That's right.........I have seen that on their site and you have to pay £100 annually for maintenance fee etc.

Who are the accounts meant for.....only business people?

I wouldn't mind though if one can withdraw the money in Naira without extra charges etc

I want to open an account with one of the 9ja banks in London. I can see that GTB for instance has a branch around Oxford Circus which is not far from my office. Can anyone tell me how easy it is to deposit in London and withdraw in 9ja.
Is any other bank better in this regards and what's your experience if you have an account with GTB or others

Just wondering if anyone based in the UK applied for a dutch visa (transit etc) recently. I am thinking of going to KLM to 9ja in December and their site says Nigeria is among the countries they need to scrutinize extra which is not surprising really. I just want to get people's experience really.

I am looking to help my mother sell her plot of Land in Obadore.This is the one around LASU as I guess there is another in Lekki area.
She has owned this land for some 15 years and she has all the papers. The area is being developed and a couple of weeks ago, she was informed that some people are trying to build on the land. I have advised here that she has to sell it if she is not ready to build and obviously she is not ready to build as she has retired and most income she is getting is for her maintenance etc. She was hoping one of us (the children) may like to build on it but no one is interested in it really at this time.

I tire for our goverment o. It is only in 9ja that government will never make life easy and still victimise whoever does.
As someone has rightly said, if they are so concern about the safety of these vehicles, they should set-up or use existing centres to ensure the vehicles conform and pass any tests when converted.
Really I don't blame them because they use new cars with our emblezzle money and will still go after the poor people who try to make life a bit comfortable for themselves.
Accidents happen in 9ja anyway and I'm sure the so-called FRSC cannot produce any figures to support whatever argument they may put forward.
Almost all limo and Escalade and all the Hummers in the UK are LHD and the gov have not confiscated them.
All these our blind leaders should face to the real problems or get a life.

When we try to compare 9ja to the so-called developed countries directly, we are not being realistic. It took them sometime before they got to that stage. We have to expect mainly gradual but sometimes rapid changes. e.g first, let's get the police away from the road blocks and individuals they are assigned to to where they are really needed and them to concentrate on the tasks at hand.

For them to be I.T compliant etc is secondary to an extent in a place like 9ja. You will have to give almost all of them some basic IT training etc.
Asking for 1 or 2 police officers to wander round the neighbourhood is also a bit premature for 9ja at this stage. These should be the directions but sincerely we are not ready and equip for that journey at this stage in time.

We need to be realistic. What we should expect from the Police in a 'developing country' like ours is basic policing at this stage and nothing extra

I have to admit this is one of the sad influence that the western world/culture is having on countries like Nigeria even though I reckon gays exist in Nigeria from time immemorial.

What baffles me most is how the so called gays and lesbians expect to re-produce. If their parents have been like them, they wouldn't exist and this world they are toying with will have come to an absurd end sooner than expected.

Even funny enough, some religious leaders want to be recognise as gays, is it by force to remain in church etc. The Bible to preach from dismiss that.

This was a sad story, I know the boy and I have been to his house to sympathise with family.

It was such a bizarre case considering the fact that he was killed and the white guys involved buried him so that there won't be any traces of him. But because of his family's prayers and his spirit that won't allow the killers to rest, one of the guys went to report the case hence why the case is out in the air. More bizarrely, the press seems to be showing no interest! for a case which is that serious!

I have been seeing this list of the benefits Gaddafi gives to his people. Can someone who has lived in Libya or really sure of all the content of this list confirm it?

It's just unbelieve-able to me!

However true the list is, I still know for sure that he has sent some citizens of the country to exile and even went after them there, but please confirm all in the above list if you are sure.
