Donmams: One thing i'm proud of is that the entire south, with all its education and intellectuals does not have anyone close to Buhari and Murtala Mohammed. Pure lie, there are many that are far better than these you mentioned above. Awolowo, Tunde Idiagbon, Bola Ige, Abraham Adesanya etc. Even these ones are much good leadership, credible n foresighted than the so called names u mentioned above |

joie12: Hello guys, am kinda getting fustrated here, am in France and i needed to get some documents legalised in Nigeria, my documents were sent to the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs in Abuja and it was legalised, well so they said. And the legalisation was done or showed A LIGHT WHITE STAMP writing '' MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS LEGAL DIVISION SERVICE; It was written round the Nigeria flag logo and a blue pen SIGNATURE at the back of each documents. Now here in France i was told that wasn't enough that, It wasn't written '' LEGALISED'' on the documents and there should be a STAMP, showing '' LEGALISED on each documents with a signature of whoever that legalised the documents. IS THAT TRUE? Bro please get it right, I think there is a difference between Documents authentication n Document legalisation, the former is done @ the ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After the documents has been authenticated @ the two ministries then U take such documents to the Embassy for Legalisation. The former is only to confirm to the embassy that the document(s) is/are genuine and real (not fake) before the embassy will now "Legalise" it. So U still av to take the authenticated documents by these 2Mins. (Min of edu + MFA) to the Embassy for legalisation thus doing you will not av any problem again in France |

Fellow Nairalander, a number of questions baffle me on how to legalise my academic documents @Belgium embassy here in Nigeria for admission into University of Ghent . These issues are itemised below please help address the issues to the best of your knowledge. ~ I was able to copy the information below from the VHS website - - - - - - - - - - - - "The embassy of Belgium is only allowed to legalize original documents or 'Certified copies' Original documents or 'Certified copies' A 'Certified copy' must bear: - The mention 'Certified copy' - The signature and the seal from the institute that originally issued the document. " - - - - - - - - - - - - 1. My question on the above information is: How do I go about getting "Certified copy" of my documents although I have the originals of these documents? Do I make clear and clean photocopies of these my documents and have the signature and the seal from the institute that originally issued the document on it. Will this be solution to the issues raised on their site as I paste it above 2. From VHS websites - - - - - - - - - - - - The Belgian embassy in Nigeria only legalises the signature of the authorities at the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign affairs in Abuja. Please make sure that before coming to the embassy the document is signed by this authority. - - - - - - - - - - - - My question on the above information is: Do I have to travel to Nigerian Ministry of Foreign affairs in Abuja to have these documents signed again by the said Ministry? 3. From VHS websites - - - - - - - - - - - - .......which he/she submits to the legalisation department of the embassy, together with the documents to be legalised. These documents must be originals. Belgian officials may refuse documents that are older than 6 months. - - - - - - - - - - - - My question on the above information is: Do I have to Submit my ORIGINAL documents along with the documents also what did they mean by saying " Belgian officials may refuse documents that are older than 6 months." 4. Lastly, how long does it take by the embassy to legalised documents? |

tobiloba82: What i mean is that you must present an account balance worth 6228 euros and the cash must have been there for at least a year. Also documents attached will be legalised and it is 15 euros per document. The embassy will legalise d documents for you.
