Politics › Re: Union Reject As FG Increases Hazard Allowance From ₦5,000 To ₦40,000 For Doctors by addexx: 10:33am On Dec 25, 2021
Tumbulum:
I understand but also remember that doctors are one of the highest paid government employees in Nigeria.

Don't also forget that medical school is almost free in Nigeria apart from the people who passed through private universities.

How much do government pay the teachers who impacted the knowledge in them from primary to secondary and university?
Earning less than $500 in a whole month is what you are calling highest paid?. How do you guys reason like this. As against the WHO standard of at least $3000 per month. On top of that you still owe them salaries for months. They are just asking for hazard allowance to be reasonable in respect of the hazard they face on a daily basis. What is 40k nitori olorun.

Most women can't handle the role and pressure that comes with it. They'll eventually blow off or disrespect the man or cheat on him or publicly embarrass him. This I've seen many times. A man can provide for yrs without issues and without plastering it on the face of his wife.

Career › Discussion: Follow Your Talents And Passion Or Follow The Bag?!!! by addexx(op):
Hey guys. Been meaning to ask.

Given the current economic situation globally. Especially of our dear country.

If you had the chance of chosing between achieving your lifelong ambition
or
following a path that leads to plenty money and comfort but you'll probably have to forfeit the other ambition for life.

What would you do?

Ever heard of the starving artist phenomenon. You might have been stuck chasing your dreams to the detriment of your personal welfare in terms of finances and also the amount of time you're losing to this. Should it still be worth chasing?

Or do you still believe so much in your dreams to keep on persevering?

What's the thin line?

Please share your opinions, experiences and life lessons.

Romance › Re: I Am In Love With A Married Woman Who Runs A Spa In Lekki by addexx: 6:51pm On Nov 24, 2021
LoverJoe89:
Dear NLs,

I need help with my predicament. I just discovered a lounge where I normally hang out to watch sports and chill. Apparently the lounge also has a Spa that is managed by this beautiful married lady who is a mother of 3 children that are in University and one in final year of secondary school. I started crushing on this woman for some time now and I cant seem to take my mind of her. She is a tall, dark stallion with nice hips, ass and a very sweet voice.

We got talking the moment I went to her Spa to make some inquiries about her spa services and whether she runs home service as well. Along the line, she gave me her contact details and we have been chatting frequently. The thing is that I am madly in love with her but I don't know how to express my feelings and desires towards her.

I don't intend snatching her from her husband but I just want to have a romantic relationship with her but don't know how I will go about it.

I am a graduate in my mid 20s from Leed City University Ibadan with a degree in Engineering. I don't usually have issues in getting women but this has posed much of a challenge to me because I am deeply in love with a married woman.

Thoughts of her sometimes drives me to masturbation and it's driving me nuts. Please I need help on this matter.
undecided you need help for what exactly??

The only help I can render to you is medical.

Education › Re: Are Certificates Really Overrated? What I Saw In My Uncle's House by addexx: 8:16am On Nov 20, 2021
NoApology:
So one of my uncles that is based overseas is billed to come home this Xmas, as such a lot of cleaning and fumigation has been going on in his house in readiness for his come back.

I went this morning to supervise the work going on there. I went inside of the stores by the car house and saw this old metal cabinet and I decided to check what's inside. Lo and behold, I found in the midst of old paper files and debris my uncle's Nigerian certificates! Omo!

Rats has eaten some portions of the certificates. I scanned through and discovered that he was,by his Nigerian qualifications, below average. This is the same man that is an internationally sort after lawyer both in the country and overseas where he resides.

This got me wondering with so many questions on my mind:
1. Are certificates really overrated?

2. Does it really come a time in our lives (apart from death) when our certificates becomes irrelevant?

3. Is it not obsolete to measure ones intelligence based on exam performances? ( My uncle would have been jobless or better still a charge and bail lawyer at best going by his academic performance)

4. And why do Nigerians perform better in almost everything when the leave this country? Are we too stringent or is a reflection of our flawed system?
So what's he using to practice as a lawyer both home and abroad? Not same certificates?

I must commend you for this. Minding our business has cost us a lot of lives in this country. We no longer our brothers keeper.
When she comes for her phone, agree to release it on condition that you both would go to the nearest police station to report and get necessary information on the right channels to involve in this matter. This is a step to avoiding a major disaster.
