All applications that require biometrics now start from "IP2". Some don't even change till PPR. Fear not

Jaymamma:
AOR - Jan 31 and BG is showing IP2 since AOR

Just noticed today tho.

Is this a technical glitch?

Use the dates you actually started working and stopped. That's the period you have payment evidence for. And yes NYSC is for a year including the first few weeks in camp. Search the thread for the stories of those that successfully used NYSC experience for their applications. All the best with IELTS. You've got this!

Prettiepearlz:

I am grateful for this, you all have been helpful. Please to clarify things further, Am I safe to use the dates in which I started working as a Corp member, i.e from January to December 2017 (I included January because I believe the dates start counting from the date you entered camp) or I should just go ahead with the dates on discharge certificate which reads 24th October 2016 to 24th November 2017? (I understand that I don't have to submit my discharge certificate)
@adebee16 I intend following your advice to ace my IELTS as I can only afford to write it once. I look forward to seeing your response. Thank you

You don't have to submit your NYSC bank statements with your application.

If you get an ADR for your NYSC bank statements, you will submit what you have and use a LOE to explain the way you just did here.

In addition @prettiepearlz , you are also not required to submit discharge certificate.

Hmmmm. If IELTS is holding you back, especially after so many attempts, please I beg of you, go back to basics. The foundation is quite poor for a lot of us but we believe because we communicate well in English and write memos and the likes at our workplaces, it means we are ok and should be able to pass IELTS. Sadly as is evident, it's not so. Acing IELTS transcends brilliance and intelligence. There are so many common errors. Been/Being, Where/Were, Lose/Loose, Its/It's/is, I can go on and on. On here and Twitter or Facebook you'd see a lot of these words mixed up. Unfortunately, we don't like being told the truth, we see those that are blunt with us, those that show us our shortcomings as being antagonistic or enemies of progress. Even our friends don't correct our "gbagauns". Please I plead with you in the name of whichever God(god) you serve or whatever you believe in, If you are struggling with IELTS. Get an English Tutor if you can afford one (not necessarily IELTS tutor), go back to basics;buy books for beginners (brighter grammar and the likes), there are several resourceful apps and websites (learnenglishdotbritishcouncildotorg).

Two major areas that need attention from my experience.

- Vocabulary development (synonyms, antonyms, contextual meanings)
- Grammar and Punctuation.

**The great book says: Study to show yourself approved...**

All the best and don't ever give up.

But we cant register into the pool his Iqas transcript hasn't been processed yet. It was delivered since October 26 last year 2018.IQAS it's that bad. Well we ve started gathering documents small by small 445 no be moi moi score abeg. So amongst gathering documents can we go get the PPC down also. Hope it doesn't expire. I am guessing we Wld get ITA sometimes in April or may. Cause Iqas has decided to be unfortunate with their time frame

Yes, it is Master's.

I cannot access my transcript as the school is bent on not giving it individuals. However, I might have to go with your suggestion. That is, using start date as 2015 and end date as 2017 thus having two years as my duration.

As per my final question: I studied at NOUN. I was working full time while studying. This is possible since NOUN is a distance education institution. My employment reference letter states 40hrs a week as my wprking time (that is 8hrs a day). My question is, is I select full time (15hr/wk) under the education section, will it conflict with my work experience for the same period which i have also stated as full time?

I really don't think it should be a problem.A LOE should suffice just so it doesn't seem like conflicting information. Just do a detailed explanation of the mode of study and how you were able to work full time and study.

this degree is postgraduate right?

etrange:
Hello House,

I am back with my questions! I swear, it is not on page one!

So I was creating my dear EE profile smoothly until I got to the education section and got stuck for the following reasons.

1) I started in January 2015 (this is when I got may admissions letter) but the session is termed 2014/15 academic session cause some of my mates actually started in Nov/Dec 2014. What should enter as my start year?

your actual start year 2015. Use your transcripts as a guide

2) I submitted my project in December 2015. I achieved this by taking as much courses as possible in a semester. This means I completed my degree in one year. But I didn't get my certificate till January 2017 and the certificate indicated Jan 2017 as my degree date. What should I indicate as my end year?[/
[b]
is it Jan 2017 on the transcripts too? If it is, I think you should use same.

3) What should I enter as total duration?
The number of years it should be.

4) My work is full time (40hrs a week) and has been so from day one. Now, I also want to select full time for my degree (15hrs a week). Will this be considered as data conflict? I don't quite understand this part.

Please, help me. Help me, my people. cry

IMO, I don't think it will be an issue. Just add a LOE and explain with details as you have done here. People even use reference letters without letterheads (albeit notorised).

Mapleking:
Hello Fam, I got a reference letter from our former employers today (myself and spouse) but the letterheads do not have an address and phone number.

It was signed by the HR and the email address was included. The HR service had been outsourced since we left and the owner passed away a few months ago, so the company is at the stage of whining down. I mentioned to the HR the need to have address and phone on the letterhead but he responded that is the only letterhead they have for now. So, can I submit the letter like that and it won't raise an issue?

Please we need info on British Columbia o.
Not even necessarily Vancouver. Places like Surrey, Abbotsford, Richmond. Info on Health registration, driving (licensing, tests, conversions), transport system, ease of getting accommodation, taxes, insurance rates, jobs, Are there areas that have more Nigerians or blacks than others?. Please those living in BC should help. Most of the info here is on Ontario, Alberta and a bit of Saskatchewan. I've been reading a lot online but can't compare with real life info from here.

Thank you!

No! Nay!! Nope!!! @bolded what sort of fallacy of hasty generalisation is that sir? How many females have you asked? Like, you can't even say some, you went ahead to say "majority". How sir? I guess somehow a woman that believes the system in Canada is a more sane clime for females to flourish is unhappy in her home and is going to Canada to escape marital woes. Smh

*By the way, the right thing is "each his or her own" I believe that was meant for ALL not just males.

Jasmine17:
Very wonderful discourse and I really missed participating in it.

If only NL was like facebook where you can see who actually liked what post sad

Anyway, each to his own. But it seems to me that a majority of the female Canadian hopefuls are engaging in this journey as a result of marital woes and unhappiness in their marriages.

It is well smiley
