is N500bn budgeted for special program to be spent at GMB's discretion.. There is no minster nor an administrator for this fund. Meanwhile ministries of works and housing, education all will allocation of about N400bn.. So actual ministries got smaller allocation than non-existing minstry |
dgr8truth:Most importantly, OBJ, Yar'dua and GEJ did it with N4tn, but GMB increased the budget by 50% to N6tn and still pegs capital expenditure at 30%. So a good budget from a serious minded govt would have been 50% capital project. There is no need borrowing to balloon recurrent expenditure-chop money by 50% |
Phobia1:How much do you think a SQF of land goes for in Abu Dhabi? Maybe 1Naira-- so LASG isn't going to monetize its land?? |
arresa:because you want to believe in ur hype but it's so untrue Cleveland Clinic would charge more than N49bn to license its name out to be used by another entity like LASG. Here govt is not bringing in cash but only land and in Abu Dhabi, govt brought land and built the hospital, so why the preferential treatment? because Naija is a better negotiator or that Cleveland Clinic loves Naija more than Abu Dhabi? What's LASG bringing to the table? It's more expensive in Naija to build a world class hospital than in Abu Dhabi? Ask global Hospitsliry brands- IHG-Intercontinal, Hilton, Sheraton, Radisson etc why their hotels cost 4 4x times more in Naija? Cleveland Clinic is the best hospital in the world and cannot allow its standard to be lowered to meet Naija standard. Like I keep saying there is no acknowledgement of this joint venture between LASG while Abu Dhabi venture was all over the place? It's like GE/Microsoft having a joint venture with LASG and there is no high ranking representative from the company?? Sorry to question things critically is not part of our Naija way. Whenever you question things they say you are hating while their story is riddled with holes. |
sainty2k3:Typical Naija mentality. High on emotion but lazy and allergic to facts. Lack of comprehension skills! Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is over $2bn venture http://www.modernhealthcare.com/article/20090907/NEWS/309079982 Why do we have too many willfully ignorant folks in Naija? |
sainty2k3:What a display of congenital odiocy! Abu Dhabi built and paid for the hospital while LASG is not paying nada.. Not going to happen! |
Sounds like another scam is cooking like ENRON and Tinubu?? There is no public statement from Cleveland Clinic-one of the best hospitals in world acknowledging this partnership.. This is like Harvard or Apple of medicine joining a partnership with a govt agency -without monetizing their brand and intellectual equity?? And LASG is only putting land?? Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi is joint partnership between their govt and UAE. |
Enesi47:What a product of Naija jaundiced education! |
deliveryboy:By their fruit you shall know them! I know about you and ur ilk.. Loud as a bike and cant kill a fly in a fruit fight. Easily gullible, intellectualy lazy to process thoughts and make informed decisions. Always boisterous and braggadocious to think and see beyond their tribal and religious affinity .They're sophisticatedly ignorant; thinking that everyone who criticises their hero-Politrickian, is an enemy of the country. They're hard-wired not to admit that they're wrong even when facts disputing their position have made available to them. They think that Naija can be saved by hero-worshipping; that a great country is built around individuals instead of great institutions. Folks like you think that this a revenge mission- past govts did it therefore, their hero should do it threefold. Folks like us believe that we have made too many mistakes and there is a "fierce urgency of now" to fix things. I could care less if ur hero is made a lifetime president cos I have nothing to lose cos my life doesn't depend on payout from Naija politrickians. All I care for is , for Naija to get it right I'm sorry to bring you the bad news that Naija isn't going to get it together with ur type of mindset. All those politrickianss have little or no faith in Naija- there is always a back up country for them- they either train their kids abroad or have investment abroad- some acquire dual citizenship. Keep wallowing in self deception that you are better off because somebody won and lost the election, I have been on this forum for about 10yrs, check my post before 2015 presidential elections. |
deliveryboy:What a troll without encephalon.. You didn't even try to answer the question. What's the connection between accident that happened in Ibadan with mostly non-Igbo fatalities and Igbos.. NIL So Igbos killed in Agatu, Oyo, Delta, and Enugu states? |
FIFA remembers but Naija never does! |
Enesi47:Why are so many folks congenitally and sophisticatedly ignorant? What has an accident in Ogun state got to do with Igbos ![]() |
T Excuzeme:Thank you! Most Nigerians and their penchant for reaping without sowing. Don't tell me it's poverty, this is pure greed; inordinate quest amongst most Nigerians to take without adding value. Why are you scooping spilled fuel that does not belong to you when you know that you can get burnt to ashes?? I was caught up in Accra morning traffic, a friend wanted to buy Wrigleys gum from a street hawker and he only had $1 bills, he grabbed one pack from the hawker's tray and handed him $1 instead of 1Cedi...($1=1.5cedis) . He couldn't find any change, then apologized and wanted to give us back our money in an exchange for his pack of gum. We asked him to keep the money.. It then struck me to run a social experiment in Lagos traffic. At first we gave street hawkers N1000 for a N150-200 item, none brought back any change, instead they would switch lanes to completely go out of our sight. There is a Shylock mentality amongst most Nigerians; they think that almost everyone who seems well off must have stolen from the system, therefore, it's their turn to get a pound of flesh from the person. |
oveed:What a display of sophitiscated idiocy! |

Samakus:My friend hard work is a noun and so is determination. It's grammatically incorrect to say that " IT" pays when you're referring to 2 nouns. " IT" qualifies hard work or determination, but "THEY" qualifies both hard work and determination and cannot be used with a singular verb! |
Pestilences going with (is).. Members of staffs.. Who does everyone want to be a blogger, but doesn't want to study to improve their writing skills? |
Shouldn't it be " hard work or determination" pays or " hard work and determination" pay? Rule of concord- singular verb goes with singular noun or pronoun. |
He thinks that he can sue his wife and win when they're still legally married? What a dunce! |
One thing he can't do: Leave city life to become a herder. He can't leave a life of opulence and extravagance behind to live with those young little boys with no education and bright future. |
