God gave you various abilities and capabilities primarily to advance His Kingdom.

SCRIPTURE: Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the Lord put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the Lord had commanded. Exodus 36:1.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God gave you various abilities and capabilities primarily to advance His Kingdom.

It has been confirmed that dedication to God means waiting on Him for instruction and command unto service. Service to God involves running His errands (John 2:5). Whether it is a soul-winning assignment, assignment in the sanctuary, or in the home church, service means running errands for God.

Today, we shall be looking at one dimension of service.

Serving God with one’s ability and capability

This involves serving God with what you are able and capable of doing.

Exodus 36:1 says,

Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the Lord put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the Lord had commanded.

Service involves deploying your capability and creativity for the service of the sanctuary of God.

It is not proper when you have the capability that heaven needs for the expansion of God’s Kingdom and you only use it to make money for personal consumption.

If you know how to do something that will advance God’s Kingdom and His Agenda on earth, don’t just do that thing only to advance yourself and the world. God gave you various abilities and capabilities primarily to advance His Kingdom.

And we have three forms of ability: Physical ability, mental ability and spiritual ability.

This means, we have people deploying their energy for cleaning the House of God for others to sit. There are people who stand at junctions and direct people to church. Those are examples of deploying one’s physical energy for God.

The deployment of mental energy involves the use of your wisdom, knowledge or mental resources for the expansion of the Kingdom of God. So, make up your mind to advance the Kingdom of God with your abilities.

Remember this: God gave you various abilities and capabilities primarily to advance His Kingdom.

The Knowledge of God is key to the fear of God.

SCRIPTURE: That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the Lord, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the Lord your God for ever. Joshua 4:24

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Knowledge of God is key to the fear of God.

The knowledge of God and the fear of God are intertwined; the knowledge of God provokes the fear of God. The revelation of the personality of God is key to the manifestation of the fear of God. When you know the Almightiness of God, nobody will instruct you on how to reverence Him.

Joshua 4:24 says,

That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the Lord, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the Lord your God for ever.

You know, many people do not know that we serve a God who can make the earth to open its mouth and swallow people alive. He is the God who was the Friend of Moses, yet, He forbade Moses from entering the Promised Land because Moses violated His Principles.

He is the One whose Face is more than one million sunlight put together.

Proverbs 19:23 says,

The fear of the Lord tendeth to life and he that has it shall abide satisfied and he shall not be visited with evil.

This means, there were people who died before their time because of the lack of the fear of God. There are people in frustration today because they lack the fear of God. The Knowledge of God is key to the fear of God. Knowing God is a pathway to reverencing Him.

My counsel is: Ask God to reveal Himself to you. Consciously embark on the quest to know God from studying the Scriptures and from personal encounters.

Remember this: The Knowledge of God is key to the fear of God. Knowing God is a pathway to reverencing Him.

ACCESSING SUPERNATURAL SUPPLIES THROUGH CONNECTION TO PRIESTLY COVER

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: If the less must be blessed by the better, the less must be connected to the oil that is better.

The Scripture makes it clear that connection to priestly cover is key to accessing supernatural supplies.

Jesus was the priestly cover over Peter.

Luke 5:4-7 says,

Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. And they beckoned unto their partners, which were in the other ship, that they should come and help them. And they came, and filled both the ships, so that they began to sink.

Peter accessed great supplies as a result of his connection to Jesus, his spiritual cover.

The sons of the prophets were struggling for enlargement but in 2 Kings 6:1, Elisha went with them and ordered their supplies.

Beloved, there is a limit you can go in life with your energy. You need a prophetic push to succeed in life, even in the area of supplies. The prophetic cover can cause drastic manifestations in your life.

Hebrews 7:7 says,

My counsel is, make up your mind to connect to a prophetic cover and maintain that cover over your life and destiny.

INTEREST: A DOORWAY TO INSIGHT

One reason for lack of insight in God’s Word is lack of interest, especially in studying the Scripture.

SCRIPTURE: The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. Psalm 119:130.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One reason for lack of insight in God’s Word is lack of interest, especially in studying the Scripture.

Our anchor Scripture reveals that the entrance of God’s Word gives light and understanding to the simple. This means, it is not the Word of God that you read or hear that brings results but the Word that enters into you.

Now, what do we do for the Word of God to enter into us? How do we access the Word? And why is this important?

Interest brings insight

Hosea 6:1-3 says,

Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.

This means, we shall know if we are interested in knowing. Where there is no interest, there can be no insight.

One reason for lack of insight in God’s Word is lack of interest, especially in studying the Scriptures.

People are interested in many things. Some are interested in what to eat, drink, drive and wear. Having interest in these things is not bad. But when your interest in what to drink, eat, wear or drive is more than your interest in God and His Word, you will not necessarily receive insight from the Scriptures.

Beloved, to see insight from God’s Word, ensure that you are interested in God’s Word.

Remember this: One reason for lack of insight in God’s Word is lack of interest, especially in studying the Scriptures.

CHANNELS OF DIVINE HEALTH

It is the perfect Will of God for us to be in perfect health.

SCRIPTURE: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. 3 John 2

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is the perfect Will of God for us to be in perfect health.

The Scripture makes it clear that it is the perfect Will of God for us to be in perfect health (3 John 2).

However, once in a while, people slip into ill-health. At times, it may be due to carelessness, bad eating habits, iniquity or enemy confrontation.

Now, when someone slips into ill-health, there are scriptural provisions to get out of it. The question is: what are those provisions or channels of Divine health and healing?

1. Confession and forgiveness of sins

Confessing one’s sins is a channel of Divine healing (James 5:16). The purging or cleansing of the conscience is critical to physical healing.

2. The prayer of faith (James 5:17)

The prayer of faith is where someone who is strong in faith stands on the behalf of another person who is afflicted. The prayer of faith restores the sick to health.

3. The anointing oil and other material points of contact

The anointing oil and other material points of contact like handkerchiefs can heal the sick (Acts 19:12).

4. The gift of healing (1 Corinthians 12:9)

The gift of healing is one of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. This is where a servant of the Lord having the gift, administers it to heal the sick and the afflicted.

5. The communion table (John 6:53-54).

The Holy Communion, the Body and the Blood of Jesus Christ is also an avenue for Divine healing.

6. The Word of faith or the declaration of the Word (Mark 11:23)

If you declare into any mountainous situation in your life, like sickness, barrenness, etc., and you don’t doubt, you shall have whatsoever you declare.

I curse every sickness in your life; I decree that you are healed in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: It is the perfect Will of God for us to be in perfect health.

PATIENCE – AN ESSENTIAL FEATURE OF LOVE

In our previous study, we saw that love is a powerful force that attracts God’s Presence to a person because God is love (1 John 4:. Love is the nature of God, therefore, to love is to experience God.

In our study today, we shall look at a very essential feature of love – PATIENCE.

Love is patient.

1 Corinthians 13:4 says, Charity suffereth long…

This means, love is very patient.

I want you to take note of these points:

a. Love does not easily lose patience.

b. Love does not give up easily. Love does not give up on God or on people easily.

c. Love is expectant but not impatient.

Now, there is a difference between impatience and expectancy. Love is expectant but never impatient. A major expression of love is what God demonstrated in 1 Peter 3:9 which says,

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Today, many people ask, “Why has the world not come to an end?” The truth is, God is still giving people the chance to repent. This is because God, who is Love, is patient.

Beloved, concerning that child of yours who is acting waywardly, Love says, “He will change.”

Therefore, just as it is with the character of God, cultivate the virtue of patience. Let the love of God manifest in your life through patience.

Remember this: Love does not give up on God or on people easily.

Your passion is a pointer to your purpose.

SCRIPTURE: Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. Jeremiah 1:5

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Your passion is a pointer to your purpose.

Our anchor Scripture reveals that God planned your life before you were born. That is to say, your purpose precedes your creation. God planned and programmed your arrival on the earth before you were born.

Jeremiah 1:5 says, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Now, the question is: what are the pointers to destiny? What are the things that point a person to purpose? How do you discover God’s Purpose for your life?



1. Passion (Nehemiah 1:1-4)

Your passion is a pointer to your purpose. What you are passionate about can lead you to your destiny.



2. Affection (John 9:4)

What is established in your heart, what you love doing, has a connection with what you will live doing.



3. Potential (1 Samuel 16:16a, 23)

What you have been wired to do points you to your purpose and destiny.



4. Revelation (Luke 4:16-22)

What God shows you or the kind of dreams that keep coming to you is a pointer to what you will do with your life.



5. Impression (Acts 7:23).

This is what comes to your heart. It is a pointer to destiny fulfilment.



6. Wisdom (Genesis 41:39,40).

The area of your wisdom is the area of your stardom.



Beloved, make up your mind to pay attention to the pointers of destiny above so you can fulfil your destiny.

Remember this: Your passion is a pointer to your purpose.
