Big fat lie.
He flew coach to London on a couple of occasions. You need to overcome your delusion and deception that he's no frugal guy. Pls explain when he increased presidency budget by N15bn??

Because there is hardship doesn't mean that those who have the money should not live life to the fullest. What is all these?

Wow...wow...wow cheesy

I have got a lot of mentions for the statement I made above. People need to understand that even in difficult times, some people are soaring high. Now I will not because it is 'hard times' for others deprive myself or family member the sweet things of life.

Buhari as president and his family deserves to fly first class. It does not make him any less or more, a performer. If he said during his campaign that he wouldn't fly first class, but now he is flying, that is a dent on his integrity and has nothing in defense to do with the comment I made.

I pray to fly a private jet, I don't know about you! cool
But GMB was flying coach during the campaign and painted of picture of frugality? Typical Naija mentality of always waiting for the turn to steal. Your odds of flying a private jet in Naija are like 1-20million. So pray harder for Politrickians to fix the road. Why won't GMB and his family fly 1st class when he allocated N15bn more to the presidency in2016 than GEJ did in 2015.
PoliticsRe: NLC To Senators: Return Exotic Cars Or Face The Wrath Of Nigerians by adconline(m): 1:07am On Apr 19, 2016
They should start with GMB who allocated N15bn-40% more to the presidency than GEJ did in 2014. Not a fan of NASS, but if they are going to approve GMB's budget, they must also compensate themselves.. Failure of leadership on GMB's part to lay a frugal pathway to an economy recovery. He has ballooned recurrent expenditure thru borrowing

Jonathan helped Jonathan lose!! He lived in a bubble of sycophancy and appeasement.. He let everyone pick from the cookie jar and very soon the jar was empty.
GMB is walking on the same path of delusion of grandeur.. He's surrounded himself with sycophants and very many professional Politrickians with no real exprience on how to get things done. He prefers fraternity over competence; he prefers blind loyalty over professionalism; he prefers fear over honesty; he prefers confidants over brains..

I would insult anybody who would choose suffering as against development for the sake of bigotry.

I can recollect years ago when I provided state government funded boreholes in a certain part of Nigeria.

The day we arrived a location, one jobless youth asked why we were carrying out investigations even in the presence of the village head.

We explained what the purpose of our being there was for. The dimwit then went ahead to say his community did not need anything from the governor and that's why they didn't vote him in.

To think this was a community ravaged by Guinea worm.

Needless to say he was quickly packaged by his own catchment. I know for a fact he eventually paid a fine to the traditional hierarchy for his indiscretion.

I repeat, only a cretin would prevent development coming to his very community especially on the basis of bigotry.

Jonathan's government has come and gone people should learn to live with it.
The signature of this regime is divisiveness ladened with blame. Why are u blaming S/S/E when the supposed rail project wasn't included in the original proposed budget in the beginning. This is an afterthought project and NASS has he right to remove or add something to the budget.
Why didn't GMB make it his signature bill? He made sure that his presidency budget got an increment of 40% about N15bn while he's now blaming everyone but himself
What I hate about GMB is his hypocrisy. What is the justification for increasing presidency budget by N15bn when he's asking Nigerians to make sacrifice?
I don't like NASS, but they see that GMB has allocated N15bn more than GEJ did in 2015 and they might as well decide to "reward" themselves with new cars..

Nigeria could also sell oil in Yuan. I'm no economist, but wouldn't that assist with increasing our Yuan reserves? Then again, and perhaps this question goes to the economists, since this is a swap, does it mean that the Naira-Yuan will be exchanged at a rate immune to market forces of demand and supply? Sorry if that's a bumb question.
Highly unlikely cos oil prices/futures are set in dollars at New York Mercantile Exchange, but our balance of trade with China will be in Yuan.

Typical Naija hypocrisy.. All those kids begging on the street and not enrolled in school aren't going to be better than this kid born to Adenugas. We pretend to "love"kids and family yet we have over 12mlllion kids not enrolled in school. We force female kids into marriage.. A " bastard" born to Adenuga is 1 million times better than most of Naija kids born in a family of husband and wife.

I'm not sure if Obiano is going to have enough saved like Obi when he leaves office.

"U.S Market Panics Over Potential Dollar
Crash As Buhari Signs Currency Deal With China.
Economic pundits have likened this agreement to his 1984 military regime policy when he directed the Apex Bank to cause a change in the colors of the Nigerian currency.

The exercise was designed to render the money alleged to have been stolen by Nigerian political leaders useless in their hands.

In a bid not to devalue, Buhari according to experts is seeking for a way to weaken the dollar dominated currency by approving Yaun to be one of the nation’s major foreign exchange currencies."

The DRC desperately needs energy to grow. This mineral-rich expanse the size of Western Europe is Africa’s fourth most populous country but also one of its poorest. The International Monetary Fund estimates the DRC’s gross domestic product per capita at $171 – placing it last among the 180 countries studied last year. That’s lower in real terms than when the DRC threw off colonial rule by Belgium in 1960. In addition to myriad social and political challenges, economic growth is thwarted by a dearth of reliable electricity. The DRC’s mining-rich eastern Katanga province and Kinshasa province already suffer a net shortfall of 1,400 megawatts that holds back growth.

And the DRC’s investment shortfall is particularly severe. The state power utility, the Société Nationale d’Électricité (SNEL), delivers electricity to just 7% of the DRC’s 68 million people. Revitalizing and extending the hydropower works at Inga is the centerpiece of plans by the government in Kinshasa, SNEL and numerous international partners who aim to re-energize the DRC, underpin its economic future and secure its tenuous democracy. Yet, after a decade of struggle amidst ongoing violence, political divisions and mismanagement, dividends are elusive and frustration is rising.

But they choose to take the money, allocate it to other projects that wasn't included. So, who is really deceiving who?

I guess OP targeted folks like you by blaming PDP instead of blaming APC and PDP and you fell for it hook line and sinker. He projected a false narrative that GMB wanted to do this for your region while your senators rejected when in fact other senators were involved. Sen Goje, APC is the chairman of appropriation. There are more APC senators in the house than PDP, how come APC didn't convince fellow members to vote for it?

Its funny how you can deduce someone's origin from his posts on a faceless forum.

A direct link to the commercial nerve centre of the country will open up business opportunities and increase economic activities. Movement of raw materials will become easier. As for the SW being a beneficiary, two wrongs can never make a right. That they kept quiet doesn't doesn't make the silence of the SS right.

Now to why I included the SE. SS and SS are next door neighbours more or less. Developments in the SS will have trickle effects in the SE. You might want to ask why I'm concerned. I want development for my people. We deserve to live the good life too.

These politicians that you seek to defend have accumulated so much that many generations to come in their lineage will never suffer whereas I lost an uncle on Monday because of inadequate medical care. If I have any hatred in my heart, its for those bloody thieves (both APC and PDP) who have robbed me and my family of the basics of life. And if you're one of them(political thieves), then I hate you too!
The OP made it that PDP senators sabotaged GMB's idea when in fact APC senators represent states in SW where its region stands to gain a lot from the project

Who would you expect to protect the interest of the SS, SW senators, right?

The SS needs that project more and it behoves the SS senators to push for it.
So a rail project from Calabar to Lagos is only going to impact SS economically?? Why not show how SW senators fought to keep this project in their region? What does SE have to do with this project?
If S/S senator didn't fight for this project, same logic can be applied to SW senators that didn't for the project.
